Delightfully Detailed = Delightfully FUN!!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! Mine was good, spent time with family and even got out for a mini road trip with my sister Eileen. We went out for a nice country drive … both of us were thinking that it would be much prettier in the fall 🙂

Today I’m sharing another FUN card I created with the Delightfully Detailed Specialty Designer Paper! I had as much fun making it as it will be fun to receive. I just think it turned out so cute … OK, enough …

Here is the card …

I used the whimsical circle pattern from the Delightfully Detailed Specialty Designer Paper. You’ve got to love it when the fun is already packed into the pattern. I used Coastal Cabana for the base of my card and added pops of color from Bermuda  Bay and Soft Sea Foam.

I pulled out the Detailed with Love Stamp set which is part of this  product suite and has it’s own bundle (with the punch) to do the stamping on this card.  Just a few stamped designs and the greeting to add a touch more color and then the Faceted Dots for texture. Oh yes, and I even popped up one of those stamped designs!!

This is really a fun bundle and the specialty designer paper is a must have … it make the card making so easy!!

Hope this Birthday card added a little fun to your day!

Have a Happy Monday ~

Simply Sunday: Graduation Card

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Yesterday I shared a “generic” style Graduation Card, meaning it could be sent to anyone attending any school … today, I’m being a little more specific as I am using the “school colors”!!  I have a young lady who works for me that goes to West Bend East High School (my former high school … we have 2) and their colors are maroon and gold so today’s card will feature Cherry Cobbler and Crushed Curry!!

This card also features the new Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper ….

This amazing paper has 2 sides … One Whisper White and the other is Very Vanilla!! I love the fact that you can use this with all your color combinations now!!

Today’s graduation card is simple to put together since the Delightfully Detailed paper highlights the greeting!! The greeting comes from the “High Tide” stamp set and was cut out with the Layering Ovals Thinlits, as was the Crushed Curry mat behind it.

Don’t you just love the dimension and layers of this card … makes it look like you worked soooo hard but it really only took minutes to create!!

The “Congratulations” comes from the “Fabulous Flamingo” stamp set (got that for FREE from an Stampin’ Up! OnStage event!!) and I think the two fonts look pretty good together.  To finish off the Congratulations, I added a layer of contrast with the Cherry Cobbler and then punched both colors with the Triple Banner Punch.

Just think of the possibilities … You get four sheets with this laser cut paper so you can make quick and easy graduation cards in “any” school colors!!  How fun would that be!!  You already have the layout now … so have some fun and celebrate your school and congratulations to your graduate!!  There really is nothing little about the light they shine!!

Thank you for joining me this Sunday!!

Have a wonderful week~

Life’s a Journey …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I believe school is out for most students after this past week … and with that, I received 5 invitations to graduation parties!!  I’m so excited for these young people – some are the girls that work for me, family, neighbors and friends, they have their whole life ahead of them.

Of course I have to make cards to send them off on their new journey so I chose the “One Wild Ride” stamp set.  You and I both know it  can be a little wild once in a while but it’s also a journey to be embraced so …

I used the “Share What you Love” Designer Specialty paper and I picked two patterns that I thought were fun and youthful like my recipients. I paired it with Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White and Basic Black.

I wanted to make my “greeting” the focal point so I popped it up on the two banners which really pull your eye to the center of the card. It’s simple and fun because … Life is a journey, and I’d like them to enjoy the ride!

Hope you enjoyed the card today and you’ve kicked off your weekend on a good note.

Have a great day ~

Wednesday WOW: Springtime Impressions Thinlit Dies!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

As promised, I’m back today with another card I’d like to share with you from the Springtime Impressions Thinlit Dies! Super simple card that will wow anyone who receives it.

I began with the Delightfully Detailed Note cards and Envelopes … this time I chose the Blackberry Bliss!  I was super excited when I heard them announce this was one of the colors coming back – I just love it!!

Then I simple cut out the floral pattern die (which I showed you yesterday how to emboss with the new mats) and I did that out of Very Vanilla cardstock.  To adhere the die cut … I flipped it over and used the sponge dauber to apply the Tombo glue. It works so nice – just make sure you have a scrap piece of paper underneath so you can toss it and not get your work area full of glue.

My greeting comes from the Painted Glass stamp set (I would advise to get the bundle!!) I used the Blackberry Bliss ink to stamp it and then punched it out with the Pretty Label punch. I used the new Faceted Dots in Blackbery Bliss to anchor my greeting.

Last, I covered the entire die cut piece with Wink of Stella … it looks gorgeous! The photo does not do this justice. I would however add the Wink of Stella “before” I adhere my die cut piece. That took me longer than making the whole card!! lol

Super simple but elegant birthday card and the Stella just pushed it over the top.  I thank you for checking back and I hope you enjoyed see the “original” use of this fabulous die.

Have a great day ~

Simply Sunday: Delightfully Detailed Suite

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’d like to share with you a product suite that I totally fell in love with… the Delightfully Detailed suite by Stampin’ Up!  It contains a “bundle” of a stamp set with really cool sayings and sweet font and a coordinating punch!

That’s not all … it has the most awesome Laser Cut specialty paper you will fall in love with!!  How do I know, because I did!! Here is a simple card I created using the laser cut paper and the Delightfully Detailed Note Cards and Envelopes.

I used the Tombo Glue and sponge dauber to gently add adhesive on the back and then adhered it to the note card. The greeting and envelope was stamped with the coordinating stamp set “Detailed with Love”.  I used the punch to round the corners on my strip of paper and then punched it with the cute little decor side.

