Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Happy 1st Day of March!! That means spring is just around the corner and that makes me happy! Today I’d like to share three beautiful cards that I created with the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle. Let’s begin with some simple beauty ….

I begin with Bumble Bee ink on Bumble cardstock and the small sunflower … creating your own background is a quick & easy was to add dimension to a card without layering. However, that didn’t stop me from adding layers … I wanted to highlight the flower (which is stamped off) and the greeting in Early Espresso stamped directly over it.

My next card also uses the small flower for my background on Very Vanilla, but this time only on the sides to frame the focal point … my large sunflower!

I used the Stampin’ Blends in Daffodil Delight, So Saffon and Soft Suede to create the realistic look on the sunflower. I colored my large sunflower the same way on my next card but then added a WOW ….

When I finished coloring the sunflower I coated it with VersaMark ink and then Heat Embossed it with clear embossing powder … WOW, that really brings out the color!! It looks so beautiful against the designer paper.
