It’s A Boy!!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Yesterday evening while I was cutting my cardstock for my upcoming retreat, I got the phone call … My granddaughter was going to the hospital to have her baby!! So excited, it wasn’t long before then second call to say he has arrived.

Meet Khari  … 7-lbs 2 oz and 18 inches …

I even got to feed him already!! So needless to say … I did not finish my card so I’ll be back tomorrow to share it with you then.  Sometimes life just happens when it’s ready!

Thanks for checking back with me.

Have a wonderful day.

Sweet, Sweet, Baby!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Happy Valentine’s Day!! ❤

Have you noticed there are certain things you can count on always needing cards for: birthdays, thank you, and babies. Today I have the cutest cards created by our Stampin’ Up! offices. The first is Perfectly Paired from the Occasions Catalog … This caught my eye right away because of I a collection of all things Noah’s Ark.  This would make a perfect picture hanging in a child’s room!!

Also perfect for those of you who love to color … break out the Stampin’ Blends because this stamp set is perfect for them.  If you don’t have your blends yet, the watercolor pencils would be quick -n- easy and give you a totally different look.

The cute little gift bag is made with the Little Twinkle stamp set from the big Annual Catalog and coordinates with the Twinkle, Twinkle Designer Series paper!  This is a very versatile stamp set and I have it in my collection … along with the designer paper (I use it for many occasions!).   It also coordinates with the Twinkle Builder punch, Twinkle, Twinkle Cardstock pack and Twinkle Adhesive backed sequins!!

Here are a few more projects the “just twinkle” …

The cute little “Written in the Stars” gift card in the upper left hand corner and the “Love you More than the Star’s” in the lower right hand corner would be perfect for Valentines Day or a birthday.  I think birthdays are the perfect time to say “I Love You” …. heck, that’s everyday!

I wish you a warm and wonderful day today!

Be Happy ~

Welcome Sweet Baby

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a sweet baby card for you featuring the new Twinkle Twinkle bundle on pages 82 and 83 of the 2018-19 Annual Catalog.

This sweet stamp set caught my eye the first time I looked at it, it’s perfect for welcoming a new baby into the family and I think it will work for many other occasions as well (I’ll be sharing some of those with you!)

Now … I have always loved the “quilted” look that you can do with your Simply Score, however, now we have the new “Tufted” embossing folder and it makes this look super simple!!  Just check this out …

I used the beautiful star pattern in (one of my favorite new colors) Soft Seafoam … it is so pretty and delicate and perfect for a new baby ❤ I added the pearls in each of the exposed “tufts” to make this card a “keepsake” card. Will you be using a lot of your pearls … well, 39 to be exact but I don’t forsee anyone making too many of these! 😉

My greeting is from the coordinating stamp set and is cut out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  These are my “go to” dies … I use them all the time!!

Inside you will see …

I incorporated the coordinating “Twinkle Builder” punch that is included in the bundle to dress up the inside of my card and a strip of the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series paper.

You can also see from this angle that I “popped up” my entire front of the designer paper and the greeting… it adds so much dimension yet does not compete with the pretty pearls on the front.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and I would love it if you could leave a message in the comment section or just click the like button … I appreciate that. It helps my blog become more available in search engines … so others can fine me 🙂

Enjoy this beautiful day … I’ll be back tomorrow to show you another way you can use this great bundle.

Thank you ~

New In Colors & Better Together …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Yesterday I shared some sweet -n- simple cards that you can make with the new 2016-18 Stampin’ Up! In Colors and the Floral Affection Embossing Folder (set of 2), so today I thought I would “step it up” and create another set of cards using the other image in that set!

I also decided to feature the cardstock more on this card and use it for the base!

000_3443

Yesterday’s cards were all made without a greeting, so today I have incorporated the “Better Together” stamp set!

I love this stamp set because it not only has your greeting but it has verses for the inside as well! On the card below I used the verse that would normally be on the inside and used it at my “greeting” …

000_3444

000_3442

Then, I took the greeting and stamped it on the inside of my card.  There are no rules in stamping so you can do it however you choose!

Now … have you noticed that I have been changing up the ribbon as well? I used it differently on each of the 5 cards!

000_3447

000_3446

Oh yes … all of these greetings come from the same stamp set (and includes the verse for the inside as well). The Sugarplum is the last of my cards … one in each of the new 5 In Colors and each with their own greeting!!

