Cool Birthday Cards ….

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Wow … If you’re looking for a way to make quick, colorful and fun birthday cards for the kids in your family (or friend circle) then the April 2021 Paper Pumpkin has just what you’re looking for!! Today I have three cute samples from the kit … two with a simple twist, and one that I have turned into a full card.

Let’s watch the video to see how easy these are to put together …. Grab yourself a cool popsicle and take a look at how you can craft with this refreshing, summery kit!

With shaped cards, shimmery elements, and two sticker sheets, this kit is perfect for crafting with loved ones across the generations! Can’t wait to see what sweet treats you make with our So Cool kit! Here’s mine ….

My first card is the Rainbow … I followed this card per the directions and love how cute it is!!

The next card is the rainbow Popsicle, the only thing I changed was the silver glitter embellishment … instead of the long banner, I used the circular banner!

Next up is another Popsicle card … this one is the Kiwi (how cute is that!) Love the greens so I wanted them to pop so I used Early Espresso as my card base … this also pulls that color out of the design.

I used the Ice Cream Designer paper as my background … the circles add to the fun of a Popsicle card!! I simply cut the pre-made Popsicle card in have … now I’m going to use the other have of my card to create a second card!! No waste.

I hope you enjoyed today’s fun and simple cards. I have listed options below so you can join us in discovering the fun and excitement of our Paper Pumpkin kits.

PLUS … I have a Private Paper Pumpkin page on Facebook that I am building with samples and videos for you to enjoy and see additional ways to use your kits. My “Pals Page” is reserved for “my” Paper Pumpkin subscribers. Come join us … subscribe by clicking HERE or purchase a subscription below.

More Ice Cream Please …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Are you ready for some Friday Fun?? Yesterday I introduced you to the Ice Cream Corner Suite, today I’d like to show you even more fun with this suite. And make sure you come back on Saturday as I’ll top off this Ice Cream party with a cherry on top … or should I say “sprinkles”!

Let’s begin with the card I shared during my Launch Party ….

Simple and cute, and it’s the perfect way to make many cards quickly! I love to work in quarters … or in the case of a 12 x 12 sheet of designer paper – 6ths! You can cut it in half and then cut the 1/2 into 4″ pieces. You will now end up with 6 – 4″ x 6″ pieces of designer paper.

I trimmed this one down to 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of designer paper … then I matted it with a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock measuring at 4″ x 5-1/4″. This is the most common layout for cards. My greeting is from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set and stamped in Blackberry Bliss. It was die cut from the Rectangle Layering Dies.

I have another quick -n- easy layout for you that requires no cutting (after your original cut of 4″ x 6″) …

This yummy little card was super easy to create … simply score your designer paper at 3/4″ and fold over onto the preferred design, on this card it is the popsicles! The Blackberry Bliss ribbon covers the bare edge of the folded piece and adds a fun touch of texture.

My greeting comes from two stamp sets; the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set and Well Said from the Annual Catalog and is stamped in Blackberry Bliss (also sounds yummy!). The Tailored Tag punch was used to highlight the greeting … and the Opal Rounds were colored with the Stampin’ Blends and placed on the card to create some sparkly fun!!

There is so much you can create with this suite and we haven’t even touched the top of the cone yet!! I still have so much more to share, and to show you what you can do with the stamp set!

Thank you for joining me today and checking out my blog, it you like what you see … give me a LIKE at the bottom of the page. You can purchase this suite, bundle or other products by clicking on any of the images below. And stay tuned for more “Ice Cream” shares!

Have a sweet day ~

Minnie or Mickey Card…

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’m excited to share what I came up with from the “Embossing Paste” background I made on Tuesday night. I hope you got a chance to watch the video yesterday, if you did … you know that I’ve created a card with the “polka dot” embossed background. Using the embossing paste adds such a fun texture to your card.

Well my friends, I couldn’t decide how I wanted to do this … so I did two cards!! I mentioned that the background reminded me of Minnie Mouse, so I thought … How Cute Would That Be??

