Animal Outing: Mirror Image Technique

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m sharing some cute cards with a little help from my friends. What do a frog, a giraffe, a koala bear, a bird, a kangaroo and a rhino all have in common? The answer’s obvious: they’re all in this stamp set!  I don’t often buy this genre of stamp sets but I could not resist Animal Outing, and I will miss it when it retires in a couple weeks.

Let me share some cute cards created with “Animal Outing” and the Mirror Image technique I taught with this set.  Our “Welcome Little One” card showcases the Kangaroo and also highlights the beautiful “Perennial Essence” Designer Series paper (Last Sunday I showcased 4 cards using this designer paper). You can view them by clicking on the link.

You will not find this card short of dimension or texture! The die cut background creates depth and our cute little stitched hearts help to create a focal point around our mama kangaroo.

On the second card the rhino gets the glory …

Our Rhino is highlighted with a die cut oval and backed with some scrap pieces of the Dinoraur Designer Series paper … going to miss that bundle too 😦  The die cut leaves and greeting create some added texture and dimension to this card as well.

My last card highlights the giraffe and a technique called “Reverse Image”.  I taught this technique in one of my classes which showcased the Stamparatus! You can see the step by step instructions here.

Now … they might be a little close for today’s “Social Distancing” but never the less … they really do make a cute pair.  I created some added depth to this card by stamping the leaves in the same color as our cardstock; Garden Green. The dimension is added by popping up the greeting and the giraffe from the background … a little Linen Thread behind our greeting adds some texture to the card.

Check out the punches as there are some on the discontinued list as well. You can do so by heading over to my website (Click Here) and then hit “SHOP” in the upper right hand corner. You can go directly to the punches or click on the retiring products.

Thank you for spending a part of your Saturday with me. I hope you check out the other cards and instructions I shared with you today.

Enjoy your day ~

Here is a list of the highlighted supplies used in today’s cards …
