Simply Sunday: Forever Friends

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

How are you this beautiful Sunday? Hoping you are doing well. I’m feeling much better now that I have my system up and running the way it should (still may get a new computer!)

Today I’d like to share with you a pretty little card that we made at my Hostess Appreciation Party. We used the new “Jar of Love” stamp set and although I love the pretty little flowers that come with the stamp set … sometimes we just need “Quick & Simple” and that’s what I have for you today.

Let’s begin with stamping the jar image … I used the StazOn because of the “true” black color and because we watercolored our water in the jar.  There is a “water” stamp in the set if you would prefer to use that. It just depends on the look you want.

We then stamped our foliage into the jars, then began to create our flowers. There are beautiful flowers in the stamp set but when working with a large group of people, it wasn’t feasible to stamp each flower and then cut each flower out (one by one).

We used the “In Color Envelope paper” and the “Petite Petals” punch… together they created bright, pretty flowers that went quick and easy! There are 3 flowers below and then 3 that are popped up with a dimensional. To finish the flower we topped it off with a pearl in the center.

You can find a bow stamp & dies in this bundle but we created our own with the new “Burlap” ribbon. I love this stuff … you can cut it lengthwise to create a narrow ribbon or pull it apart to get more of a “twine” look. Reminds me of grandpa’s farm!

We needed a greeting to finish off the card so we used the “forever friends” from the “First Sight” stamp set. This was carried over from the Occasions Catalog, so if you missed it then, you can still add this great set to your collection.

I really do love the beautiful flowers in the Jar of Love stamp set, but sometimes you just need a “quick” card or a faster way to create multiple flowers when making a lot of cards.

Thank you so much for checking back with me today.

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

Today’s Stampin’ Supply Highlights …

So Sorry …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I have been trying to get my pics to post all morning … both my computer and camera are giving me trouble.  Technical issues again! Time for a new computer (posting from my phone).

I’m hoping to be back tomorrow with my “Simply Sunday” series.

Thank you for your patience ~

Are you ready for Fall?

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a quick post with a peek at the Holiday Catalog. With Autumn just around the corner, Stampin’ Up! has given us a wonderful new stamp set that reflects on images of fall.

This pretty card warms your heart with the warm colors of autumn and it’s harvest.

Let’s begin with the core color: Crumb Cake for base and the used to emboss the basket on… then colored using the watercoloring technique.

Our focal point… our basket is matted onto the new Burlap ribbon found in the Annual Catalog and topped off with the Delightful Dijon that you can get from the Holiday Catalog.

I think this is the perfect set for sharing the warm reflections of autumn and friendships.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

A Thoughtful Branches Christmas …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I know we have some time yet before Christmas, but I know many of you like to get your ideas early so you can begin your holiday stamping.

Today I’d like to share with you a beautiful Christmas card I designed with the Thoughtful Branches stamp set. It’s one of the cards that we made at my Hostess Appreciation Party.  I wanted to used the pretty pine tree from the stamp set and here is what I came up with …

It’s so easy to align the foliage with the branches when using the photopolymer stamps… just make sure you have plenty of ink in your ink pads or the tend to stick to the paper a bit.

I teamed up my Thoughtful Branches with the pretty “This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper” from the annual catalog. This is a great paper stack when making cards because there are actually 4 – 12 x 12 sheets each of 6 double-sided designs … a total of 24 sheets!

OK stampers … put this on your wish list: “Holly Berry Happiness” – this is the stamp set that I took the greeting from – page 27 in the Holiday Catalog. I love the holly, and the bows, and I LOVE the Coordinating Punch!

Last but not least …. I finished off my card with a pretty little bow made from the Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine, just as you would complete a gift.

I hope you enjoyed my card today … Remember that the “Thoughtful Branches” is an exclusive stamp set / bundle which end on August 31st, so if you really like this … just click the link I have for you below and you can purchase it today.

Thank you so much for the visit today, hope your day is a good one.