I am just tickled pink with how it turned out!! It’s all glitzy … the background was done with the Shimmery White Embossing Paste, Minnie is from the Black Glitter paper and the greeting is highlighted with “Wink of Stella”!!

I used the “bow tie” from the upcoming “Well Suited” bundle with the Red Foil paper. The greeting comes from the Toile Christmas stamp set and die cut from the Christmas Cardinal die set. The greeting banner was colored with the Garden Green marker to coordinate with the leaf that was cut from the Poinsettia dies.

I couldn’t stop there, I had to have a Mickey!!

Made the background the same as above … polka dot mask and Shimmery White Embossing paste, I love it!! Mickey was made the same as Minnie but the hair bow was turned into a bow tie.

I used the “celebrate” from a past Paper Pumpkin kit but felt that it worked perfect for this card. This is one of the biggest benefits of being a Paper Pumpkin subscriber. I die cut it from the Tasteful Labels dies…. same with the Black Glitter base.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I created with the polka dot embossing paste … I had a “HOOT” making these! I may end up using Mickey for my daughters birthday, she is way more into Mickey than she is a “foo foo” card!

Thank you so much for sharing part of your day with me. Join me back here tomorrow as I share the “lacey” background on the Peony Garden Designer Paper.

Enjoy your day ~

Simple Shaker Cards!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Shake it, Shake it baby … oooh, oooh!! I am excited to share with you today to cards that I created for my Technique Tuesday, Facebook LIVE. I’m sharing a super simple way to make Shaker Cards that I saw at my OnStage event last weekend.

The demonstration was done by fellow demonstrator Rosemarrie Gonzalez. She shared a really fun new suite with Ice Cream cones and Popcicles … your going to love it! But until then, let me know you the technique. Sit back for a few minutes and watch my Facebook LIVE from last night. Just click on the image below to watch the video …

Isn’t that a cool idea … using clear envelopes to create shaker cards. So quick and easy!! I had so much fun making the cards. You begin with your 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card base scored at 4-1/4″ … fold in half. Your designer paper will be cut 4″ x 5-1/4″ – you could put some cardstock behind it if your want it a little sturdier for tying bows.

On this card I used the Trimming the Town Suite … I’ve used the designer paper and the All the Trimmings Ribbon Combo. The Snowflake Sequins are encased in the Clear Envelope.

The sweet little greeting comes from the Little Treats stamp set from the Little Sweets Bundle.

I had some die cut pieces left over from our Holiday Catalog & Virtual Retreat Party and used them on the inside of the card. They are die cut from the designer paper!

My next card is made for my daughters December birthday, and features the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper.

I began with a Highland Heather base and then slide my Feels Like Frost into the Clear Envelope before sprinkling in the Snowflake Sequins in. I was amazed at the change in the sequins … it picked up the color from the designer paper.

The ribbon was the fun part and accented the stunning paper, beautifully! I used the Layered Circle die and the stitched edge die from the Warm Hugs bundle.

When I trimmed the designer paper down to 4″ x 5-1/4″ … I used a piece of the scrap on the inside of the card. The Metallic Edge Ribbon is easily dyed with the Stampin’ Blends. You can also use our regular markers or even your ink refills!

I hope you enjoyed seeing how easy it is to create the fun and beautiful cards. Don’t forget you can even embellish the outside a little too!!

Thanks so much for hanging out with me today. Hope you were inspired to create “Shaker Cards” like I was when I saw it. I have listed the items used in the cards for your convenience.

Have a wonderful day ~

The Magic of Heat Embossing

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’ll be sharing my short video on the Magic of Heat Embossing … this simple technique probably dates back many years. I’ve been stamping and a demonstrator (Yes, I was not a cardmaker before I signed up!!) for 20 years, and heat embossing is what caught my attention!

