There are No Mistakes in Stamping …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m going to share a cute card that I created from a “boo boo” that I made during my Color Your Season Class on Thursday night.  On our first card we stamped the floral image and colored it, on the third card we use two of the dies to create some layers …. however, I cut the die shapes out, out of my floral image Oh my …  so I created a form of the eclipse card!!

Can you see the beautiful layering? From a boo-boo it turned out pretty cool … lol.  My card front it popped up with the dimensionals, the second layer is adhered directly to the base of my card and the center is popped up with the Stampin’ Dimensionals as well… giving this card a very unique look.

It was created on Whisper White cardstock and was stamped in Momento Ink using the floral image from the Blended Seasons Stamp Set. I used the New set of Watercolor Pencils to color in my image and the blender pen to give it a more watercolor effect. Our class also used the Stampin’ Blends and Aqua Painters to create cards with this bundle and the new Watercolor Pencils (they are amazing) this whole bundle is amazing!!

Our colors of the Watercolor Pencils were Gorgeous Grape, Night of Navy, Granny Apple Green and Garden Green. Oh yes, and Crushed Curry for our flower centers.  Simply color just like you did as a kid, then use the Blender Pen to soften the look!  After layering the pieces I added the new Glitter Dots to the card to take up just a little of the white space.

See … there really are no mistakes in stamping, just opportunities unfolding!! Hope you enjoyed todays card and that it inspires you to create outside of the box. Or at least, not to throw your boo-boo’s away!!

Thanks for checking in on my today, tomorrow I will share my “Sneak Peek” into the holiday catalog with you.

Have yourself an awesome day!!

Soar Above the Rest …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Yesterday I shared a trio of cards from our 2016 Holiday Stamping Retreat. Today I’d like to share a picture that I took during our retreat …

Hmmm … why would I show that? Well, if you are a follower of my blog, you know that I spent last weekend with my downline, fellow demonstrators and Stampin’ Up! We did stamping, celebrating and …. Exploring the NEW Occasions catalog!!

Well … I can’t show you that right now, but I can give you a sneak peek, and when I do you will totally understand the correlation between the two!!

Oh wait … that’s not it either! Are you catching the “theme” of these photos yet? I am excited to introduce to you a Sneak Peek of the  “Lift Me Up!” bundle …

I can’t wait to share this awesome bundle with you … Isn’t this awesome!!  A fellow demonstrator created this card, many cards we displayed so that we can get a good look at the new goodies!

Thanks for dropping in today~

Hope your day finds you “Soaring Above the Rest!”

Star of Light Trio of Cards …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

First let me say “Happy Veterans Day” … a big THANK YOU to all our current and past military men and women who put their lives on the line, and those who sacrificed their lives so that we can enjoy the freedoms here at home. I U.

Today I want to share 3 beautiful cards that we made at our Annual Holiday Stamping Retreat featuring one of my favorite stamp sets from the Holiday Catalog … the Star of Light stamp set and Thinlits.

At Retreat and all my stamping events …. it is my mission to show the versatility of the stamp sets or bundles. Here we went from a simple card to beautiful elegance …

Let’s begin with the center card, created using Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder. Simple but pretty and it highlights the stamps, ink and greetings with just a touch of bling to draw your eye to the focal point of the card, the star.

The card on the left uses Pool Party and Island Indigo a fun color combination turned elegant when we sponged the background and used the Silver Foil paper for our star, topped with a beautiful die cut. (This card was cased from a fellow demonstrator) I wish the photo would have reflected the silver so you could see how stunning it really is. We also used the new Metallic Enamel Shapes on the card which works so well with the Silver Foil paper … this was one of our “All attendee Gifts”(also known as Pillow Gifts as they get a package of goodies on their beds as a Thank You for joining us)

Our last card on the right seems to be everybody’s favorite. It was really quite simple to make, but so elegant when done in Very Vanilla and Basic Black.  The Enamel Shapes were also used on this card – the package comes with both Silver and Gold.  The designer paper we used comes from the Annual Catalog called “This Christmas”. It’s a specialty designer paper because it is a little thinner than our normal designer paper… but you get more!!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card share, I would love it if you would please “LIKE” this post at the bottom if you did, and then tell me which one is your favorite!! The key ingredients to make these cards are listed below.

