Throwback Thursday … with “Tag It”

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

With all the social media buzz going on now days, I thought I’d share something fun with you.  No … I’m not posting a “selfie” but I thought it would be fun to do a “Throwback Thursday”.  So today I’m going to share with you some cards that I had made a while back.

I’m actually going to share a “set sampler” with you.  This is a group of cards made from the same stamp set…. today’s set is the “Tag It” stamp set.   Some of these you have seen before, and some will be new to you.  On that note … let’s get on with the sharing!

My first card is a Get Well card that I paired up with the “Quarterfancy Specialty” Designer Paper.  I created it with Daffodil Delight cardstock because I thought it was bright and cheery!  I also used the Polka Dot embossing folder and Daffodil Delight seam binding.

This cute birthday card below, is a fun card for the kid of any age … 9 to 92!  I love all the bold colors by using the brights collection: Pacific Point and Real Red.  I teamed it with the In-Color; Gumball Green (this will be retiring this year!)

The “Tag It” stamp set coordinates with the “Chalk Talk Framelits” found on page 187.  I used the tag framelit to create a focal point for my stamped image.

You will also see the cute little “Candy Dots” … I used them to anchor the red banners.  All mounted on the Pacific Point background that was embossed with the “Fancy Fan” folder.

The “Tag It” stamp set our Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set.  Each year Stampin’ Up! designs a new stamp set to raise funds to help families who have children with serious illnesses.  When you buy the “Tag It” stamp set …. Stampin’ Up! will donated $3 to the RMHC.  It’s the best kind of gift.

My next card is a fun and bright way of saying … Congratulations!  Who wouldn’t want this star spangled beauty to celebrate their accomplishments.  Again I used the Chalk Talk Framelits and Candy Dots.  I did however team up my stars with the stripes embossing folder.

Oh yes, there is more!   Why … because “I DIG YOU”!!   Oh my gosh … I love this card (I love them all) but this one is just a neat way to tell someone you care about them.

I used the “Epic Day This and That” Designer Series Paper.  The earthy colors work so well with our “digging” tool!  LOL    Oh my … it’s just too cute!

101_1397Oops … I forgot to tell you that I used the “Honeycomb” embossing folder and the fabulously fun to use “This and That” Washi Tape.

I have one last card for you… my “Christmas Around the World” card.  OK … I love this one too!

I used the “I Am Me” Designer Series Paper because of this pattern.  I just thought “how can you not use that for a Santa card!”  Right?  Again, I used the Chalk Talk Framelits to cut out Santa.  He was actually stamped twice, once in Gumball Green and the other in Real Red.  The green greeting were cut out and popped up on the tag.

If you don’t already have this stamp set … think about it.  With each set sold – $3.00 goes to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.  To date we have donated over $1,000,000 … because we all care.  Kinda makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card share … this one really touches my heart. I have listed the ingredients for these cards along with the link to view or purchase.

I wish you a warm and wonderful day today.

Greetings Around the World …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

A bit chilly here is Wisconsin this morning, but fall is approaching so we were expecting it.  I love the cool nights and warm days… it makes for great bonfire weather!

Well enough of that, time to move on to my last card in the series of cards I created with the “I Am Me” Designer Series Paper.  I hope you have enjoyed the cards I have shared so far…  I would love to hear your thoughts on them.

Today’s card will take you around the world with a very special fellow … Santa Claus, also known as Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle.

I have teamed up my designer paper with the Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set “Tag It”.  Please note, that with each purchase of the “Tag It” stamp set … $3 will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

* If you click on the RMHC name, it will take you to their website, where you can find out more about this wonderful charity.  Here are the stamps included in the stamp set.

To create the look on the tag, I first stamped the image in Real Red, and cut it out using the “Chalk Talk Framelit Dies which coordinate with the Tag It stamp set.

Next, I stamped the image Wild Wasabi and cut out the area I wanted to highlight.  I then used our Stampin’ Dimensionals to “pop” it up.

I did add a pearl to finish off Santa’s hat … then just add a ribbon, and your done!

I thought this was a fun way to showcase the designer paper with the world map.  I think it was also make a good scrapbook page to those of you who travel… hmmm, there’s an idea!

Again, I would love to hear your thoughts on my series of cards done with the “I Am Me” designer series paper.

To view any of the products highlighted today … just click on the “highlighted” words.

Stop back tomorrow as I will share a bit of my Stampin’ Up! incentive trip to San Diego.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Tag It … wins?

H-E-L-L-O Stampers!

Wow … I had a great time last night!  I want to send a BIG “THANK YOU” out to all my hostesses and customers (aka: Stampin’ Friends) who attended the Appreciation Party last night.

One of the “games” we played at the event was “ Guess Linda’s favorite stamp set” from the sample boards that were there.  The Stamp Set that earned the most votes was “TAG IT”!  I will admit, it is in my top 5, and I love the fact the with each purchase of this set, we help families who’s children are ill and use the Ronald McDonald Houses.  My goal is to sell 100 “Tag it” sets… a donation of $300!  Will you join me?

So today, I am going to share 2 more cards that I made using the “TAG IT” stamp set.  Both of these cards were on the “Tag It – board” that was raffled off at the end of the night.  Winner gets all cards on the board.

The first is the “Get Well Soon” card … so easy; no explanation is needed on the construction of this card.

Next, is the “Celebrate” card … I love the bright, bold colors on this card: Gumball Green, Pacific Point and Real Red.

Since I used the stamp with the little lizard, I wanted to create a “scaley” pattern (is that a word?) for the background.  I did this using the “Fancy Fan” Embossing folder … sideways!  This leaves an un-embossed area on the top and bottom of the background, but I loved the effect.

The tag was created with the “Chalk Talk” Frame-lits.  This is a great set of framelits to have, it not only coordinates with this (Tag It) stamp set, it also coordinates with; Chalk Talk (pg. 12) Notable Notions (pg.98) and Lovely Romance (pg.63) … wow!  And I’m sure that some of you will come up with even more stamp sets you can use this with!

Embellishments were easy on this one, I used the new “Candy Dots” as they coordinate with their color families (makes life so much easier when everything coordinates so nice).

New Stamp Set Parade … Day 7

Hello Stampers …

I’m so grateful to be kickin’ off this brand new week (and July) with you!

This is the last of my new stamp set parade but definitely not the least!  I am honored to introduce you to this years “Ronald McDonald” exclusive stamp set.

Stampin’ Up! has partnered with the Ronald McDonald House Charities in which Stampin’ Up! and demonstrators donate their time and money.  To date, we’ve contributed over $1 Million dollars.

Ronald McDonald House Charities help families who have children with serious illnesses.  We all have a giving heart, join us in making a difference for them.  With each stamp set sold, Stampin’ Up! donates $3 towards RMCH.  Please help me, help them, as I would like to sell 100 sets this year!

Today’s featured stamp set is: TAG IT
