To My Valentine …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’d like to share a Valentine card that was inspired by a “Heart Box” that we have at the Candy store I work at. It also highlights the fabulous Lovely Lipstick Foil sheets from our Sale-A-Bration catalog … there is also a very spectacular Grapefruit Grove Foil sheets included in the package!!  I will share a card using that tomorrow!

I’m starting with the “MEANT TO BE” bundle from our Occasions Catalog … I have shared several projects using this bundle already. You can create die-cut hearts in all shapes and sizes in record time with Framelits dies and the Big Shot. The dies have stitching and scalloped details… and with the one I’m using today, one cut gets you two hearts!

The embossed heart reminds me of the decorations I was using when setting up the candy store yesterday … I cut the heart our first. It cuts a scalloped heart and then the inner heart so you actually have two.  I used the “Tufted” Embossing folder for the fun texture on this heart.  I used stampin’ dimensionals to keep the two pieces together.

I also cut out the Basic Black heart out with this die but only used the inside heart.  My more “masculine” heart, goes well with my Lovely Lipstick Foil tufted heart ❤  All die cuts and the “Happy Valentine’s Day” which was punched with the Pretty Label Punch, were all popped up with the Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The pretty paper comes from the “All My Love” Designer Series paper, and is the flip side to my “Thinking of You” card I posted earlier this month.

We had a little chuckle at my club this week as I passed around a few cards that I have created … each person opened the card to see what was inside (I laughed and said … don’t look in there!)  So, I’m going to make it a point to stamp on the insides as well …

I actually like the little border of Lovely Lipstick and Basic Black hearts … and it ties in with the front of our card.  All the stamps used on today’s card are from the Meant to Be stamp set that is included in this bundle.

The Meant to Be bundle not only qualifies you for a FREE Sale-A-Bration item but if you purchase from me, you will also receive a Virtual Rewards Point from me (Every $50 qualifies you… and you don’t have to worry – I do all the work, your card gets stamped with your purchase) When you have 10 … I send you a card so you can claim a FREE Stamp Set of Your Choice… YES, Your Choice!!

If you are located in the United States and looking for a creative coach/demonstrator … I’d be happy to help you.

Thank you so much for the visit today, and if you liked my card … please hit click on the LIKE button on the bottom of the page, or leave a comment, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Have a sweet day ~

Sweet Wishes …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Sorry I missed  you yesterday but I’m back today with twice the fun! I’ve got two cards for you today that feature the adorable “Hello Cupcake” stamp set from our Sale-A-Bration catalog.

Lets start with our first card, this card was created with our beginner stampers in mind … Stamps, Paper and Ink! My color pallet is Flirty Flamingo and Crumb cake. The stamps are photopolymer so the images are easy for anyone to align.

The cute little greeting comes with the stamp set along with two other greeting, the sprinkles (which I stamped around the edges to look like confetti) and 3 more stamps. Just think of all the cute cards you will be able to make with this set, and it’s FREE with a $50 purchase.

My second card is definitely a step up, although I did use exactly the same stamps and color scheme.  My cupcake got a touch of added ink by coloring it with a blender pen and a touch of our favorite “Wink of Stella”.  I also fussy cut the cupcake out so I could pop it up and make it the focal point of my card.

I used the same Flirty Flamingo cardstock but instead of using to mat the white, I used the Rectangle Stitched Framelit dies to cut out an opening which highlights my greeting.  I also added a bright pop of color with the Gingham Gala Designer paper … the coordinating ribbon can be found in the Sale-A-Bration catalog as well.

I could not resist adding the sweet little “Frosted Flower” Embellishments to my card, and if they weren’t cute enough … I added a touch of Wink of Stella and a Rhinestone to the center for a bit of bling! This is a perfect card for your little sweetie!!

Thank you for stopping back today and enjoying a “cupcake” or two!!