I will be showing you how amazing a VersaMark pad and Clear embossing power is in transforming your projects. Grab your favorite beverage and sit back for a short video as I show you three (3) different items to emboss …

I must admit … not my best presentation but I hope you saw the magic in the technique. Here’s the the first card that I made on the video …

but I’ll also be sharing the two cards that I promised. Lets begin with the balloons ….

The balloons were created as shown in the video. In the video I said I prefer the “strings” on my balloons versed the hand drawn strings so I found some Bakers Twine and added them to my balloons.

Since we I shared the upcoming Designer Paper Sale with you, I thought I would use one of them for a background. I’m using the “In Good Taste” Designer Series paper on this card …

In fact, I have been using the “In Good Taste” Designer Series paper as my backgrounds for all my photo shoots for posting my cards right here!! All of those beautiful wood patterns, brick and tiles all come from this package, including this rustic wood which is probably my favorite!

Let’s move on to the Heartfelt Hugs designer series paper we embossed …

I love the look of the Heartwarming Hugs Designer paper, and embossing it created a stunning new look. When I punched it out with the heart (Heartwarming Hugs paper … get it! lol) I knew exactly where I was going with this card. Create layers of this designer paper to highlight the heart.

In the video you can see how lovely the designer paper is embossed so I decided to mat the heart with the new Red Foil from the Mini Catalog. The shine on both of these creates an amazing focal point to the card …

The only thing I would add to this card is “Red Rhinestones” … might add a little balance on the right side. BUT … I still love the way this card turned out.

Hope you enjoyed the video and the final cards created with this simple and fun technique … there truly is magic in heat embossing!

Here is a list of the Designer Papers on Sale starting tomorrow …

Thank you for joining me today, I’ll be back tomorrow to share the “Sunflower” card with you!! Till then …

Have an amazing day ~

Here’s A Card Stamp Set …

Have you ever had a moment when you didn’t know what to say? The “Here’s a Card” Stamp Set can help you say what you want to for any occassion so you can give them a card! We’re positive the lucky recipient of your card will love it.

The samples above show how a casual or avid stamper could coordinate with products from both the annual catalog and the holiday catalog to get cards perfect for any occasion.

In our Congratulations card, we combined this stamp set with the Leaf Punch and the Stitched Nested Dies from the annual catalog with the Feels Like Frost designer series paper from the holiday catalog.

Our Happy Birthday card features the Balloon Bouquet Punch from the annual catalog and the Brightly Gleaming designer series paper from the holiday catalog.

The Hello There card was made with the Stitched Shapes Dies and the Cup of Christmas Stamp Set.
There are so many ways to show someone how much they mean to you, but the Here’s a Card Stamp Set is a great place to start.

These cute card samples and description comes from the Stampin’ Up! home office. I love to coordinate my stamp sets with each other to really get more bang for my buck… many of them are designed to work together.

Thanks for dropping by today.  Hope you enjoyed these cute projects today, I’ll be back tomorrow with something special!

Happy Birthday Magnolia Card …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I have a beautiful card to share with you today since I missed you yesterday.  Came down with something on Saturday and it knocked me out … I’ve been sleeping ever since!  Today’s card is another from the Magnolia family and you are sure to all in love with it.

It’s pretty simple to make and we begin with the Magnolia 3D embossing folder. It’s easy to make a great impression! Just place flat cardstock in this embossing folder, run it through a die-cutting and embossing machine, and out comes cardstock with a bold textured design. 3D embossing folders take embossing to the next level, with deeper, more detailed impressions than standard embossing folders …

After the background is embossed, what better way to say happy birthday than with a beautiful magnolia flower? The images and sentiments in the versatile Magnolia Blooms Stamp Set come together in an elegant way to express your heartfelt wishes.

The magnolia was stamped with Momento Ink and sponged with Petal Pink ink using the daubers. The leaves were colored with the Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends Duo… and then the flower was fussy cut (there is no die for this flower).

The Happy Birthday also comes from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set and was punched out with the Timeless Label punch. I also used the punch to create a mat for behind the greeting which I used Mossy Meadow cardstock.

