Free as a Bird …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Happy Friday to you!! Today I have a really cute card to share with you that was created with the Free As A Bird Bundle from the Bird Ballad product suite. If you’ve been on the look out for a great “friend” stamp set, this will most likely be on your Wish List already!  It represents a group of friends and the sentiments are so sweet. If you haven’t see it yet, here it is …

Don’t you think the birds in the Free As A Bird Stamp Set are so cuuuute! Send them to all your friends because you know they deserve it!! And pretty cards are so much more fun than bills in the mailbox … this is sure to cheer someone up or just let them know how much you appreciate them ❤

Today’s card was a swap card from the Stampin’ Up! Leadership event I attended in Terra Haute, Indiana.  I am so sorry that I don’t have the demonstrators name who created this cute card …

I love the introduction of the new catalog … it’s crazy fun! There is so much to share with you.  You will be seeing more of this bundle from me … it will be featured at my Kick Off party which is in the works right now, and probably a class so I can show you a few fun techniques that pair well with this stamp set.

She used the Stitched Nested Labels Dies which is part of the bundle, along with the beautiful Layered Leaves 3-D folder … and you can’t miss the polka dot ribbon, it really ties the card together.

I wish you a wonderful weekend.  I will be in Door County doing a little “planning” and having a little fun!

Thanks for stopping by ~

Come Sail Away …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Looking for a unique Graduation Card? Today I have a card to share with you that would work perfectly for a graduation or a new job.  It’s the perfect solution if your recipient loves to sail, enjoys boating or just being on the water … the Come Sail Away Suite!  You will find this suite in the new catalog (and if you need one, let me know) and it’s sure to be your new “go to” stamp set for masculine or water lovin’ friends once you see all the different elements included in this suite.

Whether you’re looking for a graduation card or you want to send your friend some summer fun, you will find this suite on pages 144 – 146. Page 145 has all the bundle and all the fun elements included in the suite.  Did you know you can now purchase an entire suite with just one item number?  …. Sweet!

My background has one of the designs for the Come Sail Away Designer Series paper and is adhered to the Night of Navy card base.  My sail boat and greeting are both stamped with Night of Navy on Sahara Sand cardstock.  I used the coordinating Balmy Blue cardstock to pull the color out of the designer paper and embossed it with the “High Seas” 3D Embossing Folder that is included in the suite and adds texture to the card.

Also included in the suite are the Bakers Twine and Sail Away Trinkets which embellish the card so nicely.  The bakers twine ties the colors together and the “helm” or “ships steering wheel” adds some fun dimension to the card and ties nicely with the greeting which was die cut using the circle dies.

The lighthouse and birds were stamped on the inside of the card to create a little interest when writing your note.  Besides … I love lighthouses!!

Thank you for joining me today, hope yours is a good one.

See you tomorrow ~

It’s Your Day … Masculine Card

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Wow … those weekends sure go fast!  I hope you had a chance to check out my Simply Sunday post that featured “A Good Man” stamp set.  Truth is, this is the same stamp set I will be using today!  I’m stepping it up from the simplicity of yesterdays card and adding some more dimension and interest to the card. This card is inspired by my brothers upcoming birthday.

I wanted to layer some of the handsome designer paper from the catalog … the Come Sail Away is very masculine and compliments this stamp set nicely (I used it yesterday too).  To me, there is nothing more relaxing that sitting on a beach or cliff side over looking the water so I added a nautical touch to my card.  I went with a monochromatic style as well …

I knew I wanted to use the sail boats and the striped paper, so I wanted the striped paper to look like it fit the entire front (but I didn’t want to waste the paper you couldn’t see, so I used two 4″ wide x 1″ pieces and centered them at the top and the bottom on the front / base of my card.  The designer paper with the sail boats was cut into the 4-1/4″ x 4″ wide and then I added a touch of Night of Navy to the top and bottom for an added touch of color and to pull the Night of Navy throughout the card.

I then stamped my image “of the guy relaxing” in Night of Navy onto Whisper White … then I used the Aqua Painter to pull in a little color into his shorts and hat.  This helps draw the eye to the focal point of the card.

I was using the “It’s Your Day!” for my greeting but wanted more … so I used two of the rectangles from the Stitched Rectangle dies together to create an interesting visual effect to the card. With that, I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies to cut out my greeting … this kept the texture of stitching throughout the card.  To bring another “circle” shape and balance out my card, I used the ships wheel also known as the helm.

So … if you have that guy in your life that loves the beach, sailing or boating of any kind, the combination of “A Good Man” and the “Come Sail Away” Designer paper is a must have.  I will be sharing some of my creations using the Come Sail Away Suite later this week, so I hope you keep back so you don’t miss a thing.

