One great layout … Two beautiful cards!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’d like to share one of my favorite “quick -n- easy” card layouts that gives you that WOW look, without all the work! You’ll love the ease … they’ll love their card!

Ready for some fun!? Let’s begin with the card base … Start with a piece of 8 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ cardstock (I will supplies colors later when I share the cards) Score and fold at 4 1/4″. This give you a 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ square base. This means your inside piece and the designer paper on the front is 4″ x 4″. I love this dimension for my designer paper because it means you get 9 fronts from one sheet!!

Now here’s where the magic really starts to shine! Once you’ve created your base layers, it’s time to add a die-cut shape to the top half of your card. This simple step transforms your layout from “pretty” to “WOW!” in just seconds.

Just be sure your total card height stays within 5-1/2″ so it still slips perfectly into your envelope. Trust me—once you see how easy these are to make, you’ll be making these all the time!

Circles are hands-down my favorite die-cut shape to play with—they’re classic, clean, and instantly eye-catching! On our first card, I paired the Stylish Shapes dies with the Spotlight on Nature die, and oh my goodness… that combination creates the coolest rugged, textural look! If you want to step up your layers like I did on the card (verses my instructions above), just trim your Calypso Coral cardstock to 4″ x 4″ and your Beautiful Gallery Designer Paper to 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″.

From there, I stamped the florals from the Gallery Blooms Bundle, colored them with Stampin’ Blends, and die-cut those beauties to tuck around the circle. Those little floral clusters pull the whole design together and make the focal point pop!

But here’s the fun part about this layout… you don’t have to stick with circles! Let your creativity run wild with any of Stampin’ Up!’s amazing layering dies. For my second card, I reached for the Everyday Arches Bundle, and it completely changed the feel of the layout—same concept, totally different vibe.

One of the stars of this card is the Everyday Arches Bundle from Stampin’ Up!. This versatile bundle includes a clean and elegant 13-stamp photopolymer set along with 10 nesting arch dies. The stamps feature heartfelt sentiments in graceful arched shapes—perfect for encouragement, friendship, or thank-you cards. Now pair it with the Everyday Skies 6″ × 6″ paper … an absolutely dream! One side features hand-painted cloudscapes, evoking sunrise, sunset, or the calm of an overcast day, while the other side offers more subtle, all-purpose patterns. Even better? The Everyday Skies DSP is on the Last Chance list and currently discounted to $8.75, so this is a fantastic time to grab it before it’s gone.

I’m absolutely in love with how this layout comes together — it’s clean, but with so much personality. Like I said, it’s one of my favorites, and you can see how this one pattern can looks so differently when changing out dies and papers!

If you’re looking for a layout that’s both powerful and effortless, give this one a try. Thanks!

Spooky, Sweet & Oh-So-Fun! Fun Fold Tutorial

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Halloween is creeping closer, and I’ve got a real treat for you today! A Fun Fold Card 🎃 We’re diving into the Spooky Sweet Suite Collection—a must-have for creating Halloween magic that’s more sweet than scary. From adorable costumed critters to a charming haunted house die, this suite has everything you need to whip up cards, tags, scrapbook pages, and treat bags that will delight ghosts and goblins of all ages!

Inside this suite, you’ll find:

  • Stamps featuring a costumed dog and cat (seriously, how cute are they?)
  • Dies that make creating your haunted house a breeze
  • Patterned paper with whimsical, not-too-spooky designs
  • Treat bags, ribbon, and shiny stickers—because it’s all in the details!

And today… we’re taking it up a notch with a spook-tacular Fun Fold card! Fun Folds always bring that extra “wow” factor, and when paired with the Spooky Sweet Suite, you’ll have a card that stands out in any Halloween lineup.

Let’s begin with the base: Cut to 10-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ and score at 3-1/2″ and 7″. Next you’ll cut 3 arches in the same color cardstock as your base. The size depends on what type of effect you want, and how much of the base you want to leave exposed.

Next, you’ll cut 3 pieces of the patterned paper … use the die that is one size smaller than the background. I used the house fronts to draw attention and then the candy background because that panel will be the core of the card.

Before you put those Arches dies away …. cut out three (one of each size) in the colors of candy corn. I’ll be using this as the focal point and highlight our little die cut flamingo. The flamingo was fussy cut from one of the patterned designer paper sheets. Then all you need is to stamp the greetings in Petunia Pop ink and cut and attach them to your card. I added some of those cute little purple glitter stars that come in this suite.

This card may look like a challenge but it is really simple to create!! Don’t wait too long to grab your supplies—especially the Everyday Arches Dies. They are the perfect match for this project and are currently on the Last Chance List (translation: once they’re gone, they’re gone!).

Whether you’re crafting cards to send a boo-tiful hello, making tags for treat bags, or decorating your scrapbook with a little Halloween charm, this suite is packed with possibilities. So grab your suite, pick your favorite patterned paper, and let’s get spooky!

Thanks for joining me for a spooky sweet card you’ll enjoy making and your recipients will be enchanted by!

STAMPIN’ TIP: When attaching your arches to the base, make sure you stay within a 5-1/2″ length so it fits in your envelope. I use a piece of colored cardstock that measures 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ as my guide! Easy.

Creating Charming Cards with the Everyday Arches Bundle & Storybook Friends

Hello, Stampin’ Friends!

I’m so excited to share today’s creative inspiration with you—three adorable cards featuring the Everyday Arches Bundle, paired beautifully with the Storybook Friends collection. These two work seamlessly together, and I can’t wait to show you how! To make things even better, I’ve included a video replay of my recent Facebook LIVE, where I walk you through each project step by step, sharing helpful tips along the way.

The first card is simple but so sweet! In the video, I share a key tip on how to align your stamp image onto the block so that it fits perfectly around the arched die cuts. This little trick ensures a flawless look every time! If you’ve ever struggled with getting your stamped image to frame your die-cut piece just right, this technique will be a game-changer.

For the second card, I took the Arches Dies to the next level by using them to create frames. These frames provided the perfect spotlight for some of the adorable bunnies from the Storybook Friends Designer Series Paper. It’s a fun and easy way to make those sweet images stand out while adding dimension to your project.

I used the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing folder create texture behind my arched frames. Each little bunny was fussy cut from the designer paper … they look so playful. The greeting comes from the Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack. This set features a wide range of precut sentiments in a variety of styles. You’ll be happy to know, at least I am, that it is carrying over into the NEW Annual Catalog.

And last but not least, I demonstrated how to use the largest dies to create a unique card base! This technique opens up a whole new world of card designs, and I explain it fully in the video. If you love shaped cards or want to try something different, you won’t want to miss this tip.

Again, this little bunny was fussy cut and the goal was to highlight her … make her really stand out, so I added a soft layer of color using the Blending Brushes. Then added a touch of Wink of Stella and Berry Burst Dots … simple yet impactful. The Bubble Bath and Berry Burst lends itself to really make a statement on this card.

I hope you have enjoyed these adorable card ideas and find the video helpful!

Let me know in the comments which tip you liked best or if you give any of these techniques a try. I love hearing from you and seeing your creative take on these projects.

Happy stamping! 💕 Linda
