Soft Snowflakes & Blending Brushes …

Yesterday I shared a beautiful card that was quick and easy to create using the beautiful Snowflake Specialty Vellum, today I’m sharing one with the flocked snowflakes and blending brushes.

Here is a close up of the stunning Snowflake Specialty Vellum …. three sheets have iridescent patterns and three are flocked in white.

The flocked paper is so elegant and soft and is beautiful in white, but I wanted to give it a special touch, so I brought out my blending brush and used the soft pastel color; Fresh Freesia.

The blending brush leaves a soft hue of color on the vellum but the flocked snowflakes grab a little more so you get a beautiful two tone effect. This technique will be a favorite for those that enjoy a more “non-traditional” card.

The sentiment for today’s card also uses the Very Best Occasions Stamp Set …. and like I said yesterday, if you do not have this amazing stamp set in your collection, you are going to want to add it to your collection.

The Very Best Occasions Stamp set is part of a bundle which includes the Very Best Trio punch. That is what gave my greeting the cute edges you see … with a quick push of the punch. To complete my card I added the Silver Metallic Edge ribbon. Imagine creating these pretty cards in any of your favorite colors … oh yes!

Today I have a quick & easy and very pretty Christmas card that will add a Little More Sparkle and Shine into the lives of your friends and family when they receive this handmade card from you this holiday season.

Endlessly Grateful Rustic Harvest

Are you ready for some more Rustic Harvest Designer paper? I had so much fun playing with this paper this weekend. It gets me thinking of my favorite season – Autumn. I pictures those warm days (not hot) and cool nights with a campfire and some smore’s … let’s not forget everything Pumpkin Spice! lol

Speaking of pumpkin, I pulled out the Pumpkin Pie for this card, along with Cajun Craze and my Blending Brushes to color this once black and white designer paper. Once you’ve colored your paper, you can layer it over your Basic White mat. Then secure it to your card front.

That pretty little pumpkin was fussy cut from the same Rustic Harvest paper … just another pattern. It’s elegance in white is why I chose a white mat for may card, I just think it ties everything together nicely.

The “Endless Grateful” sentiment comes from the Very Best Occasions stamp set in the Mini Catalog, and was die cut using the Scallop Contours Dies.

The pumpkin and the greeting are both popped up using dimensionals. I love the simplicity of and beauty of this card … the blending brushes apply to color so smooth and easily and really turn this black and white paper into an autumn wonderland.

Welcome July … Welcome NEW Catalogs!

The day we have been waiting for is here!! The New July-Dec Mini and the Sale-a-bration Catalogs go LIVE today!! I’m so excited … I also have a sweet card to share with you today! It’s made with the NEW Very Best Occasions Stamp Set … You all know I love my sentiments, and this one was created so you can use them on the front or the inside of your card … LOVE it!!

You’ll find the Very Best Occasions Stamp Set in the New MINI Catalog on page 68.

Can you believe another Sale-a-bration … I love that we now have two of them, if you’re like me … it’s a bit more cost effective, PLUS we get more choices and I hope you’ve been lookin’ it over. There is such a great diversity of stamps and paper … something for everyone.

OK, let’s get to today’s card …. Our base is Basic White and is layered with 2 patterns from the beautiful new Splendid Day Specialty Designer paper. The beautiful die cut piece comes from the Artistic Dies.

The greeting from our Very Best Occasions stamp set is stamped in Soft Suede onto So Saffron card stock … and before we attach it with dimensionals, we are going to add some of the green ribbon from the Real Red & Garden Green Combo Pack. The card is finished off by embellishing it with those cute little Brass Butterflies!