Have a sweet day ~

Quick -n- Easy: Precious Parcels Card kit

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

If you need a cute card fast or if you are new to stamping, the Precious Parcels Card kit in the Sale-a-bration catalog, is the perfect answer.  These cards are easily assembled and sooo cute! They are even embossed to add a soft texture to your cards.

The Precious Parcels Card kit was one of the products highlighted at our OnStage Event in November and I fell in love with it.  Check out the video and see for yourself …

I think it’s the soft earthy tones that attract me to this card kit, and the ease of assembly is great for those of us on the go and short on time. We can still make beautiful hand crafted cards!

The colors are perfect for spring (or anytime) … they are just beautiful cards.  There are two styles of cards … stop back on Wednesday and I will share how you can jazz it up even more (for you avid stampers!)

Thank you for joining me today.

Enjoy your day ~

Thinking of you …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a quick -n- easy card even though it uses the BigShot.  I started with the Meant to Be bundle … most see this as a Valentines stamp set but I see it as so much more. Life is about moments and hopefully moments that touch our heart … that is what I see in this set, something that can touch another’s heart.

And our All my Love Designer Series paper is literally “full” of hearts!!  This awesome paper can be used with either the “Meant to Be” bundle or the “Forever Lovely” bundle on page 5 of the Occasions catalog.

There is a little Vellum Cardstock that covers the Lovely Lipstick piece of designer paper so your greeting shows up.  The hearts were cut from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies … and the little ones came from the string on hearts die. I’ll be sure to share a card using that … I love it!

So today’s card is simple to create and it’s full of heart! This is why I chose today’s greeting for my card … “know that today a friend is thinking of you <3”  Creating a card to share with someone is like a hug in an envelope!

Thank you so much for sharing part of your day with me … it touches my heart ❤

Have a lovely day, and I look forward to meeting you back here tomorrow for a pretty little card that I created with one of our Sale-A-Bration stamp sets.

Happy New Year! Happy Hearts!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Are you ready to take our “Meant to Be” stamp set to the next level?  Let’s start with the coordinating “Be Mine” Framelits and kick of the New Year in style!!

Today I have chosen yet another heart from our stamp set (so many different styles of hearts) and pair it with a pretty little heart die that will add that certain touch to your card …

Our color pallet today includes the Whisper White and the Flirty Flamingo which truly highlights this small heart pattern from the “All My Love” Designer Series paper.  The base is in Whisper White and the Flirty Flamingo somewhat mats the designer paper … the edge was cut with one of the dies included in the bundle.

Once the hearts were stamped using the Flirty Flamingo, they were die cut with one of the heart dies in the bundle.  Isn’t it pretty … I love the stitched area around the stamping and then the frilly ruffled edge.

The cute little hearts (that look like candy) are popped up onto a piece of Flirty Flamingo that was cut with the brand new Rectangle Stitched Framelits!  Wooo hooo …. been waiting for the rectangle and lovin’ the stitched edge.  🙂  The rectangle piece has also been popped up with our dimensionals to create depth and dimension on our card.

The card was completed with a small banner and a delicate little greeting announcing our love.  This card too is on the “simple” side in regards to assembly but fits with those of us who seem to “have” or “want” it all!

Thank you very much for spending your New Years Day with me!! I wish you and your family a wonderful new year filled with love, happiness and whatever you desire… including stamping! lol

Have a great day ~

It’s Meant to Be

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today is the last day of 2018 and many of us are reflecting upon the past year, and looking ahead to the new one.  Yesterday I stepped back to the basics of stamping and today I’m just bringing it up a notch plus adding a few stampin’ tips along the way … especially to our new stampers.

I will be using the Meant to Be stamp set again, and I took the other 1/2 of the cardstock we cut yesterday to start todays card…

Using the 1/2 sheet from yesterday, we folded it in half and now we are going to create a background by stamping. This is one of the first techniques that I learned when I began stamping almost 18 years ago.  I’m using one of the small hearts included in the stamp set …

Now we’re going to create a focal point on our card.  You’ve got your paper cutter so we are going to cut a 2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Whisper White to stamp on.  I figured out the dimensions after placing my stamps on the block.  I use my grid paper to align my stamps and determine the size of carstock I need to stamp on.