I would love to hear what you would like to see from the new catalog, till then, I’ll keep sharing what I already have stocked up.

Thanks for spending a part of you Monday with me!!

Have a good day and I’ll see you tomorrow.

Simply Sunday … A Good Dad

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, I have not been feeling well and I just took the time off my blog. BUT … I’m back today with a new card from an wonderful new stamp set; A Good Man!

I was thrilled to see the “masculine” stamp sets carry over from the Occasions Catalog and to find this one in the new catalog along side them.  If you haven’t checked it out yet, here is a glimpse of the stamp set ….

You will find “A Good Man” on page 147.  Today’s card is all about being a good dad, perfect for the upcoming Father’s Day holiday.  This simple card will be easy for you to recreate.  I have a list of steps listed below on how I assembled it …

I actually began by choosing a designer paper and I liked the color scheme of the Come Sail Away Designer Series paper. It has a wonderful array of masculine colors; Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Mossy Meadow, and Soft Suede.

The next step was to determine the size I wanted to stamp (5-1/2″ x 2-3/4″) this size fit my stamped images nicely and gave me room to add a nice embellishment. I used the twine from the Sail Away product suite.  I used Night of Navy to “pop” my stamped images … I used scrap pieces and trimmed them off at 5-1/2″ to align with the stamped image.  You could do the same with the designer paper, as this is a great paper saving technique. The assembly was then mounted onto the Balmy Blue and then the Sahara Sand base.

That’s it … simple!  Oh yes, I forgot to mention that when I stamped the man and child, I used the Aqua Painter right after I stamped the image to pull a little color out and create a focal point that draws your eye to the stamped image.  It was stamped in Night of Navy.

Thanks for hanging out till I got back!!  Be sure to stop back tomorrow, I have another great card using the stamp set “A Good Man”. It’s a step up from today’s card, and I’m sure you’ll love it.

Have an awesome day … It’s Monday!! See you tomorrow.

TODAY’S STAMPING SUPPLY LIST …

Guest Stamper: Gloria H.

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have yet one more beautiful card from the Magnolia Lane product suite. This card was made by my friend and fellow demonstrator Gloria Helmbrecht.  This was Gloria’s swap card from the Stampin’ Up! Leadership event we attended a few weeks back … with all the pretty samples being shown, I just had to share with you.

Gloria stamped her magnolia image and cut it out using the coordinating dies.  She then creatively colored her magnolia using the watercolor technique.  The flower was then mounted onto the card front that had the stunning Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper.  This designer paper features hand-painted impressionistic imagery in rich colors.

Coordinating colors in the Perennial Designer paper includes. Balmy Blue, Blackberry Bliss, Blueberry Bushel, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Flirty Flamingo, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Petal Pink, So Saffron, Whisper White.

I am so excited to share more of the products from the new catalog in the upcoming posts … Is there anything that you would like to see right away? Hopefully I have that item and can share some samples with you.

Thank you for checking out my blog today, hope yours is a good one.

Magnolia Lane Product Suite …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you enjoyed your weekend and the parade of cards that I showcased yesterday. Just a quick reminder that today is the last day for the retirement list and discounted items, also to stock up on cardstocks and stuff before the price increase that is in the new catalog.

Today I want to share one of my favorite product suites in the new catalog; the Magnolia Lane product suite.  There are going to be so many different ways and techniques to use with this beautiful suite, the possibilities are endless! I started with the basics, designer paper and stamps to create a beautiful card to say “Thanks” for supporting me in my stamping business.

I wanted to showcase the beautiful Magnolia Lane Designer paper so I used the Magnolia Lane Memories and More Cards & Envelopes for my base. The designer paper is cut 4″ x 3-1/2″ to fit inside the silver borders that are preprinted on the base.  I stamped the “thanks” onto Whisper White cardstock and punched it out using the NEW Timeless Label punch … this was popped up with dimensionals and the front of the card was finished.

These are just 3 of the patterns I used to create my Thank you cards ….

To create the inside of the card, I cut a 5″ x 3-1/4″ (approximately) piece of Whisper White … this gave a  more even border around the white.  I then stamped the sentiment onto the cardstock.  To finish I stamped the small magnolia bloom and colored it with the Petal Pink and Mossy Meadows Stampin’ Blends combo packs.

The Stampin’ Blends give the perfect touch of color to the magnolia stamps, so easy to shade and highlight with the combos … I like the way it make “me” look like an artist and all I’m doing in coloring!  This is just a little peek into what you’ll be able to create with this product suite. I’ll be hosting a class and will be sharing more magnolia’s with you.

