Hello Stampin’ Friends ~
Yesterday was a beautiful day … Eileen and I did not make it to Door County, she wasn’t feeling she could make it that far so we had a nice drive and had lunch in Port Washington. It was a good day and we will try again after we get an OK from the doctor.
I also shared with you yesterday one of the Attendee Swap cards created by Maria using the Waterfront stamp set. Today I’d like to share two more cards from our swap… we have some very talented guests who come to retreat.
First is a simple yet beautiful card created using the reverse masking technique! My guest stamper is Janet. She used a reverse mask to add color to the card front and then stamped the floral image and greeting.
This technique works magically to highlight the stamped image … and a touch of glitter really makes it pop. Janet shows that a simple card can be beautiful, and we all need cards that look like we spent hours creating but we can get them done quickly.
Our second card comes from a new attendee this year … Guest Stamper: Dawn. A little more layering on this card but the simplicity really creates a beautiful focal point… the balloon.
Dawn used the Up & Away Thinlits dies to cut out the balloon and the clouds – done with glimmer paper. Just a simple stamping of flower really draws your eye to the balloon … simple yet lovely!
I hope you enjoyed these beautiful swap cards as much as the rest of us at retreat did. I’ll be sharing a few more, including the winning card!!
Thank you for hanging out with me today.
Have a wonderful day!
