Sharing Tidings of Christmas …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

It’s finally the weekend … and I’m happy!! I’m also happy to share 3 totally different cards that were created with the same pack of Designer Series paper. I want you to see a couple different ways you can use your paper.

Stampin’ Up! is hosting a Designer Series paper sale which is in progress right now! There are 9 different packages on sale (listed below) … today I’m going to showcase the Tidings of Christmas paper …

The Tidings of Christmas Designer paper is 6 x 6″! I love that you can purchase one, two or more at a savings of 15% … this is so much different than what we had in the past!! Here is a list of the other 8 designer papers …

Here’s my first sample from the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series paper …. Using your designer paper as the background makes it super simple to make your holiday cards quickly and easily.

I love the color pallet of this paper, with the new Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Cherry Cobbler … so pretty together. This pattern can be used in so many ways, and not only for Christmas but a nice birthday card for those who’s birthdays fall during the holiday season.

The next card has a similar pattern but done in Misty Moonlight and Soft Succulent …

I used the coordinating stamp set and dies from the Tidings of Christmas suite … I love these stockings and the stamped patterns work so nicely with the designer paper. The die cut greenery also coordinates with the designer paper!

My third card uses the designer paper to lighten up the card but allows me to accent it with the beautiful Gold Specialty paper. I also like that this paper adds that special touch without using your “non-traditional” colors …

There are so many cool patterns in this Tidings of Christmas paper pack alone so I’ll share more with you during the sale!!

Thank you for spending some time with me today!

Have a wonderful day ~

You’re a Peach!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’m excited to tell you about the upcoming Designer Series Paper Sale! During this promotion you can save 15% on Select Designer papers … I have the list for you today, then I’ll be sharing great ways to utilize your designer papers all week long, right here on my blog!!

Christmas Layers Dies, Not just for Christmas …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I am sharing cards were created with the Christmas Layers Dies. These were paired with the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set … both of these items are retiring, and I’m taking a look back to share with you some cute cards in case these are on your retiring Wish List!

I wanted to show the different elements of the stamp set and dies to demonstrate how versatile this bundle is.

The first card is bursting with holiday flair and is decked out in gold.  The floral pattern really highlights the greeting and ties in the gold throughout the card so nicely. The Shades Spruce and Cherry Cobbler look so regal … You can use the Plaid Tidings Designer paper which is currently on our Clearance Rack!

Here is another sample that highlights the floral dies cuts … I love these, they actually look more like a metal embellishment than a die cut piece of cardstock!! They also used the die cut image to create a fun background on this card.

My second card is so different from the first in that we have created our own “Shimmer” paper by spritzing the beautiful Seaside Spray from our 2019 – 2021 In Color collection.  For a little more sparkle, the snowflakes are cut from the Sparkle Shimmer Paper! But wait … there is one more layer of sparkle when I added the Rhinestones to the snowflakes.

This card is just simply elegant and done with White and Silver … and yes, graced with a touch of glitter. Instead of die cutting the image and adhering it to the base as I did in the first card, I actually cut it out of the front and used it to impose a second layer to the card… stunning.

I have another samples the highlights the foliage die …

If you didn’t know these cards were from the same stamp set/dies … you might not know that they were!  Oh wait … I have one more project that can be created with these stunning dies.

Each of these cards/projects were done with the Christmas Layers Dies and the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set. I have “one more” card sample for you below!!

Thanks for checking in with me today … meet you back here tomorrow.

Have some fun today!

Always on My Mind

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Sorry I’m late with today’s post … I got carried away cleaning out my stamp room yesterday!! I’ve been pulling out all my sets that are going to retire 😦 and making room for the NEW ones to join the current remaining sets! 🙂 Today, I have another card from the UNDER MY UMBRELLA stamp set and coordinating punch … as promised.

I teamed up this bundle with some darling designer paper found in the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer paper … specialty because it has “gold foil” designs (I’ll share that another day). I’ve also used the Triple Banner punch – also retiring … on today’s card.