So friends, I’m sure you know by know that you can save 10% when purchasing the stamp set and dies in a bundle, well, if you look in the upper right hand corner of the catalog on page 37 … you will see that you can now order the “entire” product suite with just one number!!  Wooo Hoooo … easy, breazy!

Thank you so very much for stopping by and spending some time with me today. I would love to know what you would like to see from the new catalog.  Need one?  If you are looking for a demonstrator, message me and I would be honored to help you!

Let’s start out this week with a smile … have a great day!

Check out the NEW In-Colors

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Happy June 1st to you!! It is another rainy day here (and in a lot of places) which makes it a good day to stamp, however when I see my friends throughout the country posting pictures of water running over the bridges or creeping into their back yards … it gets a little scary. My prayers are with all of the families struggling with the flooding.

Hope this will take your mind off of your troubles today.  I would like to share with you the new 2019 – 2021 In-Colors …

The color pallet for the NEW 2019-2021 In-Colors are soft and muted and are going to compliment so many of our current color pallet. I am loving these, it’s hard for me to pick a favorite … so I’ll pick 2: The Purple Posie and the Pretty Peacock are two of my favorites! Yet the Seaside Spray is soooo pretty. What is your favorite … Let me know in the message box below.

Here is the Seaside Spray in a close-up …

I used the “To a Wild Rose” stamp set to showcase my In-Colors. This pretty stamp set is a Photopolymer and a “two-step” design … The rose has a realistic base stamp and the second is more detailed and allows a beautiful highlights and lowlights when stamped. I did not use that stamp, I used the third which has the detailed line design.

The “To a Wild Rose” is going to create some amazing cards so you will be seeing more from this stamp set.  Sometimes I buy stamp sets just for the greetings/sentiments and this one is perfect for friends.  We all need that one or two special friend in our life can can get us through anything … then we are truly blessed ❤

I hope you enjoyed my In-Color showcase today, you’ll be seeing a lot of these colors in the upcoming year, I think these colors are amazing … I’d love to hear what you think.

Also … I want to let you know that there is going to be a minimal price increase on the cardstocks and stuff, so now would be a good time to replenish your inventory. The new catalog and prices go live on June 4th!!

Thanks for hanging out with me today, hope to see you back tomorrow.

I’m back with more Samples!!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’m back!  I took a little break while I was down in Terra Haute, Indiana for a Stampin’ Up! event … our Great Lakes Leadership event.  I went with my friend and fellow demonstrator Gloria Helmbrecht. There we met with other Stampin’ Up! leaders and our Great Lakes Region Manager … Shannon West. We were there to learn more about our business and how to help our downlines, and that is why I was there!

Plus … there was swapping and samples (some of which I will share today) and share more in the upcoming days. Here is a cute display that my new demo friend Michelle made …

Several demonstrators shared their work to create a beautiful display of cards, many from the new 2019-2020 Catalog! And while I’m on that thought … my catalogs will be arriving shortly!! And if you’re a current customer of mine, you’ll have one with your name on it!! If you don’t have a demonstrator and would like a catalog, message me, I’d be honored to include you in my group of stamping friends.

Here is a sampling of bookmarks that someone made (I do not have a name to give the credit to). These were created from the Everythings Rosie Limited time promotion that is currently taking place, again, contact me if you would like more information.

Aren’t they adorable? I am hosting a class on Thursday with this kit. This was a pre-purchase class, so each participant in the class will come in to their kit and the supplies need to create the cards I designed. I’m looking forward to a fun evening with stampin’ friends.

My last share today is a card that a fellow demonstrator made using the new Hostess Stamp Set; New Wonders. I think this is one of the cutest Hostess sets and I just can’t resist getting it for myself!

I hope you enjoyed this little showcase, I’ll be back with more!! There a so many opportunities to connect with fellow demonstrators and stampers, if you are looking to find like minded individuals, new friends … or your “tribe” so to speak, message me … let’s talk.

Have yourself a beautiful day, and I’ll see you back here tomorrow.

Here is the link to purchase the Everything is Rosy product medley … If you purchases this through me before the end of the month when the promotion ends, I will send you a tutorial of all the project we are making in my Everything is Rosy Class! Thank you.

New Catalog Sneak Peek: Follow Your Art

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have another sneak peek inside the new Annual catalog for you. I’m going to be sharing one of the Make & Takes that we made at our OnStage event that I attended.  It comes from the new “Follow Your Art” product suite which is perfect for all of my crafting friends ….

Our card highlights some of the items in the Follow Your Art suite … you can see the stamped images; rolls of ribbon, greeting and the button background. you’ll also notice the cute designer series paper.