000_3448

I hope you enjoyed today’s showcase of cards and that it inspires you create. If you are looking for quick -n- easy cards to create that have a clean, pretty style, than today’s and yesterdays cards are for you.

I’d love to hear what “YOU” think about our new In Colors!  Just comment below 🙂

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Have a simply wonderful day!

Showcasing Embossing Folders with beautiful cards …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

So … what did you think about the cards I shared with you yesterday? Did you notice 2 new ones? Yes, I added two, never before seen cards!

Today I’d like to share the details of those cards with you. Let me start with the wedding card …

000_1967

I used the Beautifully Baroque folder on Pool Party card stock. The “doubled” butterfly is done with vellum paper and the new Butterfly Thinlits Dies. The addition of the pearls really makes the butterfly stand out.

The salutation comes from the stamp set “Big News” and was stamped in Pool Party.

The second card was the “Baby” card …

000_1970

This one is done in Pink Pirouette and Basic Gray and showcases the “Zig Zag” folder. The greeting comes from the “Celebrate Baby” stamp set. I love the combination of stamps that allow you to make many different types of baby cards.

I finished off the card by layering the flowers punched from the Boho Blossom punch.

Don’t forget … the folders are ON SALE through Monday, February 2nd. Click on any of the items below for more information.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hope you have a beautiful day ~

Celebrating Baby …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’d like to share another card we made at my Star’s Christmas Party (The Star’s are the lovely ladies that have joined the Stampin’ Up! family under me) It’s a sneak peek into the Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs!

Our base color is Tempting Turquoise … my choice for a gender neutral card. Every now and then you will find expecting parents who still want to be surprised and do not want to know if it’s a boy or a girl!

000_1844

I used the very “fun” Celebrate Today stamp set from the new Occasions catalog … If you are one of my regular customers you should have received yours.. if you didn’t please email me so I can get it sent out to you! (email: lindaluvs2stamp@aol.com)

This is just the cutest stamp set and great for birthdays, babies, graduations and more! I know you ladies will come up with some fantastic ideas of your own too. It’s a “two-step” stamp set!

Now … I am really excited to share with you the coolest designer paper “Irresistibly Yours” Specialty Designer Series paper. The designer paper is white with glossy patterns on them so you can color it! I love, love, love this!!

000_1847

You can sponge it, as we did on this card, you can use your brayer, you can dye it by watercoloring with the Aqua Painters, or spritz it with color … you can even use the “masks” to create an alternate pattern as shown in the Sale-a-bration catalog. Yes … I said Sale-a-bration, which means you can get this awesome designer paper FREE with a qualifying purchase.

000_1844

The new year is right around the corner and so is Sale-a-bration! I can’t wait to stamp with you, and share some fabulous new products with you right here!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Have a super Saturday … it’s the last one this year!

Guest Stampers: Star’s Christmas Party!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Hope you are doing well. I’m great … took the day off yesterday to spend it with my downline to celebrate the Holiday’s, stamp, eat, share ideas and relish the new catalogs!

One of the perks of being a demonstrator is being able to order the new products out of the “Occasions” and “Sale-a-bration” catalogs. I always make sure to order right away so we can look, touch, and play with the new items at the Christmas party.

Today I am going to share two of the cards from the party …. you’ll have to tune in during the week to see more.

First we’ll start with Barb’s card. Oh it just warms you up like a nice spring day … are you ready for spring yet?

000_1776

Barb used the “Everything Eleanor” stamp set for the focal point of her card. The colors are Pistachio Pudding and Wisteria Wonder … how pretty. The greeting comes from the “A Dozen Thoughts” stamp set and was highlighted by using the Large Oval and Scallop Oval punches.

Next we have Kathy’s card … a sweet card for baby!

000_1779

Kathy used the “Something for Baby” and coordinated it with the “Baby’s First” framelits. You can save 15% if you bundle the two of these! She also used “Label Love” for the greeting on the card.

This fun card used several punches to highlight the focal points of the card, and topped off with the heart border punch.

I will have a list of ingredients below for both cards.

Thank you for stopping by today … Have a great one!

Guest Stamper: Jenny F.

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’m sharing a card from my (side-line) stampin’ sister Jenny.  Side-line means that we joined Stampin’ Up! under the same demonstrator … so we’re like sisters!

Jenny’s card welcomes baby with a wonderfully neutral color pallet … which means you can use it for a boy or girl. She paired Pear Pizzazz with Smoky Slate … what a wonderful color combination!  The grays are very “hot” right now.

