Hello Stampin’ Friends,
How are you on this rainy day? Well, I have a little sunshine to share with you today! Straight from the Honey Bee bundle. This super sweet card is easy to recreate and is sure to bring sunshine into the life of the person who receives it.
I realized that the designer paper was from Sale-a-bration but it’s so stinkin’ cute, I had to use it. I will come back tomorrow with another sample for you without the designer paper, just in case you didn’t get your hands on some. You’ll want to stop back and see it … we’ll “bee” creating a fun background.
My Simply Sunday cards focus on creating cute -n- easy cards … basically keeping to stamps and paper. Here I stamped the bee hive in Crushed Curry and the greeting in Black. Our little bee was stamped, colored with the Crushed Curry Marker and die cut. Normally I don’t use dies but … it’s much easier to die cut the bee than to hand cut him! lol If you do have the designer paper, the small bee die will cut out the small bee on the designer paper!!
I added Wink of Stella to the bee hive and my little bee … the person who is getting this card has a sparkle in her eyes and a big fan of all thing glittery! The original layout was designed as “portrait” but as I was ready to place the hive to the front of the card, I decided that a landscape layout worked better … all based on the bees on my designer paper.
Hope you enjoyed today’s quick -n- cute card and be sure to stop back tomorrow as I share an alternative to the designer paper.
I’d like to Thank you for stopping by today and wish you sunshine and happiness.
Here is a list of the products I used on today’s card…
Cute card Linda. I love this set and all the parts that go with it i.e. paper, dies, and stamp set. It’s a “make you feel good set.” So many different ideas with how to use this set. My family will all be getting a “bee happy” card soon.
Thank you Kathie! And I agree with you 100% how fun this bundle is … I was sad to see it on the “Retiring” List 😦 I would love to see the card you are making for your family … then maybe, with your permission, we can share it right here on my blog!! 🙂