This product suite is more than just the stamp set and dies bundle which we are used to (which is still an option to purchase and save 10%) but now, with one item number …. you can purchase the entire suite which includes that stamp set, dies, designer paper, embossing folder, embellishment kit, washi tape and more!!  I can’t wait for you to get your catalogs!!

So no matter what your crafting pleasure is, this suite will have something fun for you to enjoy!  Did you notice the little Stampin’ Up! boxes … they are so cute, and what a clever way to give a gift of crafting than in that box.

Make sure to stop back all week, and bring your friends … I will be posting some swap cards, cards designed with the new IN-COLORS and more!

Thank you for sharing a part of your day with me today, I’ll see you tomorrow.

Perennial Essence Suite

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m going to share with you another peak into the new catalog. Oh … the new catalog! Coming to a mailbox near you, or join me at an upcoming event and pick one up, either way … they should be here in 4 – 6 weeks.

So as we turn the pages of this catalog, you will find the beautiful Perennial Essence Product Suite.  Stampin’ Up! did something new this year … instead of writing in “all” the items in the suite that you felll in love with, you can now just write in a single number and get it all.  Plus, the bundle numbers are still available or purchase your items separately.

I’m going to share three cards today, we will start with the basic of the three …

The beautiful Floral Essence stamp set is laced with pretty flowers and wonderful greetings, and coordinates with the Perennial Flower punch.  I hope you also noticed the stunning designer paper; Perennial Essence with it’s Hand-painted impressionistic imagery.

Our second image as the first has stamped onto the Perennial Essence Vellum cardstock and punched out to create these lovely flowers which adorn the hand stamped images on the whisper white.

Here we added another flower and the bakers twine. This one (above) is the Make -n- Take that we did at our OnStage event.  Now if you really want to see how you can jazz it up … just look at this!

On our final card we used the beautiful vellum instead of the cardstock, it gives you a warmer tone to the card.  All three are beautiful … what level of stamping do you do?  Beginner, casual or an avid stamper … have to have it all!  Yup, that would be me! That’s why I became a demonstrator, wanted the discount.  Stayed because of all the wonderful relationships I have built

I hope you enjoyed the cards today, more for you tomorrow.

Have yourself a fabulous Friday!

OnStage 2019 Insights and Sneak Peeks …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I am back today with some more fun from our OnStage event and more sneak peeks! I hope you got your “Retirement Lists” downloaded from my blog yesterday, let me know if you have any questions … I just want to remind you that some items to very fast, and when they are gone, they are gone.

OK … On to the FUN!!! On Monday I shared some insight into our leaders event “CenterStage” so today I want to share with you the main event that I get to share with my team!  Since I registered the day before, I got the chance to set up our table while my team registered …

Stampin’ Up! already had some “fun” on our tables, clip boards with some fun games to play and a box full of goodies for our Make -n- Takes!  You will notice a few extra goodied that I set up for my team (and the ladies that were at the same table… I brought treats for all).

The treats that I brought also had a message for my team: The chocolate “Stars” represent their dreams and goals, the “carrots” represent the incentives available while working towards your goals, the chocolate “coins” represent the rewards received when they achieve their goals … the “Star” lollipop represents our team “The Star’s by Design” and the mints are because I think my team members are worth a “mint”!  The chocolate pretzels? Well those are just a treat … because they are worth it!!

Let me introduce you to the Star’s team members who were able to join me … We missed the rest of our team who could not make this event (but there will be another in November … and we’d like you to join us too!)

From Left to Right: Becky, me, Kathy and Connie

At OnStage we get a bag (you can see it on the table… a NEW In-Color) filled with goodie; a stamp set, pens, a journal, a punch, some file folders and more … awesome stuff for our business/hobby.  During the day we watch great demonstrations by our fellow demonstrators highlighting new products AND we get to play with some of the new stuff ourselves with Make -n- Takes.

Here is Connie and one of our table mates, Jane …

Well now … I can’t tease you with pictures of us doing Make -n- Takes and not show you at least one of the cards we made.  This one is from the new “Bird Ballad” product suite. A suite is a grouping of products that coordinate and will take the guess work out of what you need to create projects with the core stamp set.

This product suite brings nature to your doorstep with these sweet birds, and the designer paper has a soft watercolor effect. Here is our Make -n- Take …

The birds on the branch is too cute and reminds me of a bunch of friends gathering, my coloring could be improved but I was quite happy that I actually did my Make -n- Takes this time. My favorite … the soft blue background and the hand colored birds and blossoms on the designer paper is so pretty.

I will be back tomorrow with more sneak peeks and samples. Let me just say, this catalog does not disappoint! See you tomorrow.

Thanks so much for joining me today.
