Shine Like a Diamond / Guest Stamper: Peggy K.

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Well … Well … Well … Made it through Monday!! Hope you had a good day and your Tuesday will be even better!  Today I have another card share from our Stamping Retreat Attendee Swap. This swap was created by Peggy K.

This pretty floral card stands out in black and white with a pop of pink, and the Strong & Beautiful Stamp Set is the focal point to the card.  This is one of my favorite verses stamp set, especially when you are creating cards for friends.

Peggy also uses the Country Floral Embossing folder to create a subtle background with a touch of texture.  This folder was highlighted in the Sale-a-bration catalog but it will however be included in the upcoming 2019 – 2020 Annual Catalog!  Wooo Hooo! That does not happen too often, but I’m glad it is returning because it’s a great addition and it’s beautiful.

I appreciate you coming back to see what I’m up to!! Stop back tomorrow and I’ll have something special to share.

Till then … Have a great day!

My Favorite Sale-a-bration item … By the Bay

Hello Stampin’ Friend ~

There are only a couple of days left to our Sale-a-bration event (ends March 31st). So I wanted to share all the goodies that are still available along with my favorite and some samples that I created using this … yes, it’s a stamp set.  By the Bay to be exact…

This card has been on fire on Pinterest (Thank You) and it is so simple to make.  All done in Night of Navy it makes a nice masculine card that would be great for Birthdays, Fathers Day or … Thinking of you.

My second of the three cards was the reason I picked this stamp set from the beginning, I thought it would go perfectly with my HIgh Tide stamp set.  I love lighthouses and this house looks like a beautiful lighthouse “house” to me …

On this card I used both the Aqua Painters and my Stampin’ Blends to color, and the lighthouse was stamped in front of the house.  However, that was not the picture in my head, so I came up with my third design …

There we go … This is what I had pictured in my head!! I wanted the lighthouse behind my cottage by the bay, so I used the masking technique.  You can find the entire blog post for this card HERE. It will take you step by step how I made this card.

There is something about lighthouses that warm my heart … maybe it’s the light that shines bright to bring the sailors into the shores safely… and there was something about this stamp set that spoke to me and said these two stamp sets needed to be together.

Thanks for hanging out with me for a while today, enjoy your day!

Friends and Butterflies …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I did not get my “alternative” project finished yet, however I do have a super cute card that we made at Cindy and Sarah’s stamping party (one of the Make -n- Takes. It’s super simple and perfect for your friend.  I’m using the Beauty Abounds stamp set and nothing says spring like “butterflies”

I stamped the background with the “Bokeh” dots … it just creates another layer of dimension. The focal point of the card is the beautiful butterfly designer paper that you can get for FREE during Sala-a-bration with a qualifying purchase.  So … how did I get that sparkle on there?  Good Question!!

There are two ways to do this technique which I call the Glimmer Designer Paper Technique and it’s one of my favorites because it creates such a “WOW” whenever I show it.

  1.  Grab your Silicone pad … you’ll want it for both ways. Place your designer paper onto the silicone pad and with your Snail adhesive – cover the entire piece of designer paper. Next, sprinkle with the Dazzling Diamonds glitter, tap off excess and gently rub it into the adhesive using your finger tip. Tap off excess again.
  2. The second way to do it is just switching adhesives, the rest is the same.  If you are covering a larger piece of designer paper, you will want to use the Multipurpose adhesive sheets. This is also super simple.  Peel off the first layer, lay your designer paper onto the adhesive sheet … then peel off the top layer and add glitter as in step one.

Besides the beautiful butterflies in this stamp set, the verbiage is perfect for sharing a card with your friend.  I added a little ribbon to the card and some rhinestones to jazz it up a bit.

And to create another layer of dimension … I added a piece of vellum behind the focal point of the card.  Hope you enjoyed this technique and you give it a try … it’s simple, it’s fun and it looks amazing!!

Thank you for taking time out of your day and share it with me by stopping by my blog.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

They add great texture and background, but you can also do amazing techniques with them too! Use the sponge brayer and some white craft ink to get a vintage look, or use our fast-drying blends to color the flower images.

Mini Pizza Boxes … All Decked Out!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Hope you are doing well.  It’s finally warming up here but it’s coming with rain … however, I’ll take the rain over the blizzard conditions to the west of us!! Stay warm my friends!

Today I’d like to share another Sale-a-bration item … The Mini Pizza Box and the many different ways it can be decked out (and stuffed) Did you know two good sized cookies fit in there!!

