Today is the third card share in my trilogy of quick -n- easy cards.  What can be simpler than a kit with precut supplies and all the embellishments you need at your fingertips … we call it Paper Pumpkin!  Our October kit; Winter Woods will add  a beautiful, handmade touch to your Christmas card giving.

Simply Sunday: Dancin’ in the Moonlight

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

And a happy Sunday to you! Are you ready for some fun today? I’ve got a playful combination of products to share with you today… the Monster Bash product suite and the September 2019 Paper Pumpkin: Bone Appétit.

Let’s begin with the Coffin Boxes … such a fun way to share a special treat with your trick or treaters this year. I used the beautiful scroll design from our Monster Bash designer paper,  Now grab your sponge dauber and your Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie ink pads.  I sponged on these colors to create a candy corn look directly onto my designer paper.  Little Wink of Stella to give it some shimmer.

Next I  pulled out my Bone Appétit Paper Pumpkin and adhered the vellum circle onto my lid. I took the new BLACK (I just love them) Stampin’ Dimensionals and used it to pop up my skeleton web … not only does it pop up but it give you the “dark sockets” in the skull! A bit creepy!

I added a little greeting direct from the Paper Pumpkin kit and the enamel embellishments are from our Monster Bash Suite. Then I thought it would be cute to give the recipient of this crafty little gift a “hand” … lol

With the same supplies and sponging technique, I created a coordinating card …

I just love these little skeletons and thought it would be cute to have them dancin’ across the card. These little guys are die cut images, as is the tag.  Did you know that if you subscribe for the October kit … you could then purchase this kit too!!  Past kits are available to purchase when you are a current Paper Pumpkin subscriber!

The holiday season will be here before we know it. And along with putting up the Christmas tree and spending snowy nights by the fire, many of my Paper Pumpkin subscribers will be looking forward to opening their holiday kit. Christmastime papercrafting with Paper Pumpkin has become an annual tradition!

Let’s take one last peek at our Halloween themed Paper Pumpkin and Monster Bash combination … I had a blast making these, and I’m sure my grandkids are going to love them!

Not Bones About it … Sharing Bone Appetit

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Last night we kicked off our 2019-20 Stamp Clubs.  I’m so excited to gather my group of stampers around the table again. It’s always a good time.  This month we are creating cards featuring the new “W” Fold card.  I’m sorry I can’t share these with you “yet” … I have another Club on Saturday and I want them to be surprised. I promise I will be sharing in the near future.

Today I’d like to share the little treat boxes that I have made for each of my club members. It comes from the 2019 September Paper Pumpkin: Bone Appetit.  These little cuties are adorned in black strips or polka dots on a orange foil.

The little tags have cute dancing skeletons (above) or a spider web (below) … just too cute! I feel in love with the skeleton hand that acts as a closure for our box …

These little boxes were quick -n- easy to assemble and decorate… and they are filled with chocolates! Can’t get better than gathering with friends, having fun making cool stuff for Halloween and chocolate!

We have a couple chairs around the table that will be open for non-club members to join us. I will post the dates and the card fold / technique that we will be doing that month, and you can RSVP and join us. Although you will not receive Hostess Benefits like club members, you will still get to create the projects with us!

Simply Sunday … Using Card Kits for Quick-n-Easy Cardmaking

Are you always struggling to come up with card designs? Let me help you by introducing “kits” that work well together.  Today I am taking the base from one of the cards included in the July 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit and pairing it up with some of the amazing contents in the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Kit.  Creating with any of our card kits makes designing cards so easy.

Most of you know that I am a Lighthouse fanatic!!  They are so majestic and full of history … the are the guardians of the seas. OK … a little more about the card now!!  The base is from the July 2019 Paper Pumpkin, then I pulled the rest of the images from the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack.

The card pack includes 50 total double-sided cards (2 each of 25 designs), 4 sticker sheets, all Acid free, lignin free and work perfect for scrapbooking or cardmaking.  The background and base are both cards from the pack and then I started adding the stickers. Let me mention that the stickers are not flimsy stickers but sturdy die cuts with adhesive… the stand up well to your cards and scrapbooks.

The rope border, both greetings / verbiage and anchor are all stickers from the card pack.  The adhesive allows you to move it around a bit while you are creating, as long as you are not pushing it down too hard. We all need quick -n- easy cards, and these kits solve the problem!!

On My Mind … Alternative Projects

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I have taken the July 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit and gave it a bit of a twist … that is the beauty of these kits, you can make them per instructions or you can change them up a bit, or you can totally transform them into your desired project. Watch the how-to video then check out my alternatives!

Here is a shot of all 3 of these cards (and I love the coordinating envelopes!)

 

The “You’re the Best” card was the one I’ve done the least amount of change … I’ve basically just changed the orientation of the card from a vertical to a horizontal card …

I really like the texture on this card, I’m going to have to explore a little more with this one!

Next I decided to play with the “You’ve Been on My Mind” card. I changed the orientation of this card as well, and decided I liked the banners hanging down … I also tucked one on the top left hand side to add balance and then added a bow and paperclip … cute!!

I wanted the designer paper to show up a little better so I added a Pretty Peacock mat behind it.

As with the other two cards, I changed the orientation of the card.  I also changed the layout ever so slightly as I did not want to cover up the boat as they do in the original card layout.

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Everyone has loved the April 2019 Paper Pumpkin Sentimental Rose kit! Stampin’ Up! has just shared some alternative project ideas and I have them to share with you. The versatility of this kit and variety of projects will make you swoon.

Stampin’ Up! also wants to introduce Vanessa Herrema, who designed the kit. She is truly a wonderful artist and will share her thoughts and insights about creating this kit.  They are doing this doing a Facebook Live … how fun is that!!  I have the link https://www.facebook.com/paperpumpkinbystampinup/ and you can see Vanessa on TUE, APR 30 AT 5 PM MDT (That is 4 pm Central Time… us!)
