Delightfully Detailed Parade of Cards …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a couple of my favorite cards I created using the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut paper that is now available as a Sale-a-bration FREEBIE!!  Saturday I shared my Pool Party card with you ….

And today I have two more for you!!  This little lace beauty begins with the Delightfully Detailed Note cards (All can be found on pages 38 and 39 of the annual catalog). These note cards already have the “water wash” background so all the work is done for you! This one is the newly returned Blackberry Bliss color.

The beautiful greeting comes from the “Detailed with Love” stamp set, stamped in Blackberry Bliss and to draw your eye to the greeting I used a simple scrap piece of Very Vanilla and used the coordinating “Detailed Trio Punch” to round off the edges and punch the cute design into the ends.  The punch is bundled with the stamp set so you can save 10% on the purchase.

I finished off the envelope by stamping a cute design from the may patterns in the stamp set.

The last of the cards that I have created was for a West Bend East Graduate… those are our school colors. The greeting comes from the stamp set “High Tide” with the lighthouse.

Did you know that if you purchased the Detailed with Love Bundle, the Delightfully Detailed Note cards and either the cute Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon or the Faceted Dot that coordinate with this product suite you could get the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut paper for FREE! Oh yes, and the paper is Whisper White on one side (featured on the graduation card) and Very Vanilla on the other (featured on the note card).  Amazing and super versatile.

Delicately detailed laser-cut sheets. Vanilla on one side, white on the other side. Can easily be cut apart and used as accents on card fronts.

* 8 sheets: 4 each of 2 designs * 12″ x 12″

Please remember to use the Sale-a-bration number: 152840 for your Delightfully Detailed laser-cut sheets.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and checking in with me. I hope you enjoyed the cards. And please, let me know if you have any questions regarding this product suite. Again, you can find it on pages 38 & 39 of the annual catalog.

Have a wonderful day ~

Doily Magic …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Oh yes … I have been M.I.A (Missing In Action)  I’ve been working double shifts training new employee’s this week however I could not let another day past without sharing a really neat crafting tip with you.  Earlier I announced that Stampin’ Up! has added even more items to the Sale-a-Bration items you can get FREE! More good news … the ribbon is also back!!

One of the items that is now available for SAB are the beautiful Pearlized Doilies … Love these! Even gave them as part of the gift package at last years spring retreat.  This comes from fellow demonstrator Marlieke Smetsers!! Oh my gosh, this is so clever … look at all the different patterns Marlieke created using the Pearlized Doilies!! You could use them to highlight a greeting … as snowflakes … to embellish a part of your card, the possibilities are endless.

I love how you can create amazing designs with just a snip of a scissor or if you’re a stickler for precision … use your circle dies on some areas!  Here is a sample that used the Pearlized Doily ….

Just a quick reminder that Stampin’ Up! has also released coordinating dies that you can purchase for your Sale-a-bration items you got for FREE!

Thank you for stopping by today, I will be back tomorrow with another cute card sample for you.

Please feel free to message me any questions you may have concerning the new items added or the fabulous Sale-a-bration Coordination!

Simply Sunday: Guest Stamper … Jenny F.

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a beautiful card to share with you that was stamped by my friend and stampin’ sister Jenny Feider.  Jenny and I joined Stampin’ Up! the same year and were brought into the Stampin’ Up! family by Vicki Towell.  Congratulations Jenny on 19 years with Stampin’ Up!!

Eileen was also a demonstrator so in the early years before Pinterest and Facebook groups we did a lot of traveling together to meetings, stampin’ events and conventions.  So Jenny’s card was to honor Eileen and Jenny … she would have loved it!! Earthy tones and woodsy was right up her alley.

I love that Mossy Meadow came back into the color pallet … when we first started the colors were grouped into families and Eileens favorite was the Earth Elements collection.  Today’s color pallet is …

One of my favorite and techniques from way back is creating your own backgrounds by stamping color on color … it adds so much depth to the card by just simply stamping.  Jenny’s layers create interest and a true focal point … it’s just beautiful.

Thank you Jenny for the beautiful card. And I would like to thank all my stampin’ friends for the messages, emails, phone calls, beautiful cards, and for joining us yesterday to celebrate Eileen’s life.  I will be sharing more of those cards with you … they are beautiful.

Have a simply blessed day and thank you for joining me today.

Throwback Thursday: Scrapbooking at the Historical Society

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m going to share some photos of a scrapbooking event I did a few years back.  One of the pictures actually showed up on my Facebook page as a memory so I thought I’d share with you all.

The Historical Society supplied the pictures and I supplied the layouts and materials. I was really excited about this… I had so much fun looking up the historical information for the pages! They included a tour of their research area!