You will see the discounted products at the end of my post – we’ve got some pretty good savings for you!

Take a look at the flowers on the stamp set … don’t you think the look similar to the flowers on this pattern paper? Me too!! So, I thought they would go perfectly together …

My apologies … the camera did not do this card justice!! The colors are actually Old Olive and the retiring Terracotta Tile and the designer paper is much prettier too.

I stamped the umbrella onto the designer paper and punched it out … I punched out a 2″ circle with the “retiring” 2″ Circle Punch to create the focal point … the umbrella. I also fussy cut a few of the flowers and placed them around the card to draw your eye around the entire card.

I used my Terracotta Tile marker to dye my white Bakers Twine and added it to the top of my banner. I stamped my greeting underneath my focal point … the umbrella. I chose this greeting because today is my Mom’s birthday, and I think of her “rain or shine”. She is truly missed.

I want to “Thank You” for hanging out, stopping back and checking out my post today. I hope you have a beautiful Sunday ~

Frosted Impressions Technique!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have the coolest technique to share with you, and it is so simple you will ask yourself “why” you didn’t think of it myself? lol This technique is called Frosted Impressions.

You will need your window sheets, an embossing folder and an embossing machine, I tried out the new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss by Stampin’ Up! I love it’s size, the smooth roll and the fact that each plate is numbered (I’ll share more about that another time). I used the “Cobwebs” embossing folder …

I emboss your Window sheet with your favorite folder and then use sand paper to create the “frosted” look. Watch my short video to see exactly how I did this …

Wasn’t that simple? And it’s so cool … Emboss, sand, and you have a cool background!! I thought the spider webs were appropriate for upcoming holiday … but I truly believe those snowflakes in the mini catalog would be stunning.

I used the many of the components from the Magic in this Night Suite; I’ll have a list for you below.

A Few of my Favorite Things ….

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’d like to share several beautiful cards from my favorite things on the Clearance Rack, well … a few of them anyway.  This clearance rack is packed with amazing new items, and if you missed them in the catalog … now if your chance to get them (and on sale!!) Oh yes … I’ll pay your tax in April too!!

I’ve changed up the greetings on these some of the samples so you can picture using them anytime of the year.  Let me start with the Starlight Thinlits Dies … anything with “Star” in the name is a pretty sure bet that I’ll be buying it … My Team name is “Stars by Design”!!

For me … Stars can be added to any card!! Birthday’s, Christmas, Graduations, Promotions & more!!  Here we are encouraging an up ‘n coming musician … be a star!

Next I’d like to highlight the amazing Mercury Glass Designer Acetate …

This is a fun acetate that makes great Christmas cards but I think it would also be perfect for a 25th Wedding Anniversary …Silver!!  I will tell you there is a protective film on one side which you will need to remove if you want to punch designs out.  I’ve also seen demonstrators “heat emboss” on this … just remember to use a light hand.  Practice on a scrap piece of paper.  Here is my card ….

Another favorite is the Wrapped in Plaid Designer paper.  You’ve already seen a few cards this week featuring this pretty paper …

Now I’d like to share another!  Green and Gold does not have to mean Christmas … We are Packers fans!! Besides, a little gold glitz goes a long way. This may look a little Christmassy but there are many other colors and patterns (see above) that can be used for any occasion.

Another die I really used a lot …

Don’t let the “snowflake” in the name fool you… I used them along with the lacy background to create a soft feminine card to let my friend know “her friendship is priceless”.

When you see these items on the Clearance Rack … think outside the box.  They don’t have to be used just for snowy holidays, create all year long with them!  Nothing wrong with getting your money’s worth out of your stampin’ stash, and they’re on sale!! Even Better 🙂

Thanks for checking out a few of my favorite things!  What are yours?

Have a great day.  I’ll see you tomorrow with something “FUN”!!
