Simply Sunday: Gate Fold Card with Hand-Penned Pretties

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Who said Fun Folds can’t be simple! Well … today’s Gate fold card is so easy to create and and uses the beautiful Hand-Penned Suite of products. It’s such a special card to give, we even included a belly band to make it feel like you’re opening a gift!

I’m using the stunning “Hand-Penned” designer paper today, which is currently on sale at 15% off regular price. My base is Misty Moonlight (love this color) as is my Belly Band.

Card Dimensions ….

  • Misty Moonlight Card base is cut 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″….. Score at 2-1/8″ then turn it 180 degrees and score again at 2-1/8″. This ensures both flaps are the same size.
  • Misty Moonlight Belly Band is 11″ x 1-1/2″ then simply folded around the card and secured at ends.
  • Basic White is cut 5 1/4″ x 4″ and is used for the inside.
  • Designer paper is 2 5-1/4″ x 1-7/8″ strips (Inside was 5-1/4″ x 1/2″)

Your two designer paper pieces are secured to the front flaps… and the Basic White with strip of designer paper goes on the inside.

The greeting and the flower come from the Hand-Penned Memories & More Card Pack so it makes creating this card even easier… no fuss, no muss (or should I say mess) lol I added the Genial Gems in Pale Papaya which are included in the “suite”, but can otherwise be purchased seperately.

I love the Gate Fold Technique because of it’s easy … and it creates a wow! Add that belly band and it’s like giving a gift.

Thank you for taking time out of your Sunday to stop by and check out my post.