It is actually a unique way to scrapbook as it fit more within a “genealogy” style because the information and pictures were historical and not personal … Our first page is “Historic West Bend”

The photos included Main Street, our Theater, the now Historical Society Building which used to be the jail and county building and then our Train Depot … which we all know the train tracks were removed in West Bend.

They wanted a fun way to show people their vast resource (research) center. The Washing County Historical Society does so many fun things to involve the communities and showcase the facility and a friend of mine gave them my name as a scrapbooker.

Although these pictures are of people “I don’t know” … it’s more about the HISTORY, so if you are scrapbooking your genealogy lineage or just going back in time on your scrapbooks for your children, don’t be afraid to include the history, it is really fascinating! I had a blast learning about what the culture was like in the early beginnings of our county and town.

So have fun with your scrapbooks and add a little history … you’ll enjoy discovering some amazing facts.

Have a great day and thank you for going down memory lane with me.

A Friend Chooses You Card …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Brrrrr … It’s a cold one here in Wisconsin, we’re sitting at about 1° Fahrenheit!! Yesterday it was in the 30’s with the wind blowing the melting snow like water.  It’s been a weird winter and I can’t wait for spring!  Spring is warm and full of butterflies and so is my card I have for you today …

I used the Beauty Abounds bundle for today’s card with a spring-like color pallet and our basic black to really make the card pop!!  The designer paper is from the Botanical Butterflies that you can get for FREE in our Sale-a-bration catalog. When you purchase the Beauty Abounds bundle you can pick out the Botanical Butterflies Designer Series paper for free.

I love that the Flamingo has a hint of orange, it gives it such a … well, Flamingo color!  To make it even pop more and to create a beautiful depth in the butterfly, we sponged color on color (Flirty Flamingo on Flirty Flamingo) It is an old technique that is still going strong today … it add so much depth to your projects …

I did the insides of the smaller butterflies and the outer edges of the larger butter, mainly because my greeting was going in the center of the card and would cover the center of the larger butterfly.  I cased they layout of the card directly from the 2019 Occasions Catalog and just tweeked it a bit to reflect my style … the sponging and the beautiful designer paper background.

We also made this card at my February Stamp Clubs. We used the double dies to created the layered look with the Basic Black on top and popped them all up with the Mini Dimensionals.

The greeting “A friend is someone who chooses you …” comes from the Beauty Abounds stamp set and inside it says “out of a whole world of people”. So besides the beautiful butterflies which were a favorite of my Mom’s, the verses in this bundle are outstanding.

Soooo …. pretty!! I know the other butterfly set really took off, but this one is my favorite ❤ the images, the font and the meaning of the verses is what did it for me.

Thank you for joining me on this chilly day, I hope it’s warmers wherever you are!

Have a fabulous day ~

TODAY’S STAMPING SUPPLY LIST …

Simply Sunday: Part of My Story

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a sweet-n-simple card to share with you.  It features the Sale-a-bration items: Part Of My Story stamp set and the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series paper.  When I saw the “Part of My Story” stamp set, I knew I had to have it in my collection. I am a collector of stamp sets that have beautiful verses… so this verse set was a must have.

We all have a story to tell, our journey … the path that we have followed throughout the years, the places we’ve been and most importantly the people we have met. This 19 year journey with Stampin’ Up! has taken me to places I’ve only dreamed of, and has introduced me to so many wonderful people. As many of you know … I started this journey with my sister Eileen, and another pair of sister that we had the honor to get to know was Mary Polcin and Judy Prahl … we go way back. One of the best moments I had at OnStage this year was the “HUG” I got from Mary, it’s like she knew my heart needed it.

When you are building a business and growing your downline, again … it’s all about the relationships.  Eileen was not only my sister, but my downline and best friend.  We built many friendships with the ladies who have joined my Star’s by Design group … wish I could post more pictures because there are so many good memories from Conventions, Star’s Retreats and team meetings ….

Kathy, myself and Eileen at a Convention in Salt Lake City. I believe this was the 25th Anniversary … here are some additional shots

The verse on the card really says it all … “I’m so glad you are part of my story” I wanted to make sure it was highlighted so I stamped it on the Vellum Cardstock and cut it out with the Layering Ovals Framelits … also cut was the Balmy Blue cardstock that went underneath so it really highlighted the greeting without over powering it.

