Petal Pallet: Life Is So Much Better

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you got to enjoy a wonderful weekend and got spoiled a little!  I also hope you got a chance to check out my post yesterday to see the new In-colors. I love these cards and the simplicity yet they were so pretty!

Today I have one of the cards that I created for the Spring Stamping Retreat.  Our retreat highlighted “caring” cards … cards that we create to make someone feel better, to cheer, encourage or relay our sympathies. This was one of those cards …

I began with the Petal Pallet bundle and designer series paper. I knew I wanted to use the beautiful floral die in the bundle.  I also want a little bit different of a fold … just for fun! Petal Pallet will be in the upcoming catalog but it will no longer be a bundle (Save 10%) after May 31st.

We used the Multipurpose adhesive sheets with the Silver Foil sheets and then cut them out with the BigShot! Turns them into stickers … and then we just pressed them onto our card.  This made it super simple to watercolor the flowers using ink and Aqua Painters. Then we drew the little lines into the flower petals with the coordinating marker.

I’ve used the Petal Pallet bundle quite a few times already, it is a very versatile stamp set and I love the coordinating dies. It has great verses / greetings as well … and I will admit, that will sway me towards a stamp set.  Sometimes I will choose a stamp set just because of the beautiful verses.

Thanks for dropping in for the visit today …

I hope you have a marvelous Monday!

Simply Sunday: New In-Color Introduction …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

First let me wish all of you a Happy Mother’s Day … to all of you who inspire, care for, support and encourage others, this day is for you whether you gave birth or not, because that is what mothers do. It’s your day … enjoy!!

Today I have a special treat for you, 5 cards created with the “Share What You Love” Bundle that showcase our new 2018-2020 In-Colors!!  This is a pretty yet simple card to create, just some turns of that BigShot and your on your way!

Each card is stamped with it’s coordinating color and embossed with the Lovely Floral embossing folder found in the Share What You Love product suite.  Before I embossed the flower on the small square … I cut out the square using the Stitched Shape Framelit Dies.

Here is a photo to show you how I aligned the cardstock into the die so I could emboss the lower left-hand corner … it gives the card a little extra texture!

The folder actually aligns up to the left side of your BigShot platform and your cardstock to the right … now tuck your cardstock down into the folder so the corner sits into the center of the flower. Works great and gives you just that little touch of texture!

Now … let’s see those beautiful new In-Colors close up! These are fun, playful colors you are sure to fall in love with!!

Introducing: LOVELY LIPSTICK: I simply love this fun new color! It’s not quite red or hot pink but somewhere in between to give you a fun … sassy red!

GRAPEFRUIT GROVE … I don’t know how to describe this color other that it really looks like the wonderful grapefruit color you see when you slice open a juicy grapefruit .. YUM!!

PINEAPPLE PUNCH … and speaking of YUM, who doesn’t like pineapple? This color is a soft, sunny yellow that will just bring a smile to your face.

CALL ME CLOVER … Callin’ all lovers of green, you will definately fall for this one, just like laying in a patch of clover on a warm summer day!  Hmmm … does that bring an image to your mind that makes you want to match this up with another new color? Let’s just wait and see!!

BLUEBERRY BUSHEL …  Another yummy color, this warm blue will really remind you of pint of blueberries. I am really liking this one!

Are you in love with the new In-Colors yet?  I am … I really think the new color pallet is new and fresh and just what we needed to compliment our color line.

In addition to new colors, Stampin’ Up! also redesigned our ink pads. The case is a new, more intuitive design and they’ve improved the formula of the ink, as well! No more bubbling!! I know you’ll love that!

I want to thank you for joining me today and taking time out of your day to share it with me.

I wish you a colorful day filled with fun!!