000_1394

The stamp set used to create this sweet card is the “Something for Baby” which coordinates withe the “Baby’s First” Framelit Dies.  Bundle them and save 15%.

Thanks for stopping by …

Hope your day is a wonderful one!

12 Quick -n- Easy Cards using Designer Series Paper!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I thought I would share a recap of the many cards using the new Designer Series papers!  I thought this would be a great way to finish off the Quick -n- Easy cards series.

Our first three cards are from the “LULLABY” Designer Series Papers …

102_2414

000_1130

102_2436

As you can see, this beautiful paper can be used for many styles of cards … not just baby cards as the name “Lullaby” would imply.  I love the fun playful patterns in the Soft Subtle colors.

My next three cards are from the “PARK LANE” Designer Series Paper…

000_1175

000_1180

000_1187

Don’t you just love these papers!  The rich Blackberry Bliss color teamed up with colors like Old Olive and Soft Suede make these colors perfect for a man or women’s card… and the patterns are there to support it.

My next 2 cards are from the “Back to Black” Designer Series Paper ….

000_1195

000_1241

For me … this is my go to Designer Paper because you can team it up with any colors you want!   The patterns range from floral, to fun, to funky!  It’s great to pick out your pattern and then accessorize it the way you want … like having a little black dress!

The next two cards come from the “SWEET TAFFY” Designer Series paper and from my Quick -n- Easy collection …

000_1224

000_1230

This is definitely a fun designer paper to have around… the colors and patterns are just waiting for you to come out and play!

The next three card samples come from the “MARITIME” Designer Paper …

000_1072

000_1115

000_1154

This is a great designer paper to have in your collection!  Right off the bat you think masculine, guy cards … but you can see this is so much more!  From a playful kids card to yes …  a baby card!

Isn’t it great to see the different styles all together on one page!  I thought it was a great way to showcase the different designer papers in the different designer series packages.     Hope you enjoyed the cards.  I’d love to know which one is your favorite?

I’ll have the links below so you can just click on them and begin shopping.  Don’t forget …

Something for Baby …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I am excited to share with you today, one more card that I have created for my 2014 Catalog Kick-Off party.  This sweet card is done in Crisp Cantaloupe.

It doesn’t matter at what stage we are in our lives, because life goes on and we are blessed with God’s little treasures somewhere in our families or lives… sweet little baby’s.  I fell in love with the new “Something for Baby” the minute I saw it… the nostalgic buggy, the onsie and even the rubber ducky!  You can find it on page 74 of the new catalog.

102_2414

The “Something for Baby” stamp set also has coordinating framelit dies.  You gotta love it when you don’t have to cut the stamped images out manually.  Personally … I like to use that time stamping!

I teamed up this fabulous stamp set with the “Lullaby” Designer Series paper.  If you look closely at the little hearts you will see little stripes.  I added the 1/8″ Silver ribbon to compliment that designer paper, and then added the fun mini brads to the carriage to tie it all together.

I used the “Circle Collections” framelits to cut out the carriage and make it my focal point.

The sweet saying comes from the “Something to Say” stamp set, and the circle punched were used to highlight the greeting.  The card also has a coordinating verse for the inside as well.

102_2418

You will find all the ingredients listed at the bottom of my post to create this card (any many more).  Just click on the photo to view more information on that product or purchase.

Thank you for visiting me today.

Have a wonderful week ~

Welcoming the new …

demomain_catalog_demo_5.30.2104-6.30.2014_US

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today is the first “full” day of the new 2014-15 Stampin’ Up! catalog … how exciting is that!  And what better way to “welcome” something than the new stamp set “Something for Baby”.

You are going to simply fall in love with this cute set and today’s card share ….

000_1115

Sweet and simple is how I’m describing today’s card.   I simply stamped the cute little one’sie in Bermuda Bay (a very nice gender neutral color) and then cut it out with the coordinating framelit “Baby’s First”.

The designer Series paper that I used for the background is “Maritime” … I just loved those little star’s.  Stampin’ Up! does have a very nice designer paper called “Lullaby” also.

I used the Tea Lace Paper Doilies to create a “blankie” for our baby.  I did this by folding it up like a flower and folding the center over, then just adhered it to my designer paper.

000_1119

The bow was created with the new “Thick Bakers Twine” … wow, that is really nice to work with!  Of course I used the Coastal Cabana which coordinates with the rest of my card.

Thank you for joining me today.  I will list the ingredients for this card below… just click on the product for full details or to purchase.

Have a great day ~