That is exactly the technique or training style I like to use with my downline … highlight their strengths and talents without over shadowing anyone.  We love to celebrate each others accomplishments. Many of my downline members we stamping with me first, some call them customers, I call them friends …

You know I can’t do anything without “YOU” … my stamping friends.  We’ve have had so much fun in the past 19 years (I celebrate my Anniversary on March 10th) and I’m going to be stamping with you for many more.  I’ll be welcoming your companionship more than ever with the loss of my sister, but just like you were there for me the first time, I know your by my side again … Our friendships are precious to me ❤

Eileen … Nancy … Sandy

So many memories, so much fun together, so many friendships created … not just with me but with each other! It’s amazing.  I love this journey that I have been on and the fact that you were there.  I just have to say one … “I’m so glad you are part of my story”

Thank you for stopping by today and for following by blog.

Have a simply wonderful Sunday ~

Our Friendship Butterfly Card …

Hello Stamping Friends ~

I would like to thank the many for your condolences … your kind words are such a comfort. Whether you reached out by messaging me below, on my Facebook page or personally … I cannot begin to express my gratitude all of the support and encouragement ❤ I am blessed. My niece, Eileen’s daughter read through them all and was so touched by everyone’s kindness.  Thank you.

Today I would like to share with you a card that we did at our Stamping Club earlier this month.  We used the Beauty Abounds bundle on page 13 of the Occasions Catalog.  When I saw it … I had to have it. My Mom loved butterflies so every time I see one … I think of her. This way she is always around me.

I must say … this card is much more beautiful in the hand! We used the Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Combo for coloring our flowers and butterfly and then the Olive and Granny Apple Green for a beautiful contrast on our leaves.  The secret to the leaves is to color the dark first. then go over it with the brighter Granny Apple Green.

The beautiful greeting was die cut using the Layering Circle Framelits, and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals … as was the butterfly.  We added just a touch of the Wink of Stella (not visible on the photo) in the center of our flowers and then gently over our butterfly to give it a hint of sparkle but not overpower.  We also added some Rhinestones which were colored with the Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends.

The inside was stamped and colored just as the front with a touch of our Wink of Stella as well.  It is amazing how the touch of Stella can transform a card.  You can see from this angle that not only did we pop up the greeting and butterfly, but the entire front as well.

I had a few more of these to make (for those who missed club) … YES, I make up the samples for my Club participants as long as they have their orders and payment in before class.  I wouldn’t want them to miss out on the amazing cards we do.

Anyway … I love coloring with the Stampin’ Blends; coloring in general, it is relaxing and soothing for the soul. My quiet and reflective time.

Thank you so much for stopping back today, I hope your day is filled with “A Million Little Wonderful Things”.

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Heaven Has a New Angel …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

First, let me say THANK YOU to the sweet souls who return each day to my blog ❤

On Wednesday morning our good Lord took my sister Eileen home, no more pain, no more struggles … she is free.  I am blessed for having such an amazing sweet soul for a sister, and honored to have called her my best friend.  We parted with no words unspoken, no stone left unturned and we enjoyed so may amazing events (birthdays, babies, road trips, travels) and more “together”.

I thank her loving family for allowing me to “steal her away” from them so much!  Sometimes they laughed because we just saw each other and could still spend 3 hours talking on the phone! Those moments can’t be replaced but are stored in my heart until we meet again.

Right now my tears fall like rain, but I know she is still here with me and when I have finished my chores that the Lord has chosen for me, we will be together again.  She’s safe with my Mom and my sister Ruthie and the rest of our loved ones we have missed dearly.

Thank you for patiently waiting, I will be making cards again soon and sharing them with you because that was one thing that we did together and brought us closer than either of us could have imaged ❤ Another of Gods little blessings.

Sharing a piece of my heart …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Just a quick post to let you know about the Sale-A-Bration Second Release …

I’ll be honest, I’m having a hard time keeping up with my blog posts. Yesterday we moved my sister Eileen into Hospice, it’s been a long hard fight.  She fought her cancer even as we lost our Mom only a year ago.  I have no words except that I have been blessed to have such a loving and amazing sister. When it comes to my stamping business … she is the wind beneath my wings.  We did everything together.

Eileen is on left … sisters by birth, best friends by choice ❤ We are on our patio here relaxing a bit on the Mexican Riviera Incentive trip. I’ve never noticed till now that we were “twinning” in our “Pool Party” colored shirts.  I am off of work today so I can sit with her… she was always there for me.

She loved making cards, and we both agree that the catalogs just keep getting better and better.  Here is one of the beautiful new stamp sets in the second release Sale-a-bration catalog …

The All Adorned Photopolymer Stamp Set … it’s perfect for creating backgrounds, focal points and more with these graceful designs. Here is another sample created with the All Adorned stamp set.

Thank you for joining me today and for letting me share a little part of what has kept me a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for almost 19 years.  We have beautiful memories of all the amazing places we’ve gone to, and all the beautiful people we have met.  It’s an wonderful journey and I am so blessed and grateful to have shared this with my sister Eileen.

Have a wonderful day … and call your best friend ❤