Adding both stamps on one block is a great way to get perfect placement each time you stamp.  I do however ink my stamps differently.  I flip my block upside down and ink the stamp by tap, tap, tapping the ink pad onto the block … It is much easier to see where and how much ink you are placing on your stamp images!

When your ink is applied properly and evenly you will get a sharper, crisper image … and because you can see where you are inking your stamp (and you don’t “PUSH” stamps into the ink) you won’t get that inky mess on your blocks!

Now that our “focal point” is stamped, we are going to back (or mat) it with the beautiful Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheet which you can get for FREE with a qualifying purchase during our Sale-A-Bration!

To finish off my card and attach the “stamped focal point” … I used our Stampin’ Dimensionals to add some dimension to the card. These are a must have in any basic stampers (or advanced stamper) stampin’ tool kit.

As I reflect on this past year I don’t think I could have chosen a more fitting greeting; Meant to Be, because being a part of the Stampin’ Up! family was truly “meant to be”.

Thank you for joining me today and for being a part of my family of stamping friends ~ Stop back tomorrow as I take it up to the next level of stamping.

PS.  You are welcome to join my family of Star’s anytime … and during Sale-A-Bration, they are offering an amazing package when you join this journey of stamping, friendship and fun.

Today’s Stampin’ Supply List: Please note that the “Meant to Be” stamp set is not available until January 3rd.

Simply Sunday: Starts with Heart

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I want to share with you another card from the Meant to Be stamp set … but, I will be starting from the beginning.  It’s a place we have all been and a place I want to help others begin their journey in the art of stamping.

At our November OnStage event, Stampin’ Up! challenged us to “share” the art of stamping “from the beginning” … Paper, Ink, and Stamps! So today’s card was made to meet that challenge #simplestamping. So let’s begin at the start …

I think that one of the easiest places to begin is with a stamp set you love, and some ink, and paper … if your new to stamping you could use the Note Cards & Envelopes in Whisper White or Very Vanilla.  Or you could create your own “card size” bases and purchase the Medium size envelopes – a nice cost savings.  Don’t forget a block … I suggest size “D” for the Meant to Be stamp set.

You will begin with the 8-1/2″ x 11″ Whisper White cardstock and the Stampin’ Trimmer … this is a must have in any paper crafters stampin’ space.

With your cardstock in a horizontal position (the 11″ side) … place it into your trimmer, align it against the raised edge (it is the dark line next to the paper) and the 5-1/2″ mark on the trimmer (right side). Then lay your ruler down and slide the cutting blade (dark slider) down the ruler.  Just fold in half and your have a regular size card base!!  The light colored slider is for scoring!

Now it’s time to stamp!  The Meant to Be stamp set is in the NEW Cling backing and will hold “tightly” to your blocks. Once you’ve placed your stamp onto the block … tap, tap, tap into the ink, we’re using Lovely Lipstick!  Do not “push” your stamp into the ink pad, the ink is at the top and the pad is softer than the “old style” pads.

I began at the bottom and stamped my border first …. I did this so I would have a better placement of my heart and greeting.  You will notice that the border coordinates with the heart I used.  If you’re lovin’ hearts, there are so many different styles in this set and has coordinating framelits dies.

No dies today though because we are focusing on stampers who are just starting out.  And what better way than to “Start with Heart”.  Stampin’ Up! had a Convention years ago who’s theme was “Starts With Heart” … I truly believe that.  I can’t tell you how many amazing people I have met while on my stampin’ journey … it’s Incredible!

Thank you for taking time out of your Sunday to join me today, and make sure you follow along this week as I “step it up” each day!! The transformations will be fun to watch.

Enjoy your Sunday ~

Today’s Stampin’ Supply List: Please note that the “Meant to Be” stamp set is not available until January 3rd.