Thank you for spending a part of your Friday with me …

I hope you have a marvelous day!

A Special Note …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Happy Saturday … and for some of us, an extra long weekend! No work on Monday 🙂 Happy Face!!  I love when I can spend more time in my stamping room and play with my new stampin’ stuff.

Today, I have a beautiful card to share with you. We made this card during my “Floral Phrases” class. The focus of the class was to illustrate the different ways that you could use this awesome bundle.

This card was simple to make but looks extravagant. We begin with the Night of Navy cardstock – cut lengthwise. The inside white and white for the front are both cut at 4″ x 5-1/4″.

Place one of the white sheets on the the New BigShot platform and topped with the Precision Base Plate. The Precision Base Plate will deliver improved performance with this detailed die, giving you the extra fine cut. Place each of the floral dies at the end of the cardstock … there will be a space between them.

Once cut, I used the Die Brush to remove the small cut pieces from the dies. I applied the cut piece to the front of the card using my Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped my greeting from the stamp set onto a 1″ strip of Whisper White and attached it directly to the card. Add a few Pearls and your done with the front … that quick and easy, with beautiful results.

The inside of the card has a strip of the coordinating Designer Series Paper – Floral Boutique and another of the greetings/verses that come with the Floral Phrases stamp set. This is the first bundle that caught my eye when I first got my annual catalog … I love it!

Thanks so much for joining me today!

Have a wonderful day, and enjoy the beautiful sunshine (I hope it’s shining by you too).

Blue Hydrangea …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

As promised, I am going to share another card I created to display at my THOUGHTFUL BRANCHES class. You will also get a peek at the 3 cards that we made …

During class our stampers learned several tips on how to use the stamp set and coordinating dies … I will share that with you tomorrow so be sure to stop back. Today I’m showing you how simple it is to create a beautiful Hydrangea card.

We begin by simply sponging some Marina Mist onto Soft Sky … it gives beautiful multi-color blue hues for your flower. Once dry, and it doesn’t take long at all, we placed our framelit over the sponged area and cut out our flower … SIMPLE!

We embellished the flower with the smallest of pearls from the Basic Pearls sheet. I love the Pearls and the Rhinestones … they are simple to use, and very inexpensive to add a touch of bling / beauty to any card.

The background was done in Whisper White and embossed with the “Sparkle” embossing folder. There are so many folders you could use! Another would be the “Petal Burst” … experiment and have fun.

We attached our flower by “rolling” the glue dots … they hold beautifully and when rolled, they give a little lift to the flower and adds a bit more dimension to the card.

The greeting comes from the THOUGHTFUL BRANCHES stamp set. I can’t say it enough, if you love “Lovely As a Tree” … you will definitely want to add this bundle to your collection! Just click on the link below to purchase and I will send you a “Thank You” gift in the mail.

Please let me know if you have any questions on this beautiful “Limited Time” bundle, or anything else. I’m here to help.

Thank you for stopping back today, I hope yours is a good one.

Thank YOU!

Simply Sunday: Congratulations

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’d like to share a card with you, that you may find surprising to find on my Simply Sunday post. But just so you know, what looks like you put so much time into, it was quite simple!

Let’s begin with our “Floral Boutique Suite” …This is one of the cards from my Floral Boutique class.

You’ll find the entire product suite on page 76 and 77 of our annual catalog. Our core colors are Whisper White and Night of Navy, so make sure you pull out the cardstock and coordinating ink.

You’ll cut your cardstock 4-1/4″ x 11″ and fold in half to create a “tent” fold. You will also need to cut a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ to slide behind the front of your card. You’ll emboss the spray of flowers folder from the “Floral Affection” tolder set.