I used the beautiful Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon to finish off the card and add some texture and elegance. It really does tie the entire card together…  It maybe a simple card but it is so pretty, and don’t forget to add that touch of Wink of Stella to our Magnolia blossom, it really is pretty.

I hope you think this beautiful card was worth the wait … it was a big hit at my July Stamp Club.  I will be starting my Stamp Clubs up again this September … please let me know if you would like to join us, or would like more information about my stamp clubs.

Thank you for joining me today to check out my blog…

Have a wonderful day.

Daisy Delights: Two Guest Stampers!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather … it’s been amazing and it’s suppose to be gorgeous today too. OK … I’m not the local weather person, so let me talk more about what I’m good at, stamping!  Today I have two really cute cards that were created by my Spring Retreat Attendees Kellie and Michelle.  The spring floral cards both used the Daisy Punch, which by the way … will be in the upcoming catalog and has another stamp set to coordinate with it!

Let’s start with Kellie’s card, she used both the Daisy Punch and the Daisy Delights stamp set…

I believe Kellie used Blushing Bride and Whisper White as her core color pallet.  The white background was embossed with the Petal Burst Embossing Folder.  I love the little Happy Birthday Banner … it’s so cute and adds a sweet touch to the card.  One of my favorite embellishments, the Faceted Gems! Whether you use the Gold or the Clear, you can’t go wrong and I just love them with this daisy punch!

Count your petals on Michelle’s card …

Is this a card saying … He love me, he loves me not?  I’m not sure but it’s really cute!  Michelle’s daisies were punched out using the beautiful Shimmery White cardstock (No Wink of Stella needed!) this cardstock has a shimmer of it’s own,

Michelle’s color pallet consists of white and the beautifully bold Daffodil Delight, bright and happy! Her background was created using the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder and was cut into 3 panels to highlight each transition of the daisy

Don’t you just love a punch that can create two totally different styles of cards… That’s what I call “cost effective”! lol

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to join me in “picking daisies”.

Enjoy your day ~

Happy Birthday to Me …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I have a very quick post for you today and I’m sharing one of my “Birthday Cards” with you!  The card was created by my sister Rita …  The 2 big flowers are from “Fabulous Florets”, and the script is from “Hugs & Wishes”.

The stamps may be retired but I know many of you have these stamp sets, so I decided to share.  I will be back tomorrow with my Two for Tuesday, so I will meet back up with you then!

Thanks for stopping by … and actually, my birthday was actually yesterday.

Simply Sunday: Birthday Candles

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

If you are looking to make quick -n- easy birthday cards, look no further than your “Happy Birthday” Framelits die and your favorite designer paper! Today I have selected the Broadway Bound Specialty Designer paper.  It has bright party designs on one side, all-occasion designs with gold foil on the other side—all you need for glitzy and bold projects!

Coordinating colors: Basic Black, gold foil, Gray Granite, Lemon Lime Twist, Lovely Lipstick, Whisper White!  I chose the black and white candles with a touch of gold, perfect card for any age …

With a simple Basic Black base (everyone needs a little black dress for the party… right!) and the gold foil enhanced designer paper you are sure to be the hit of the party.  The candles are ageless but this card is for my nephew who turns 50 this year. I put a small piece of Vellum Cardstock behind the Birthday greeting so it showed off even more.

Such a fun and simple way to make a card and you can change who it will go to just by changing your designer paper.

Thank you for joining me today… I hope yours is a good one.

Today’s Stampin’ Supply List …

Mini Pizza Boxes … All Decked Out!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Hope you are doing well.  It’s finally warming up here but it’s coming with rain … however, I’ll take the rain over the blizzard conditions to the west of us!! Stay warm my friends!

Today I’d like to share another Sale-a-bration item … The Mini Pizza Box and the many different ways it can be decked out (and stuffed) Did you know two good sized cookies fit in there!!

