Today is the last day … Take a look back at my Fav’s!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

It’s here … that last day we can order from the Holiday catalog! It’s a sad day to see some of our favorites leaving us, so if there is something you just have to have, let’s do it today…. or it won’t be there tomorrow.

What was your favorite? I know … there are too many to name but I will share one of my fav’s. Oh you knew it would be one of the Halloween sets.  Actually .. it’s an entire suite! MONSTER BASH … I just love it!! There are so many fun projects and cards you can make with this one, and here are a few …

Let’s start with the fun little Coffin Boxes …

I must say that I love the glitz and beautiful holiday bundles they had this year, so many to choose from. One of my favorite stamp sets that is leaving for good is one that was on my “Must Have” list. Here are a few that I created with the GOD’S PEACE Stamp set …

Thanks for taking the time to check out my favorites today. Please let me know if I can help you pick up your favorites before they are gone for good.

Have a great day, I’ll see you tomorrow with a great card I created with another of my fav’s… this one from the NEW Jan-June 2020 Holiday Catalog.

Christmas Card Parade …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Sorry for the lack of posts the past few days but just like you I’m getting my Christmas preparations done (and working…lol). So today I wanted just to share some of my favorite cards from this season … Enjoy.

My Wrapped in Plaid (Perfectly Plaid Bundle) card below is my #1 Pinned card on Pinterest right now! Amazing … such a simple card. This tells me a lot about what stampers want … Pretty cards that are easy to recreate.

Below is a picture of the Mantle Gifts close up … A Gift Box filled with coordinating Gift Cards created from the Wrapped in Plaid Bundle. That Tree Punch has been a big hit this year!

I hope you enjoyed revisiting some of my favorites this past season … Looking forward to sharing a few more with you, and kicking off then new Spring/Summer catalog!! Hope you got yours, if not, let me know!

Thank you so much for joining me today … I have a little something special for you tomorrow.

Have a wonderful day.

Simply Sunday: God’s Peace

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I am so happy that you’ve hung out and waited for me to post today … I thank you!  I have 2 beautiful cards to share with you today.  I did have my cards already for you but I went down to the Milwaukee Airport yesterday to welcome home our Veterans from the Stars & Stripes Honor Flight Alpha.  What an amazing experience … it was an honor and a privilege to welcome these brave men and women home.   My brother-in-law Arthur Schroeder (Eileen’s husband) and my friend Don Theis were both on the Alpha flight.

A picture they called the 3 Arts … far right is my brother-in-law Art Schroeder and on the left is his son, also Art Schroeder … and in the center a fellow “Art” who served in Korea. They are all standing in front of the US Marine Corps War Memorial near Arlington.

And my friend Don … we used to work together and have not seen each other in years, except for Facebook.

It was amazing to welcome these two soldiers home, and all of the others on Alpha and Bravo flights who served our country. God Bless all the men and women who risked their lives so we can live free.

Today’s cards were both created with the God’s Peace stamp set. No die-cutting today, just simple stamping … Stamps, Ink, Paper and a little embellishment. The first is one that we created in our November Stamp Club …

We used the Stamparatus so our placement didn’t overlap or wasn’t crooked… perfection, every time! We stamped the verse first in Smoky Slate and then the image using the Black Momento ink pad. Once stamped we used the Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends for our flames with a touch of Calypso Coral.

We used the Light and Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends for our poinsettia and ribbon, and Light Old Olive for our greens.  I choose the Light Old Olive because of the thick dark lines of the foliage … I thought that was dark enough.

After we were done coloring we used the Shimmery Crystal Effect … put a few dots on the foliage and then sprinkled it with the Ice Stampin’ Glitter.  Have you ever gone into a store around Christmas and just marveled at the sparkly floral arrangement? That is the effect I was going for.  We also added the Shimmery Crystal Effects on the center of the poinsettia and my flames.  I added some Wink of Stella around my flame … very pretty.

As one of the ladies was coloring, I noticed that she had not done her poinsettia yet and how pretty is was just white, so I told them I was going to do a card in blue and white, and here is the result …

I followed pretty much the same steps as I did on the first card, however I left the poinsettia white and added the Ice Stampin’ Glitter to that too.  I prefer the Wink of Stella around the flame over the Crystal Effects … personal choice. What do you think?

To complete my cards … I added the Rhinestones. The Cherry Cobbler from the Holiday Rhinestones and the Basic Rhinestones colored with the Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends coordinating with my cardstock.

I really love the way both of these cards turned out… and again, thank you for hanging out and checking back to see my post today.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
