It’s here … that last day we can order from the Holiday catalog! It’s a sad day to see some of our favorites leaving us, so if there is something you just have to have, let’s do it today…. or it won’t be there tomorrow.

What was your favorite? I know … there are too many to name but I will share one of my fav’s. Oh you knew it would be one of the Halloween sets.  Actually .. it’s an entire suite! MONSTER BASH … I just love it!! There are so many fun projects and cards you can make with this one, and here are a few …

Let’s start with the fun little Coffin Boxes …

Coffin Treat Box 150451

My grandkids got a thrill out of these little treat boxes. What a cute way to stash a treat!

We even used the Monster Bash Designer paper with the Mini Curvy Keepsake boxes to create more little treat giving projects! Fun little gifts to give the kiddo’s for place on your co-workers desk…

I must say that I love the glitz and beautiful holiday bundles they had this year, so many to choose from. One of my favorite stamp sets that is leaving for good is one that was on my “Must Have” list. Here are a few that I created with the GOD’S PEACE Stamp set …

Thanks for taking the time to check out my favorites today. Please let me know if I can help you pick up your favorites before they are gone for good.

Have a great day, I’ll see you tomorrow with a great card I created with another of my fav’s… this one from the NEW Jan-June 2020 Holiday Catalog.

Guest Stamper: Debi K. Sneak Peek!!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

And a Happy New Year to you and your family!! I hope your 2020 is amazing beyond expectations… healthy and happy.

Today I have a cute card to share that was made by one of my Star’s team members, Debi Krebsbach for our Star’s Christmas Party swap.  I was so excited to see all the swaps, and I will share those with you as well … this one however, I do not have the stamp set (yet) and I love it!!  It’s the new “Music From the Heart” stamp set found on page 57 of your 2020 Jan-June Mini Catalog.

Debi spritzed her background with alcohol and a few drops of Balmy Blue ink refill in the Stampin’ Spritzer.  Once she stamped her staff on her spritzed cardstock … she “tore” the cardstock to the desired shape. I love it … tearing is an old technique you don’t always see anymore, because we are pretty much caught up in all the fun “die cutting”.

She then stamped her “Clef Note” … whew, I remember that from grade school!! And fussy cut it out.

Love this stamp set and I thank Debi for sharing it with all of us.

Thank you for joining me this New Years Day!

See you tomorrow ~

New Mini Catalog Sneak Peek: So Sentimental Bundle

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Oh my gosh … this is the last time I’ll be posting this year! We have come to the end … but not to worry, I have plenty to share with you in 2020, including some great classes, events, retreats, more cards & projects and some amazing specials!!

Today I’m sharing a card I’ve created with a leftover piece from the Kerchief Card Kit I showed you yesterday.  I just flipped over one of their pre-stamped greetings, which made it the prefect time to introduce  you to the So Sentimental Bundle that will be available January 3rd, 2020 in the Jan-June Mini Catalog (I’ll call it our Spring Mini or just the Mini Catalog).

I have an obsession with “Sentiment” stamp sets … you can never have to many right!? And this is a good one, and to make it even better, Stampin’ Up! paired it with the Stitched so Sweetly Dies. These dies pair nicely with the stamp set but can be used on any card or project your working on … this is what I call “the best value bundle” … both stamps and dies can be used on anything for everything!

I thought you would also love a peek at another Sale-a-bration FREE Item!!  This beautiful designer series paper “Lily Impressions” has impressionistic images with rich colors that create an elegant background … PERFECT for my “sentimental” stamp set!!

I used Grapefruit Grove cardstock and ribbon to highlight the touch of Grapefruit Grove in the designer paper.  I created this combination because if you purchase the “So Sentimental” Bundle and the Grapefruit Grove ribbon … you will get the beautiful “Lily Impressions” Designer Series Paper for FREE.  You will also receive a Virtual Rewards Point too!  I will be sharing more with you from this amazing trio in the future.

Thanks for hanging out with me on the last day of the year, it’s been a pleasure.  I’ll be back tomorrow with another “peek” into the catalog.

Happy New Year!!

Items shown in today’s blog post will be available for purchase January 3rd, 2020 …

Sale-a-bration Kerchief Card Kit & Alternatives!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you had a wonderful weekend … it was the last one of 2019!!  Wow … we are now heading into a new month, a new year, a new decade … and a new Mini & Sale-a-bration Catalog!! This amazing new year will also bring about my 20th Anniversary with Stampin’ Up!, but more about that later!

Today I’m going to share with you the second of the two cute cards from the Kerchief Card Kit … then I’m going to share an alternative to each of the pre-designed cards!  This will give you the option to change them up if you desire, or come up with your own design… if you do, I’d love to see it!!

Let’s begin ….

This is the card as designed in the card kit. Simple to assemble, the vellum is pre-cut as is the gold foliage. The greetings are pre-stamped so all you have to do is assemble!

Now for my alternative …

I switched out the greeting and used the gold polka dotted vellum from the other card for my alternative card.  I also switched out the greeting.  Another change I made was to talk one of the greeting in a foreign language, flip it upside down and use it to make the gold vellum pop behind my floral assembly.

My last change up was to create a layering of the twine instead of making the bow … I think this adds a lot of texture and just gives a cool effect for a card kit with “kerchief” for a name … right!

Now let me remind you of the card I shared yesterday …

This was made per instructions in the card kit. Cute … Simple … easy to make, you have to love that!

Here is my alternative project for this card …

On this alternative card, you can see that I have changed the orientation along with the greeting. I kept the blue oval and the flower and layered my gold foliage around it. Still cute … still simple … easy to make, just a little bit of a different look.

