Bright & Beautiful Background

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Yesterday I shared a fun background layout using our designer papers, today I am using the Bright & Beautiful designer series paper. If that doesn’t say party … not sure what does! This would make a fun Graduation card…. tis’ the season.

The dimensions are the same as yesterday and I popped my pattern today with the fabulous, returning “Berry Burst”. I’m teaming today’s card with the Beautiful Balloons Bundle …

I stamped the larger of the balloons and then die cut it as my focal point of the card. Then I die cut two stars and stamped my sentiment onto the larger one … then I dazzled them with my Wink of Stella. It looks so good and really pops off the card. To finish off my card I added the Lemon Lime Twist Tinsel Gems … they are so cute.

The Bright & Beautiful is another one of the designer papers which will go on sale June 1st. Hope you enjoyed this little change up. Its always fun to see what just changing out designer paper can do to a card.

Have a great day, and thank you for stoppin’ in.

Simply Sunday: Graduation Card

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Yesterday I shared a “generic” style Graduation Card, meaning it could be sent to anyone attending any school … today, I’m being a little more specific as I am using the “school colors”!!  I have a young lady who works for me that goes to West Bend East High School (my former high school … we have 2) and their colors are maroon and gold so today’s card will feature Cherry Cobbler and Crushed Curry!!

This card also features the new Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper ….

This amazing paper has 2 sides … One Whisper White and the other is Very Vanilla!! I love the fact that you can use this with all your color combinations now!!

Today’s graduation card is simple to put together since the Delightfully Detailed paper highlights the greeting!! The greeting comes from the “High Tide” stamp set and was cut out with the Layering Ovals Thinlits, as was the Crushed Curry mat behind it.

Don’t you just love the dimension and layers of this card … makes it look like you worked soooo hard but it really only took minutes to create!!

The “Congratulations” comes from the “Fabulous Flamingo” stamp set (got that for FREE from an Stampin’ Up! OnStage event!!) and I think the two fonts look pretty good together.  To finish off the Congratulations, I added a layer of contrast with the Cherry Cobbler and then punched both colors with the Triple Banner Punch.

Just think of the possibilities … You get four sheets with this laser cut paper so you can make quick and easy graduation cards in “any” school colors!!  How fun would that be!!  You already have the layout now … so have some fun and celebrate your school and congratulations to your graduate!!  There really is nothing little about the light they shine!!

Thank you for joining me this Sunday!!

Have a wonderful week~

Life’s a Journey …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I believe school is out for most students after this past week … and with that, I received 5 invitations to graduation parties!!  I’m so excited for these young people – some are the girls that work for me, family, neighbors and friends, they have their whole life ahead of them.

Of course I have to make cards to send them off on their new journey so I chose the “One Wild Ride” stamp set.  You and I both know it  can be a little wild once in a while but it’s also a journey to be embraced so …

I used the “Share What you Love” Designer Specialty paper and I picked two patterns that I thought were fun and youthful like my recipients. I paired it with Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White and Basic Black.

I wanted to make my “greeting” the focal point so I popped it up on the two banners which really pull your eye to the center of the card. It’s simple and fun because … Life is a journey, and I’d like them to enjoy the ride!

Hope you enjoyed the card today and you’ve kicked off your weekend on a good note.

Have a great day ~

Simply Sunday: Congratulations

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

We have now entered that time of year when “Congratulations” cards are a hot commodity! Graduations, anniversaries, weddings … even job promotions … these are all events that we need cards for so today I’d like to help you out by sharing a simple yet pretty card for such an occasion.

I chose Black & Gold because it can be used for any of the occasions I mentioned and it’s super simple to make. I’m using the new “Pop of Pink” Designer Washi Tape and the Flourishing Phrases stamp set.

Words are powerful. This set has the words you need for all occasions: thank you, congratulations, thinking of love, love you. Lift up your friends, send good thoughts to your family. I love this set!!

You will also need Whisper White, Basic Black cardstocks and our Gold Foil Sheets, plus one little scrap piece of vellum for the Bitty Butterfly!

I added the new “”Metallic Enamel Shapes” for the body of my butterfly and to finish off the rest of the card. They are cute and really match up nicely with the foil sheets. (Both come in Silver and Gold)

Don’t you think this makes a great “Congratulations” card … and so simple! A little Washi Tape, a little stamping, punch a couple butterflies and your done.

Now … Yesterday I promised to share a few other cards that we have done in our stamping clubs.

Our clubs meet 1 day a month. Each group has a minimum of 6 and a max of 10 participants.

There is no cost for your projects, however each participant is required to spend a certain amount each month … that amount depends on the amount of people. This is done so each of our participants gets to take a turn “hosting” … this only means “YOU” get the hostess benefits (free stamps and / or accessories).

It is a commitment that you make to participate for the entire “club year” … 10 months. It goes by so fast, it’s kind of sad when we break for summer! So let me know if your thinking about joining us this fall.  Seats fill up fast!

Thank you for sharing a piece of your Sunday with me.

I hope you have a wonderful day ~
