Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’m back with a fun, quick card that I whipped together using my December 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit! This is really a versatile kit … and I love the die cut card fronts, makes them so easy to pull a card together (if you want to change it up a bit).

I turned the card sideways (as it was designed to be a vertical card) because I knew I wanted to create a “celebration” type card to be used for birthdays or congrats, or just to cheer someone up!

Everything I used was included in the kit except the balloons … I punched out the turquoise one from the Myths & Magic Glimmer paper and created my own Berry Burst by sponging the color onto the White Glimmer included in the kit!! Even the Bakers Twine and banner were included in the kit!

More Blooms …

Hel Stampin’ Friends ~

Wooo Hooo … I’m back in business (Yes, I had to buy a new camera) It will be nice to have a back up and this is a cute little slim one that will fit nicely in my purse!

Today I will finally get to share those two cards with you that I promised in “grey & pink”. I used Smoky Slate stamped on Smoky Slate for the background and also on the Whisper White.

I used an old photography technique where I added a touch of color (highlight) one flower which creates your focal point. It is delicate and so pretty… Wink of Stella was used in the center of the flower.

I simply used the Stampin’ Up! image to dictate where and how much color I added … just keep coloring over an area that has more grey.

The layout is similar to the Eggplant Envy card (which was my plan) and I used another greeting from the stamp set and punched it out with the circle punches.

My next card …

This card has the same layout but is now created as a vertical style card. Again the main flower is colored with a marker but not only did I add Wink of Stella to the center, but the entire flower!

I added a few rhinestones to draw your eye across the card and maintain that touch of sparkle to the card.

Passion for Coloring

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Happy New Year!! Today I’m back to share another card that features the Petal Passion Designer Series paper … and I’ve grabbed my Stampin’ Blends! The patterns in the Designer paper are so fun to color and what better to start with but the Stampin’ Blends.

Stampin’ Blends are really easy to use. I begin with my lighter of the two colors and then I go over the areas I want darker with the darker of the two … then I go back over with the lighter color and blend (soften) any harsh lines that were created when coloring.

My Stampin’ Blends colors are; Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry with a touch of the Light Pool Party! Plus, I’ve added the Wink of Stella onto a couple small flowers to maintain the white but add some sparkle.

I also used the Color Lifter to pull up a little color and add some highlighted areas to the petals. This picture not only shows the highlights but you can also see the Wink of Stella and the Clear/Glimmer Epoxy Shapes. (Did you know you could color these with your Stampin’ Blends?!)

The Stampin’ Blends are fun and easy to use and coloring is a great way to relax and color away the stress. That should check off one of your New Years Resolutions … take care of yourself more often and relax!!

Let’s not forget our greeting … it comes from the Petal Pallet which is part of the Petal Pallet bundle. Love the 10% savings when I purchase the bundles!!

Simply Sunday: Petal Passion

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Happy New Years Eve day … Hard to believe this is going to be my last post this year! But don’t worry, I have something special for you tomorrow!

Today my Simply Sunday featured product is the Petal Passion Designer Series paper. Black and White can make an elegant statement or you can add a pop of color like I did today to give it a fun little attitude.

As you can see, the Petal Passion designer paper makes a beautiful backdrop to our card and is highlighted with a pop of color from the  Myths & Magic Glimmer paper. Both can be found in the Occasions Catalog!

The wonderful greeting comes from the “A Mothers Flair” stamp set that is also found in the Occasions catalog. This new catalog is filled with great new products … and I’ll be sharing them with you in many ways.

Mermaid Magic …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I want to share with you another fun card from the “Magical Day” Bundle. I’m using it with the cute designer paper again, but we’re going a bit more feminine this time.

The layouts are similar … I switched out the background of trees yesterday to the glimmer bubbles on today’s card. We also went from dragons and knights to mermaids!

I cut out my mermaid (from the designer paper) and my stamped greeting with the Stitched Framelits … then I added the new glimmer paper from the Myths and Magic product suite.  Doesn’t that designer paper look like bubbles? I love it!!It

Speaking  of bubbles, just like yesterday’s card … I added the glimmer dots, this time coming up from the seaweed that I cut from the coordinating dies! It gives you an appearance as if you’re under the water with our mermaid.

I’m using the birthday greeting from the “Picture Perfect Birthday” stamp set for inside… just as yesterday. I wish the camera could catch what the eyes see … the seaweed is Lemon Lime twist painted with Dapper Denim using the Wink of Stella!!

You’ve seen two different cards now from the Magical Day bundle, there is so much you can do with this versatile product suite! I’m sure you’ll see more samples from this suite from me.

Magical Birthday …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

As promised … I have a really cute card to share with you today. You should have your new Occasions Catalog by now and I hope you are enjoying seeing all the wonderful stamp sets and accessories.

Today I want to share with you the “Magical Day” Bundle with you … a totally fun stamp set and coordinating dies, but let’s not stop there! Stampin’ Up! has also given us the cutest designer paper to go with it … and more but we’ll get to those in future posts.

This bundle is great for kids (or for the kid inside some of us adults) It truly is magical with it’s Dragons, Knights, Wizards, Mermaids and Unicorns! Plus, if that’s not enough … this designer paper is dazzling with glitter.

Even with the glitter, this card is great for a young man brave enough to slay the dragon … or “Train Your Dragon”!! The color combination of Dapper Denim and Lemon Lime Twist makes it even more fun!

 I borrowed a birthday greeting from the “Picture Perfect Birthday” stamp set for my inside greeting. The greeting on the front of the card is included in the Magical Day stamp set. A couple little glimmer dots to carry over the glimmer from the front of our card and the inside is complete.

Celebrating 30 Years!!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

No … not me, Stampin’ Up! will celebrate their 30th Anniversary this year! Me? I’ll be celebrating 18 years … can you believe it!

This is the time of year when we reflect on our lives and as I reflect on mine, I look at the time I’ve spent with family and friends and found these are my most treasured memories … and the little stampin’ thing that I started 18 years ago have truly complimented both!!

I have met some wonderful people who warm my heart and has also allowed me to spend special moments with my family … and for this I am grateful!

I would like to you join me for some fun, a trip back in time … let’s travel through time with Stampin’ Up! from the beginning to present day! You’ll experience our demonstrator conventions and hear our theme songs …

My journey as a demonstrator began in 2000 with the “Share your Passion” Convention … I was only a demonstrator for a few months, and knew I was in for an amazing ride!  I enjoy attending these events with my downline and Eileen, and we always meet new people, see old friends, and make new ones!! This brings back such fond memories ❤ It’s truly a party!!

If you have ever considered joining our Stampin’ Up! family … I would tell you “Just do It” … this is going to be such an exciting year to be part of this amazing group of women and men… worldwide! I wouldn’t be doing this for 18 years if I didn’t enjoy it … Let me answer your questions & concerns.

I hope that you are enjoying a beautiful and blessed Christmas with your family and friends. I am doing the same.

As many of you know, several of my family members are fighting cancer including my mother, so I have been spending extra time with her … this is one of the reasons I have not been posting everyday.

Stamping soothes my soul and I will be sharing my cards soon …. Today I want to Thank You for sharing your time with me this past year.

So I wish you and your family the happiest of holidays and I look forward to stamping with you in the new year … I have many new stamping events planned in 2018.