Next you will cut the smaller piece of the die set at the bottom of your card, this is where the Navy goes – behind the design … just watch those beautiful flowers pop. Before you secure that down, be sure you add your white ribbon.

Now you’re free to stamp all your images, inside and out. The greeting “Congratulations” fits so nicely between the two swags of flowers … Love it!

I wanted to add even more texture so I punched out the butterflies using the coordinating Designer Series Paper – “Floral Boutique” and vellum.

I added a string of pearls to my butterfly for the body and to complete the card I just added one of the beautiful “Metal Rimmed Pearls” to highlight the beautiful die cut. It is so delicate, so pretty.

I hope my card inspired you to explore the beauty of this product suite, either to use yours to the fullest or to purchase one.  So many ways you can use this.

Thank you for taking time out of  your Sunday to stop by.

Have a beautiful day!

You can click on any item to find out more about it or to begin your shopping. Thank you.

The Smallest Things …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today’s card is created with the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set and coordinating punch. This is one of the bundles you can purchase and save 10% right off the top!

Don’t forget that the Bonus Days are going on now and all purchases of $50 (before Shipping & Taxes) will get you a coupon worth $5 to spend next month!

A simple card really, I began with a Whisper White base and a Soft Sky mat. The stem and leaves were stamped with Garden Green. I then set out to create my flower.

The flower was punched from Whisper White … 3 larger petals and 2 smaller petals. The center of the flower was punched from the smaller petal on the punch out of Crushed Curry cardstock. And finally the base of the flower was punched out of Garden Green from the star like image on the punch.

I put a dab of adhesive onto the bottom part of each of my 3 larger petals, put them together and fanning them out slightly to create the back of my flower.  With a dimensional… I added the Curry petal in the center.

I then began the front piece of the flower … the two pieces were adhered together and  fanned it out to cover the center piece and then popped them up with dimensionals as well.

To complete the flower, I wrapped the star like image around the front and the back of my flower and curled up the sides as much as I could so it appears the flower is sitting inside of it. This image really shows the dimension of the card nicely, including our banner.

The banner was punched from our triple banner punch and stamped in Garden Green with the words from the “Layering Love” stamp set. I love the wording in the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set, however I wanted to use this verse because it fit so well with just a single flower. The banner was anchored with 2 pearls to complete the card.

Hope you enjoyed. Please feel free to leave a comment, I love to hear what you think.

Thank you for checking in on my blog today…

Have a good one!

These two items will qualify you for the “BONUS DAYS” Coupon!

Throwback Thursday: Tea Anyone?

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Had a wonderful night stampin’ with my Technique club last night. A wonderful group of ladies and it was just what I needed … I’ve been working hard in my stampin’ studio on my retreat and it was so nice to interact with my stampin’ friends face to face. Wish I could have you all over!

Today for Throwback Thursday, we are going back to March 2012 to the “Tea Shoppe” stamp set … oh I loved this set! Here are some of the cards that we made using this set!

Today we have the “A Nice Cuppa” stamp set, and you can bundle it with the “Cups & Kettles” Framlits Dies…. What did we do before them!? Lots of fussy cutting! Ugh!  I LOVE FRAMELITS & PUNCHES!

This fun layout and color combination is what I really loved with this next card! Early Espresso (what else) and Pool Party … so nice together.

There were so many cute cards created with this set but this will be my favorite. Did you notice the corner of the card front is tucked behind the “you suit me to a tea” …. hmmm!

That’s because it locks the fun fold together. It’s like a card inside of a card (sorry for the poor photo quality) and the back is embossed to highlight the inner card. Unique and fun.

Now with the fun designer paper from the “Have a Cuppa” product suite … it all coordinates including the stamp set, cardstock and embellishments!  Check it out on page 34 and 35 of the Occasions Catalog. (click on the catalog on the right to view).

I hope this inspired you to create some fun projects using our new “tea cup” stamp set!

Thank you for sharing a part of your day with me.

Have a good one ~