First lets team up the Pizza Box with another Sale-a-Bration item, the “Home to Roost” stamp set.  How cute are these two items together.

Next … I would like to share one of my mantle gifts from a past Stamping Retreat.  I turned the pizza box into a “gift box”… and I embossed the top flap!! Did you know that you can use your folders to emboss the cover of the pizza box.  I decked it out with a silver glitter bow on top and rhinestones on the front … they were so pretty!

A project that our attendees made were these festively decorated pizza boxes with three gift tags tucked inside.  These also made a cute little gift, whether they wanted to share them or keep the gift box with tags for themselves … we had a blast making them and they were pretty easy to make.

Let’s move away from Christmas and head over to a birthday celebration … this cute box is surely filled with lots of happy surprises and birthday wishes.  The pizza box is paired up with the “Postcard Pals” stamp set, and I know of few of my grandchildren who would love to get this for their birthday ….

If you don’t have little kids or grandchildren to deck out one of the pizza boxes … why not try the “One Wild Ride” stamp set with it.  What a fabulous way to deck out a gift card, certificate or hey … cash!!

I hope you enjoyed the five fun ways to decorate your pizza boxes … they’re so cute I wonder if they’ll even care what’s inside!  With just a $50 order, you can add these to your goodies for FREE.  Or … if you have more supplies you need to stock up on, you can add that handsome Rooster as well.

Thank you so much for spending part of your Wednesday with me …

Have yourself and awesome day.

It’s just Meant to Be …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a parade of cards for you that were created with the “Meant to Be” Bundle …   We will begin simply with ink, paper and stamps.  This is how most of us began our stamping adventures.

Our next card showcases the technique of stamping your own background.  A touch of foil paper to make the card pop and you’ve got another cute card…

Now it’s time to add a bit of designer paper to your stamps and ink, and who said hearts were only for Valentine’s … Why heck, just think marriage, anniversary, new baby, and friendship …

Let’s step it up just a bit more and add some beautiful designer vellum and some heart dies (and flowers) to add a touch of class to your card. This card is so simple when you pull out your BigShot and dies … quick -n- beautiful.

Let’s have some fun now … since we’re using the BigShot, let’s pull out the Gingham paper and use those hearts to say I love you …

Wow … now we have the BigShot out, then we’ll add some cute designer paper and we’ll add edgelits and while we’re at it, I’m going to grab the triple banner punch, because banners are hot right now!! Oh yes, and it’s a cute way to add a greeting!

Oh now we’re really having FUN … we’ve got the stamps, the ink, the paper … and designer paper, and FOIL and our dies.  Well, why not run one of those die cut hearts through the BigShot and emboss it with one of our pretty embossing folders.  If you have it in your supplies … why not use it!!

WOW … and why create only cards? Make a cute little gift box using the Window Box thinlits, the hearts and some stamping.

Delightfully Detailed Parade of Cards …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a couple of my favorite cards I created using the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut paper that is now available as a Sale-a-bration FREEBIE!!  Saturday I shared my Pool Party card with you ….

And today I have two more for you!!  This little lace beauty begins with the Delightfully Detailed Note cards (All can be found on pages 38 and 39 of the annual catalog). These note cards already have the “water wash” background so all the work is done for you! This one is the newly returned Blackberry Bliss color.

The beautiful greeting comes from the “Detailed with Love” stamp set, stamped in Blackberry Bliss and to draw your eye to the greeting I used a simple scrap piece of Very Vanilla and used the coordinating “Detailed Trio Punch” to round off the edges and punch the cute design into the ends.  The punch is bundled with the stamp set so you can save 10% on the purchase.

I finished off the envelope by stamping a cute design from the may patterns in the stamp set.

The last of the cards that I have created was for a West Bend East Graduate… those are our school colors. The greeting comes from the stamp set “High Tide” with the lighthouse.

Did you know that if you purchased the Detailed with Love Bundle, the Delightfully Detailed Note cards and either the cute Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon or the Faceted Dot that coordinate with this product suite you could get the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut paper for FREE! Oh yes, and the paper is Whisper White on one side (featured on the graduation card) and Very Vanilla on the other (featured on the note card).  Amazing and super versatile.

Delicately detailed laser-cut sheets. Vanilla on one side, white on the other side. Can easily be cut apart and used as accents on card fronts.

* 8 sheets: 4 each of 2 designs * 12″ x 12″
