You’ve seen my “alternative” cards with the September kit … Here’s a reminder …

I cut apart one of the “cracker” wraps and used it to create my little flower pots … the flowers where there so I made little pots for them! Then I used the scalloped edge as a valance … it is secured directly to the top, and the bottom half is popped up.

To Halloween… and Beyond!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Who said a Halloween kit has to create Halloween cards? I’m still reeling from the excitement that I experienced on World Cardmaking Day with a group of wonderful stampers. We gathered from Wisconsin, Canada, South Dakota, Montana, Oklahoma and beyond!! It was awesome, and so were the projects we made with the Paper Pumpkin kit.

Today I’d like to share the fun alternative Paper Pumpkin projects that I shared on Saturday. It’s amazing how the energy of others really can get the creative juices flowing. I thought this one turned out so cute … It goes beyond Halloween!

I cut apart one of the “cracker” wraps and used it to create my little flower pots … the flowers where there so I made little pots for them! Then I used the scalloped edge as a valance … it is secured directly to the top, and the bottom half is popped up.

The group decided that I should put the greeting onto the valance… I agree, I think it looks cute on there!

Our second card is all Halloween and also created from the cut pieces … actually the panels, and the cute embellishments enclosed in the kit.

This little cutie was quite simple and easy to create. I love playing and making alternatives to the Paper Pumpkin kit, just shows the versatility. The only thing I used that wasn’t in the kit for this card was the “Subtle” embossing folder … wanted a little texture (on both cards).

Glad you stopped in today, I have a special offer this month for any who purchases one of the subscriptions below … While supplies last

Have a Happy Halloween

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Sorry I’m a little late with my post today, I have my 16-month old Great Grandson here this weekend … and let’s just say, he’s a handful!! And this GG is not used to 24-7 chasing (my house is not Khari-proof) lol

So what is the quickest way to make a card? Grad a card kit or a Paper Pumpkin and your on your way. There are so many cute embellishments in the September Paper Pumpkin kit … I used the Pumpkin embellishments and the leaf and greeting stamps that are included.

I used Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze (Cajun Craze is included in the kit) to stamp my cute little leaf.

The jack-o-lantern face and greeting were both stamped in the Tuxedo Black Momento ink. The base and mat for my pumpkins are Pumpkin Pie … the perfect Halloween color!

I’m thinking I should have run this through the embossing machine with the “Subtle” embossing folder … this would have given the card some texture along with the dimension … just a thought. What do you think?

I appreciate you stopping back for the visit today….

Hope your day is a good one.
