Wonderful Birthday Wishes

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m going to share with you a sweet card to celebrate a friends birthday, and what better way than to send a “Basket of Wishes”. This is the stamp set that creates the focal point of your card.

Let’s begin with the “Pretty Paisley” textured embossing folder … this is your first step in creating this card. I love the way the oval encompasses the greeting and our dragonfly, then brings your eye right to your focal point … the basket of flowers.

The basket and flowers were simply colored with multiple markers … you could watercolor with the Aqua Painters is you wanted a more subtle look.

Our cute little dragonfly comes from the “Touches of Texture” stamp set found on page 141 of the Annual catalog. There are no rules that say you can’t mix and match stamp sets, in fact, Stampin’ Up! designs many of their sets to coordinate and flow with each other … Love it!

Just a quick post today to get you back to your weekend, but I appreciate that you stopped in to check out my blog. Thank you.

Have yourself a wonderful day ~

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLIES …

Are you ready for Fall?

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a quick post with a peek at the Holiday Catalog. With Autumn just around the corner, Stampin’ Up! has given us a wonderful new stamp set that reflects on images of fall.

This pretty card warms your heart with the warm colors of autumn and it’s harvest.

Let’s begin with the core color: Crumb Cake for base and the used to emboss the basket on… then colored using the watercoloring technique.

Our focal point… our basket is matted onto the new Burlap ribbon found in the Annual Catalog and topped off with the Delightful Dijon that you can get from the Holiday Catalog.

I think this is the perfect set for sharing the warm reflections of autumn and friendships.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!