I was just having some fun with my kit … that is what they are for, and then to send them and make someone else happy of course!

Hope you enjoyed.  Tomorrow I will be back with another card that will use a left over piece from this kit, and introduce you to an amazing bundle in the new January-June Mini Catalog.

Thank you for joining me today, and I will see you back here tomorrow.

Sale-a-bration Sneak Peek

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Sorry for the lateness of my post … It will be short but sweet!!  Today I have a sneak peek into the upcoming Sale-a-bration catalog. This little beauty is just one of two designs in a card kit that you can get for FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration. YES, it’s that time of year …

I’m so excited that within a few more days we will be kicking off the new January – June Mini Catalog. It has a new layout with bigger and more samples than ever before, and the Sale-a-bration catalog is always full of great items we can all earn for free.

All of the items used to make this card are included in the Kerchief Card Kit (Item #152319) including the glue dots and dimensionals.  The greetings are pre-stamped so all you have to do is put these together!

Stop back tomorrow and I’ll show you the second card and a alternative way to make them!! I know you’ll fall in love with the Kerchief Card kit as much as I did.

Thanks for checking back and I’ll see you tomorrow!

My Alternatives for Something for Everything

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

How is your holiday season going? Are you back to work … taking time off, or is life back to normal? I’m kind of caught in the middle, I’ve been back to work but I’m still not sure what day it is!! lol

Today I’d like to share three alternative projects to the December’s “Something for Everything” Paper Pumpkin kit. I am loving the 13 sentiments are included in this kit, and the backgrounds are so neutral that you are able to use any of the 13!!

Here are the cards as done per the instructions …

Since you had to wait an extra day for my sample … I’ve decided to share all three of them with you today. My first card used the base “as is” however I took the olive circle from the second card to pop my sentiment … then I added the cute flowers (these are all die cut adhesive… so it’s easy to assemble)

I also used the gold foliage from the third card (as shown above). The last step was adding the Rhinestones to my flowers and around the card.

The second card, which is the floral base … I used the hexagon shape from the third card, the gold foliage from the second, and the big flowers from the first card to create my bouquet. To really make it pop… I added a Terracotta Tile mat behind it.

Then I added my banner, stamped my sentiment in the Terracotta, and added a few of those cute little flowers!

My last card I did a bit of cutting … first, I cut the card base in half because the front have the patterns and backs of all the cards have a solid color. Once cut in half, I trimmed down the solid piece to 4″ x 5-1/4″ … then I centered my gold adhesive embellishment onto the solid piece and stuck it down.

Then I cut the image out, leaving a nice base. This technique is something I always taught my scrapbookers … paper saving! I also share it with my card makers, no need to waste good cardstock.  The patterned piece was cut to 3-3/4″ x 5″ so you could see the solid piece underneath, creating beautiful layers.

I kept this card front a bit on the simple side, but it’s pretty!

Once all my layers were done, I stamped my sentiment onto the gold edge banner … it’s actually the Terracotta Tile ink, but it is stamped off to make it a bit lighter to compliment the flowers.  I added three of them, popping the upper right-hand one up and then adding the bling to them. Sweet -n- simple.

Watch as Santa works with our Night Before Christmas Suite to complete all of his projects. With a memories and more card pack, note cards and envelopes, and more…

Here is one of the cards that I created with the Night Before Christmas Memories & More …

Did you know…

… that yesterday was the Christmas Poem Day? The poem A Visit from St. Nicholas by Clement C. Moore (‘Twas the night before Christmas…) was published in 1823. The poem, which has been called “arguably the best-known verses ever written by an American,” is largely responsible for some of the conceptions of Santa Claus from the mid-nineteenth century to today.

I would like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas, and thank you for being part of my stamping circle. Life is so much better when your surrounded by friends.

Merry Christmas ~

Throwback Thursday: Swirly Snowflakes

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today we are going to step back in time with one of my favorite “winter season” die sets … the Swirly Snowflakes!

At first glance these dies might look a little confusing or blah … but what they can create is something special.  Let me show you …

This is one of my favorites … Why? Because I can easily swap out the Christmas greeting for a “Birthday” … “Thinking of You” or whatever you choose. This is a great simple layout to use over and over again. Swap colors out too for a different look.

My next card highlights the snowflakes separately ….

Again … snowflakes for a December or January birthday are perfect. And what girl doesn’t like a little bling. You could do a light blue cardstock with silver snowflakes!

My next card shows the snowflakes with the same color pallet … Gold & Vanilla but has the snowflakes together…

You cannot get much simpler than this … simply die cut and assemble, and it’s so pretty.  My last card uses the “swirls” from the dies …

On this card you could easily switch out your greeting to a birthday, thank you, get well … since the greeting is the focal point on this card, and then embellish your card with the swirls and a snowflake. You wouldn’t even have to put the snowflake on there … and by swapping out designer papers, you could create endless beautiful cards … another perfect layout.

Thank you for joining me a checking out my showcase of Swirly Snowflakes cards. I hope you were inspired to create some cute cards if you already have it … or pick it up now for only $18.00 on the Clearance Rack.

Let me know if you have questions or if you’d like help with your order …

 Have a wonderful day

Who doesn’t like these cute little aprons…

Plus these dies make cute little apron boxes as show above and below …

Another of the dies that I really like is the Hometown Greetings framelits ….

These houses are so cute and don’t need to be packed away with your Christmas stuff … Use them as a “Welcome Home” or “Congratulations on your New Home” … so many choices!

One more quickie … the Sunshine Wishes Framelits. These are so cute and I love that they are layered color upon color.  I love these cute word dies that come with the coordinating embellishments.
