SIMPLE * MASCULINE * BIRTHDAY

Hello my stampin’ friends!

Today’s card share is one of the most requested type of cards that I get … Masculine!  We’re all looking for “guy” card ideas.  I’m keeping it simple because most guys don’t like all that “fu-fu” stuff on their cards anyway.  And … it makes it making the card easier for you.

Let’s begin with the Designer Series Paper … I chose the “Sweater Weather” from the Holiday Mini catalog.  Most people would probably use the “Chocolate Chip” cardstock which coordinates with the designer paper, but I wanted to highlight the designer paper more by using the “Early Espresso”.  Besides, I love the Early Espresso!

I used “Teeny Tiny Wishes”  on page 44 of our annual catalog for my birthday greeting … I use this one a lot when I want to stamp in small places.  Works great with the Word Window punch or the Oval punch.

Don’t recognize the deer?   Well ……………… I found it in a Christmas stamp set!  The deer comes from Warmth & Wonder (same stamp set I got the greeting from yesterday).  It is a Hostess set and is found in the Holiday catalog.  There’s lots of deer hunters in Wisconsin, so I figured I couldn’t go wrong!

I sponged the Crumb Cake with Early espresso to create some dimension, then I added more by using the stampin’ dimensionals to pop up the deer piece and the mat.

I just love the “Burlap Ribbon” from the Holiday catalog.  It add so much texture to the card and looks good on a guy card!

Now … how simple was this card to make.  Even though I used a Christmas stamp set, I wanted to give you a couple days away from Christmas.  Time to reel it in …  Let’s just enjoy the autumn for a while.

Enjoy your day!
