Accented Blooms: Thinking of You

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m sharing some fun cards / project created with the Accented Blooms stamp set … one that now sits on the retiring list.  You can create big messages with a few words and some beautiful imagery to highlight it.  These stamps have deeply etched images so you get a superior stamped impression each time.

The greetings used on the cards today are two that are so fitting for me right now; Always Thinking of You and Thank You!  Here is the card that I created …

I used the Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends duos. I also used the Color Lifter … that little tool works awesome put pull some color off like I did in the large flower. One of the benefits of using the Stampin’ Blends is that I could tone down the brightness of the Daffodil Delight by blending with a touch of the Soft Suede.

Another tool I used while creating this card is the Stamparatus … I knew I would be making several of these cards so I wanted to ensure I got my greeting positioned properly each time. You could however stamp the greeting and then punch it out with the coordinating punch and pop it up, that would also give you additional dimension.

This card was created by the Stampin’ Up! home office and is featured in the catalog …

The card uses watercoloring to add color to the flowers, and the greeting images is stamped and punched out with the coordinating Tailored Tag punch.  The punched greeting and die cut florals behind the stamped image adds so much dimension and texture to the card.

Are you ready for a sweet little treat? …  Love you too!!

The precious little gift used the Clear Tiny treat boxes (pg.173) and a simple banner folded over the treat box.  The banner is stamped with the element images included in the Accented Blooms stamp set.  And our greeting … well, that was created by using just a part of the stamped greeting. Sometimes we forget how a simple little stampin’ tip like this can help transform your projects.

Here are some of the basic supplies used to create these projects …

Thank you for stopping by today. My wish for you is to have a wonderful day.

Tree Advent Calendar

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Sorry I’m a bit late today, I spent some time with my grandson AJ yesterday who turned 17! Wow, they grow up fast. On the other hand, I also spent time with my youngest granddaughter Lori … she’s just 4 months. It was a busy day!

While checking out the “Get Inspired” blog by Stampin’ Up! I ran across the cutest project for Christmas. It was created by Allison Okamitsu 2014–2015 Artisan Design Team. I just had to share this one with you ….

Tree Advent Calendar

Christmas will be here before you know it, my friends, and what better way to celebrate the days leading up to it than an advent calendar?!

1

Tiny Treat Boxes (item #135829) make an adorable advent tree. I’ve covered each of the boxes with patterns from the Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper (item #139592)—what fabulous nostalgic designs it has! And the Hello December 2015 Project Life Accessory Pack (item #139654) has some great stickers numbered 1–25 for each box lid. The boxes are the perfect size to hold a treat, love note, or coupon for each day of December until Christmas day.

2

You’ll want to assemble your tree in layers, with seven boxes on the bottom layer, followed by layers of six, five, four, three, and one. The box on the very top of the tree isn’t meant to be opened, but it sure looks lovely as a topper. Using hot glue, I also adhered a double bow with long, whimsical tails using two yards of Mossy Meadow 5/8″ Striped Cotton Ribbon (item #138419).

Whether you’re counting down until Christmas with little children at home, grown children at university, or your spouse, this Tree Advent Calendar will be a lovely addition to your holiday (or dorm room) décor!

Don’t you think that is the most adorable? What a fun project to make with your kids!

Thank you for stopping by today, I’ll be back tomorrow with fun Halloween card!

Have a wonderful day ~

Holiday Sweet Treats …

Happy Friday Stampin’ Friends,

And Happy Halloween! Today I have a quick -n- quick sweet treat to share with you. I’m using the “Tiny Treat Boxes” from the Holiday Catalog – page 10 to be exact.

These cute little boxes are quick and easy to pop up and have 25 in the package for only $6.95… perfect for passing along a sweet treat.

To decorate I used designer paper to create a belly band … just think, you can do this for birthdays, Halloween, wedding favors – the possibilities are endless!

My flower was created with the (yes, it’s retired) 5 petal punch stamp set, but I know many of you have this punch, and I wanted a poinsettia as my flower. The center petals comes from the Boho Blossom punch.

We colored the pearls with the Blendabilities marker … and they turned out so cute.

These cute little boxes were made for my retreat attendees as a pillow gift on Friday night. Each box contained two Christmas truffles …. yum!

It’s that time of year again … and here in Wisconsin, we woke up to snow on the car!

Have a wonderful day ~
