Hel Stampin’ Friends ~
Wooo Hooo … I’m back in business (Yes, I had to buy a new camera) It will be nice to have a back up and this is a cute little slim one that will fit nicely in my purse!
Today I will finally get to share those two cards with you that I promised in “grey & pink”. I used Smoky Slate stamped on Smoky Slate for the background and also on the Whisper White.
I used an old photography technique where I added a touch of color (highlight) one flower which creates your focal point. It is delicate and so pretty… Wink of Stella was used in the center of the flower.
I simply used the Stampin’ Up! image to dictate where and how much color I added … just keep coloring over an area that has more grey.
The layout is similar to the Eggplant Envy card (which was my plan) and I used another greeting from the stamp set and punched it out with the circle punches.
My next card …
This card has the same layout but is now created as a vertical style card. Again the main flower is colored with a marker but not only did I add Wink of Stella to the center, but the entire flower!
I added a few rhinestones to draw your eye across the card and maintain that touch of sparkle to the card.