Stampin’ Up!’s Delightfully Details Suite is great for all levels of crafters! They have built in coordination that are perfect for memory keeping, card making, gift tags, or embellishing any kind of project. Watch the video below for a better feel of this entire product suite …

How Beautiful a Day Can Be …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

How are you on this beautiful day? I know they say it’s going to rain today, but I’m looking for the beautiful side of the day!!  They say whatever you think … you attract! So who doesn’t want a beautiful day?

I am excited to share with you a beautiful card … I told you yesterday about the Stampin’ Blends and that they are coming back. And on Tuesday I shared one of my favorite suites in the new catalog, the Graceful Glass. So I’m combining these two to bring you my creation …

I chose to keep a very simple color pallet … Whisper White!!  I did this so I could really highlight the “Graceful Glass” pattern of the Iris’s. I had a hard time choosing which pattern from the papers!!

I used the Old Olive Light & Dark Stampin’ Blends and the Rich Razzleberry Light & Dark to color my Iris’s and added a touch of the Dark Daffodil Delight in the center of them. Once colored … I trimmed down the design to fit with the verse I wanted to use … ENJOY LIFE is the beautiful stamp set this verse comes from!

This was a must have for me (pg. 58 New Catty) the verses the fonts … Love ’em!! The cute little butterflies also come with the set and I couldn’t resist using the Enjoy Life stamp set with the Graceful Glass designer paper!

To adhere the Graceful Glass vellum to the strip of Whisper White, I put a dab of Tombo glue onto a scrap piece of paper and used my finger to gently add some adhesive. It’s a very thin layer, I could barely see what I put directly onto the back … and you can’t see it from the front!!  Wooo Hooo!! Now there is a Stampin’ Tip you can put in the bank 🙂

This card is so easy to make and is so beautiful … and I am so hooked on this stained glass paper. I guess a rainy day would be a great day to sit down, relax and start to color!!  Hmmm … I guess that would create a relaxing, “beautiful” day!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Let me know if you have any questions on how I created today’s card.

Have a “beautiful” day ~

New In-Colors & Tips on New Pads!!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

With all the excitement over the New Catalog release, the new In-Colors and the Color Re-Vamp I thought I would share some fun tips that Stampin’ Up! has shared with us … I’ll also share a tip or two of my own.

First up are these cute cards featuring the 2018–20 In Colors! Including Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover, Grapefruit Grove, Lovely Lipstick, and Pineapple Punch, these colors are a bouquet of hues that lend well to any project.

I love the new In-Colors … they are so bright and fun!! Looks like “primary” colors and the rest of our color line fill in all the gaps with beautiful hues of everything in between!!

Next up is a video explaining our NEW Ink Pads …

My hands are not what they used to be so opening with a full hand is not as easy for me … However, I have found if I put my thumb and pointer finger in the groove, I just give a little twist – just like opening a compact (and most of us know how to do that). I myself find that a bit easier.

I’ll see if I can create a short video on how I open the new ink case if you think that will help.

Till then … Thank you for joining me!

Have a bright and colorful day~

Share What You Love …. Card Review

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I can’t believe it is Monday already (again!) time goes by way too quickly!! Today I’m going to share several cards from my “Share What You Love” collection of cards.  I thought I would be nice to see the many styles you can create with this product suite …

I’m going to share the video with you again because it explains all of the contents from each of the 3 different bundles, with the 4 bundles consisting of the New In-Colors!!

Isn’t that an amazing product suite … I love it!  This pretty card was created by Stampin’ Up! and shown in the video. It is what you can create with the first bundle. I think the first bundle is great for someone who is just starting out … they will need the ink pads and the block as well as the paper.

This is the Level 1 Bundle! Great if you are a new stamper.

Level 2 bundle. This is a step up for a more experienced stamper.  The block is gone (you’ll already have one) but you’ll get an additional stamp set and more … I love the box that contains the embellishments!!!

This card is from the level 2 bundle which was also created by Stampin’ Up! and showcases the pretty lazer cut tags from the pretty accessories box and the Pearlized Doilies.  This bundle also comes with another stamp set.  I love it because you can create your own words with it …

Level 3 … Got to Have it All Bundle!!!

This bundle is where you get the beautiful Designer Paper, a brand new “Got to Have” embossing folder and another stamp set! Here is another pic of my first card creation …

This card shows another one of the Designer papers … this one has the shimmer or Pearlized look on the flowers. It also shows the 3rd stamp set that is included in the “Got to Have It All” bundle.  You can’t see it well on this photo but I added Wink of Stella on the flowers!!

These two are my favorites … the Grapefruit Grove card above and the Mint Macaron below.  The Mint Macaron card highlights the embossing Folder, two beautiful designer paper patterns (One we cut the flowers out to create a bouquet on our card) the doily and the lazer cut tag!

I must tell you that the beautiful box has the same lovely pattern as one of the designer papers. The paper actually has the pearlized or shimmery flowers … it is stunning!!

In this photo I am showcasing the New In-Colors (Bundle 4) and the embossing folder and the many verses in the stamp set. I really love this product suite. I find it very versatile and I know I’ll be sharing more …

I hope you enjoyed taking a look back at all of the different styles (Oh there is so much more you can do as well).

Thank you for stopping in today, and please let me know if you have any questions with this beautiful product suite and the fun, fun bundles.

Have a wonderful day!
