FLASHBACK FRIDAY: Many Hearts …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Every now and then I like to go back at look at things we have done in the past … a flashback.  Today I’m sharing samples from our “Meant to Be” stamp set in preparation for Valentines Day. However, don’t let hearts just be for one day of the year … we should share our hearts and kindness everyday. We need a kinder world.

Today I am going to review the many cards, and you’ll be “amazed” at all of the different styles of cards and projects you can create with the “Meant to Be” stamp set and “Stitched Be Mine” dies.  If you did not get this bundle last spring when it was available, you can still purchase the two separately and you qualify for a FREE Sale-a-Bration item!!

I start with the very basic of cards … Stamp, Paper and Ink!  Super simple, great for our new stampers.

Simply stamped in Lovely Lipstick ink on Whisper White cardstock.  My next card is also simple but very pretty …

This cards adds a little more dimension when we simply add layers.  Our greeting is backed with the Lovely Lipstick Foil paper which is found in the Sale-a-Bration catalog and can be yours with this bundle or a $50 purchase.

The next card introduces the BigShot and the coordinating “Stitched Be Mine” dies …

This card is also very easy to make … remember this designer paper is no longer available but the “From the Heart” Specialty Designer paper is a winner this year!

The cute little white hearts are cut from the dies included in the bundle.  Many of the dies in this set include the stitched look and the scallops edges.

The next card uses the same little white hearts … and they are stamped in Flirty Flamingo…

The cute scalloped edge on the bottom is yet another die from the coordinating die set in this bundle.  I did introduce the new Stitched Rectangle dies … these are located in our Annual Catalog.  You could easily change the greeting on this card to Welcome a Baby, a Sweet Sixteen or a birthday card … possibilities are endless.

If you’re looking for treat boxes for your children’s upcoming Valentines party or a cute little gift for a neighbor or co-worker, here are some great ideas …

My next card features more of the dies, the one I’m using here actually cuts 2 hearts with one roll of your die cutting machine …

This card was done with the Grapefruit Grove foil paper is highlighted and actually comes in the same package as the Lovely Lipstick … that were Sale-a-bration items “LAST YEAR” so it you stashed it … pull it out now and start creating!!

This card uses the largest of the heart dies and the beautiful little flower die that is also included in the die set.

So many different styles … and from simple beginnings for our newest stampers to lots of beautiful layers and the BigShot.  Don’t forget all the amazing projects and treat boxes you can also make.

Simply Sunday: Love You Lots

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m going to share one of the cards that we made in our January Stamp Club using the Heartfelt Bundle.  I will tell you it’s not the best photo (I took it sitting on my couch) but I love the card … it is cased from fellow demonstrator Mary Fish.

The Heartfelt Bundle includes the Heartfelt Stamp Set and the Heart Punch Pack. Use the hearts and arrows in the Heartfelt Stamp Set to create treat tags, boxes, and cards for Valentine’s Day. The greetings are designed to convey love and friendship.

Use the Heart Punch Pack to create a paper heart and a scallop paper heart. Use punched images separately or layer for beautiful coordination. I wanted to show that the beautiful designer paper was created to be “punched” out if you choose. I teamed it up with another pattern from the designer paper.

We punched out the “designer” heart and backed it with a Flirty Flamingo heart punched from the scallop Heart punch included in the bundle.

The playful heart patterns in the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper have red and pink foil accents on some designs. Some images from the paper can be cut out using the Heart Punch Pack. This paper is excellent for valentines, cards, and scrapbook pages.

You’ll get 12 sheets of patterned paper: 2 each of 6 double-sided designs.  It is Acid free and Lignin free! The designer paper colors include: Flirty Flamingo, Real Red, Whisper White … we found making our cards that if you stamp off the Flirty Flamingo, you will get that pretty pink that coordinates with the paper!

Oh I can’t wait to get back into my studio and start stamping!! Do you know how hard it is to have off work and not be able to get in your stamp room … I’m going crazy! lol

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Well … I did it this time!  On Tuesday night I had a meeting at work and we decided to walk to the meeting place and back, just about the time I got back to my car, my knee gave out. Woooh … haven’t felt that much pain since I herniated the disc in my back!

I actually went to the doctor and he put me on bed rest (which means I can’t get into my stamping room!!) and steroids. He believes it’s arthritis and that I had a flair up.  So … please be patient with me while I work through this. I’m going to do my best to keep you informed through my posts.

How “Suite” are Peaceful Poppies …

Simply Sunday: Peaceful Poppies

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Hope you are enjoying your weekend and you have set aside some “peaceful” time for yourself. Yesterday I shared a card using the Peaceful Poppies bundle.  Today, I will be sharing a few cards that will show how easy it is to create with our Peaceful Poppies Designer Series paper.

First, let me share a quick video revealing all the beautiful paper designs …

Stunning, don’t you agree!?  The patterns are so pretty it was hard to pick just 2 for today’s cards. Let me start with the most obvious … the tall water colored poppies.  This one seems to be everyone’s favorite and it’s easy to see why …..

The color combination that I used is one of my favorite; Old Olive and Blackberry Bliss.  These two colors compliment each other so well and they really make the designer paper shine in all it’s glory. A simple  greeting is all you need, and I used the Peaceful Moments Stamp set from the Peaceful Poppies suite and punched with the Timeless Label Punch.

The next pattern is one of my favorites … the field of poppies. Poppies were always a favorite flower of mine, even as a child … my mom had them in the garden, the color is so bold and beautiful.

The poppy also commemorates the sacrifice of so many men and women who have given their lives fighting for their country.  Fitting that I used “sympathy” on this card, but it would be just as pretty as a birthday card.

The Pretty Label punch was used to punch out the sentiment, then I popped on a couple Peaceful Poppies Sequins to anchor the greeting.

Simple, simple cards … all you need is some beautiful designer paper and a couple of punches, that’s all it takes to create these pretty cards.

Guest Stamper: Brenda M … Painted Poppies

The weekend has begun and I am in my craft room preparing some classes, cards for club and planning my upcoming retreat. Today I have a card to share with you that was made for our Stars team meeting swap by Brenda Morateck … one of my team members.

Brenda used the NEW Painted Poppies bundle. The Painted Poppies Stamp Set is inspired by a field of poppies and features beautiful line-art images you can fill in with your choice of coloring techniques.

Brenda did a color on color technique by stamping the poppy image in Poppy Parade ink onto Poppy Parade cardstock… then brought some color by stamping a background of Poppy Parade and Crushed Curry and then stamping the field of poppies across the top of it.

So pretty in it’s simplicity … So much more can be done when you add the coordinating dies. Create labels, tags, gorgeous poppies and leaves, a swirly frame, and more for handmade cards, tags, and other fun paper crafts using the Painted Labels Dies.