First lets team up the Pizza Box with another Sale-a-Bration item, the “Home to Roost” stamp set.  How cute are these two items together.

Next … I would like to share one of my mantle gifts from a past Stamping Retreat.  I turned the pizza box into a “gift box”… and I embossed the top flap!! Did you know that you can use your folders to emboss the cover of the pizza box.  I decked it out with a silver glitter bow on top and rhinestones on the front … they were so pretty!

A project that our attendees made were these festively decorated pizza boxes with three gift tags tucked inside.  These also made a cute little gift, whether they wanted to share them or keep the gift box with tags for themselves … we had a blast making them and they were pretty easy to make.

Let’s move away from Christmas and head over to a birthday celebration … this cute box is surely filled with lots of happy surprises and birthday wishes.  The pizza box is paired up with the “Postcard Pals” stamp set, and I know of few of my grandchildren who would love to get this for their birthday ….

If you don’t have little kids or grandchildren to deck out one of the pizza boxes … why not try the “One Wild Ride” stamp set with it.  What a fabulous way to deck out a gift card, certificate or hey … cash!!

I hope you enjoyed the five fun ways to decorate your pizza boxes … they’re so cute I wonder if they’ll even care what’s inside!  With just a $50 order, you can add these to your goodies for FREE.  Or … if you have more supplies you need to stock up on, you can add that handsome Rooster as well.

Thank you so much for spending part of your Wednesday with me …

Have yourself and awesome day.

Delightfully Detailed Parade of Cards …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a couple of my favorite cards I created using the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut paper that is now available as a Sale-a-bration FREEBIE!!  Saturday I shared my Pool Party card with you ….

And today I have two more for you!!  This little lace beauty begins with the Delightfully Detailed Note cards (All can be found on pages 38 and 39 of the annual catalog). These note cards already have the “water wash” background so all the work is done for you! This one is the newly returned Blackberry Bliss color.

The beautiful greeting comes from the “Detailed with Love” stamp set, stamped in Blackberry Bliss and to draw your eye to the greeting I used a simple scrap piece of Very Vanilla and used the coordinating “Detailed Trio Punch” to round off the edges and punch the cute design into the ends.  The punch is bundled with the stamp set so you can save 10% on the purchase.

I finished off the envelope by stamping a cute design from the may patterns in the stamp set.

The last of the cards that I have created was for a West Bend East Graduate… those are our school colors. The greeting comes from the stamp set “High Tide” with the lighthouse.

Did you know that if you purchased the Detailed with Love Bundle, the Delightfully Detailed Note cards and either the cute Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon or the Faceted Dot that coordinate with this product suite you could get the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut paper for FREE! Oh yes, and the paper is Whisper White on one side (featured on the graduation card) and Very Vanilla on the other (featured on the note card).  Amazing and super versatile.

Delicately detailed laser-cut sheets. Vanilla on one side, white on the other side. Can easily be cut apart and used as accents on card fronts.

* 8 sheets: 4 each of 2 designs * 12″ x 12″

Please remember to use the Sale-a-bration number: 152840 for your Delightfully Detailed laser-cut sheets.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and checking in with me. I hope you enjoyed the cards. And please, let me know if you have any questions regarding this product suite. Again, you can find it on pages 38 & 39 of the annual catalog.

Have a wonderful day ~

The cute little gift bag is made with the Little Twinkle stamp set from the big Annual Catalog and coordinates with the Twinkle, Twinkle Designer Series paper!  This is a very versatile stamp set and I have it in my collection … along with the designer paper (I use it for many occasions!).   It also coordinates with the Twinkle Builder punch, Twinkle, Twinkle Cardstock pack and Twinkle Adhesive backed sequins!!

Here are a few more projects the “just twinkle” …

The cute little “Written in the Stars” gift card in the upper left hand corner and the “Love you More than the Star’s” in the lower right hand corner would be perfect for Valentines Day or a birthday.  I think birthdays are the perfect time to say “I Love You” …. heck, that’s everyday!
