First, let me say Thank You for all the Congratulations on the Baby, that sweet little boy generated more buzz than most of my cards!! lol But that is truly what life is all about (and who we make our cards for) is our family and friends. ❤
Today I’d like to share with you a Mother’s Day card I created using the items in the April 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit. I love these kits, first, because they come in my mailbox (better than bills – lol), they are easy to use, they introduce us to new products, like this months Destinktive stamps, and because everything coordinates with our current product line so it’s a breeze to make alternative projects from the kits if we choose!
Distinktive stamps are the latest innovation here at Stampin’ Up!, and the Paper Pumpkin team loves them so much that we decided to give you two of these very special stamps in our April kit. Distinktive stamps give you photorealistic-style images in one stamp, and as you can see, the result is stunning.
Everything you see on my card was included in the kit except the Wink of Stella. The card base, the colored background, and the rose are all pre-done for you. There is a beautiful rose in the stamp set included in the kit (that is another thing I like about Paper Pumpkin – an exclusive stamp set each month that you can keep using once your consumables in the kit are all gone) I just used the greeting today.
So the only stamping I did was my greeting, everything else was ready for me to assemble the card… and a little hint of Stella on the rose and gently over Mother.
Someone asked me why the little Angel was in my photo’s … she was a gift I bought my sister Eileen while she was battling her cancer, and Eileen was the wind beneath my wings as my stamping side kick … we did it all together. ❤ Now her and Mom are together along with my other sister Ruthie, and they all watch us.
I have to chuckle … Eileen is the one who got us in to Genealogy, and now she knows all the answers the rest of us are still looking for!
I hope you enjoyed todays card, I may share more with this gorgeous stamp set, but I just got my pre-order from the new catalog and I can’t wait to share some of this with you!!
Today I’d like to share with you a video showcasing the Sentimental Rose kit. The Sentimental Rose kit makes 9 cards and envelopes and includes 1 acetate box. Watch the video to get started making these distinctly beautiful cards—which are perfect for springtime stamping.

Woo Hooo … I had fun creating these projects last night, if fact, I have 3 to share with you today. Yesterday I shared the January Paper Pumpkin video, so today I wanted to share with you my alternative projects.
Lets begin with the Paper Pumpkin itself … this cute little pillow box was fun to make and fun to stuff with candy!!
Didn’t really change anything on this little project except that I stamped the hearts on the circle background. The hearts come in the stamp set (there are a lot of cute stamps in this set!).
My next project is an Alternative to the kit … LOL, it’s actually a mistake!! I was watching TV and not reading the instructions a glued two of the pillow boxes together. So as I tell my stampin’ friends … “there are not mistakes in stamping, just opportunities to embellish”. So here is what I came up with ….
I remembered those circle fold cards, so I scored my boxes above the “pre-scored” line, then cut them down to sides so I could fold the flaps in … it worked beautifully. I had to decorate my box with those cute little Chameleons. The heart in the background and the pretty heart embellishments all come with the kit, as does my greeting.
I finished off this sweet little package of treats with the Dotted Swiss Ribbon … I just love the way this little boo-boo turned out!! That brings me to the card that I made. My blog followers may recognized this layout …
I told you that I loved those little chameleons, I just had to use them again … mainly because I wanted to use the greeting “You’re One-In-A Chameleon” … lol. Again, the heart embellishments are from the kit but the large heart (although there is one in the kit) I used the “All My Love” Designer Series paper and the “Be Mine” Stitched Framelit to cut it out.
The “I” comes from the “Large Numbers” framelits and the “YOU” is from the “Celebrate You” Thinlets which were FREE during Sale-a-bration last year! This year I’m using the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack.
Hope you enjoyed todays card and projects. When you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin, don’t be afraid to use it with other stamp set and accessories you already have. This one coordinates with the “Animal Outing” stamp set.
Thank you for dropping in on me today. Have a great day … and I hope it’s triple the fun!!

Today I have my alternative Paper Pumpkin project to share with you … I may have gotten a bit carried away with the spooky side of things – lol
So I took the tags and cut them down to turn them into headstones and created a graveyard! The cute little ghost and the bat along with the greetings were all included in the Paper Pumpkin kit …
Since I sponged my background, I added a little sponging on my gravestones to age them a bit. Not included in the kit was the moon which I just punched with the 1-1/2″ Circle punch. Oh yes … and I had to add a few orbs in the grave yard … the cute little Glitter Dots really did the trick.
Hope you enjoyed taking a haunted hike with me today through my spooooky graveyard, thanks for joining me.
Nothing is scarier than being without cute treat packaging for Halloween! So we put a lot of thought into brewing up our Frights & Delights September 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit—just for you.
Watch this month’s unboxing video here to find out how to make this creepy kit. It’s not too scary . . . we promise.
And yes … I have my “Take Your Pick” Tool 🙂

Take Your pick tool is just too cool … and that Paper Pumpkin is too stinkin’ cute! As a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you can purchase additional kits or past kits.

I hope you enjoyed a wonderful weekend. The heat and humidity keeps me inside which was just fine with me, I have an entire box of goodies to discover from the Holiday catalog and my Catalog Launch party coming up in a week. So … I’m starting with Halloween and working my way to Christmas. I hope you can join us because this is going to be a big one!!
I also hope you got a chance to visit my blog yesterday and check out the video. The video showed you our August 2018 Paper Pumpkin and the beautiful watercolor card fronts and stamp set. On that note … Today I’m going to share three alternative projects from this card kit.
My first card I kept very simple yet I wanted to bring out the beautiful colors in the card by using the Blackberry Bliss for my base and Old Olive to mat the watercolored design ….
It was such a simple way to revise the card. I stamped the greeting onto the piece of the card I cut off and cut it out with the smallest oval in the Stitched Shapes Framelits and attached it with the Stampin’ Dimensionals which are included in the kit! To finish the card, I used the Wink of Stella to highlight the butterfly on this card … my Mom loved butterflies.
For my second card I wanted to use and highlight the touching and tender verse that was included with the stamp set. Just loosing my Mom this January, the verse brought tears to my eyes … it shows such gentleness and concern for those suffering such a loss.
To highlight this verse:The Loss is immeasurable, but so is the love left behind I used one of the dies from the Stitched Seasons Framelits Dies from the Color Your Season promotion going on now. The verse was stamped onto the back of the card that I cut off and then I placed some of the greenery around it to frame it and give it some beautiful dimension. Next I attached the floral frame using Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered the entire front to the Blackberry Bliss back. I did stamp flowers (from the stamp set inside).
The third card was used because I wanted to use the die cut piece from the second card …
I love that the piece that was cut out also has the stitching (these amazing dies do a double stitch!) and that it lined up perfectly with the front!! I tucked some of the greenery behind it again and added the twine to it … all included in the kit! Simple yet elegant. This Paper Pumpkin kit is one of my favorites … so beautiful and easy to make alternative (but not necessary!)
I would love to know what you think about these card and / or Paper Pumpkin or just click on the like button below so I know you are enjoying my posts. I will be back tomorrow with my Technique Tuesday post … and a technique that was requested by one of you!
