Friendships Make for a Beautiful Day

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have another card that features the beautiful flower from the Beautiful Day stamp set and Brusho Crystal Colours. You’ve seen my step by step tutorial and I’ve shared videos on “how to” … Are you hooked yet?

Today you will see a similar layout to the past floral card but I’ve toned it down with Black & White and brought back the “Petal Passion” Designer Series paper! I liked the woodsy pattern and thought it would compliment my rose.

I added the “Burlap” Ribbon to add texture and bring in a natural element to the card.

My greeting was taken from the “Beautiful Bouquet” stamp set found on page 92 of the Annual Catalog. The flowers are beautiful and it does have coordinating dies however … I bought this set for the greetings!!  I’ll play the entire set and share that with you another day.

I have a lot of natural elements to this card but …

I wanted to add a little sparkle for my friend – Wink of Stella.  We met when we were 10 years old and we are still friends 50 years later. Amazing to think back on those days in our neighborhood ❤ Warm memories. She just lost her Mom too … I think they’re both watching over us again, just like they did 50 years ago.

Two for Tuesday: Brusho Crystal Colour Techniques

On Sunday I shared a step by step tutorial on how I made my Brusho Floral card, today I’m going to share 2 videos from Stampin’ Up!.  One showing different techniques for the Brusho Crystal Colour and the second will show you how easy it is to create the card that is in the Occasions Catalog!

Watching the videos helped me learn some simple and more advanced techniques in coloring with Brush Crystal Colour, but the best way to learn is to get the Brusho in your hands and play!!

Here is the video that shows how easy it is to recreate the sample in the Occasions catalog … page 26!

I hope these videos and my Sunday post helped you to understand more about the new Brusho Crystal Colour. I will be sharing more cards with you and as I stated, will be hosting a class so you can get a hands-on experience with this fabulous new watercoloring medium.

Simply Sunday: Party Panda’s / Guest Stamper: Brenda

Today I’m going to share another cute card made with our little Party Pandas! This card was created by Brenda Morateck, one of my Star’s (someone who signed up as a demonstrator with me). This card is from our Star’s Christmas Party Card Swap.

The card swap challenge was “Something New” … either the Occasions Catalog or the Sale-A-Bration catalog and Brenda chose the Party Pandas

This card was created with the Petal Passion Designer Paper and the fun and bright Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock!

Our cute little Panda is highlighted with the help of the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. You can’t go wrong with these little guys and you can get them for FREE with a $50 purchase during our Sale-a-bration promotion!

This month my Stampin’ Clubs are working with the Petal Passion Product Suite and the coordination Designer Paper, so I used another pattern from it and sponged “turquoise”  on it giving it the “Ombre” look … I did mine from dark to light!

Merry Christmas to you …

I hope that you are enjoying a beautiful and blessed Christmas with your family and friends. I am doing the same.

As many of you know, several of my family members are fighting cancer including my mother, so I have been spending extra time with her … this is one of the reasons I have not been posting everyday.

Stamping soothes my soul and I will be sharing my cards soon …. Today I want to Thank You for sharing your time with me this past year.

So I wish you and your family the happiest of holidays and I look forward to stamping with you in the new year … I have many new stamping events planned in 2018.

Two for Tuesday: Something Old … Something New

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have two cards for you! One from the Holiday Catalog (something old …really?) and something new … a sneak peek into the 2018 Occasions Catalog.

Both cards feature the same layout and the same designer paper … Bundle of Love Specialty paper. I chose this paper because it was fun (shining polka dots) and a neutral base.

I had some holiday fun with my first card … I started with the Jar of Love stamp set (very familiar to some of you) and teamed it up with the Good Tidings stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.

I added the touch of holly to the jar and filled the jar with the same stamp the added the berries to my holly.  But my jar is filled with Sour Cherry Balls! lol  The greeting also comes from the Good Tiding stamp set.

My next card comes from the pages of the new 2018 Occasions Catalog! Your catalogs are on their way … and when you get it, turn to page 17 and you will see the “A Good Day” stamp set, the Mini Embroidery Hoops and the coordinating Scallop Circle punch!

These items are going to be a fun suite to play with. The two different size hoops coordinate with the two new Scallop punches … and the stamp set has many different greetings for you to use.

Take a look at the cute little Epoxy Shapes (some with glitter) These were colored with the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends then the Old Olive to create the Lemon/Lime color. Oh yes … and that pretty little bow, well you can find that in the Annual Catalog!
