The Retiring Awash with Beauty Designer Paper & Making Beautiful Cards …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I had to share my “Handy Cutting Guide” Video using the retiring Awash with Beauty Designer paper. Take one 12 x 12 sheet of Designer paper and turned it into 8 beautiful cards. Today I will be showing you step by step how I did my cutting with a quick video! Then you will get to see the four remaining cards.

Don’t you love how simple that is … and this is perfect for creating multiple cards in a short period of time. My first card I kept very simple ….

Basic White cardbase with an 5-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ Balmy Blue mat. My greeting comes from the Paradise Palms stamp set (Retiring) and is punched with the Double Oval punch.

The second card …

Same dimensions on this card, however I used a Granny Apple green mat and Polished Pink ink, cardstock and ribbon. Don’t you just LOVE coordination!!! I brought in the Layering Circle dies (Retiring) to my sentiment and then added the Iridescent Rhinestones.

The third card is stepped up a bit …

I used the Stitched Greenery die (Retiring) to create texture and a cool background for my floral piece … I matted the designer paper with Polished Pink and then a Granny Apple Green background. My granddaughters love this color combination. I also used the Iridescent Rhinestones on this card. My sentiment … that comes from the Happiness Abounds.

For my fourth and last card I wanted to show you that you can stamp directly onto the designer paper …

I also stamped directly onto the card base to create some depth and interest to the card. The leaves come from the Happiness Abounds as does the greeting. The mat and cardbase are Merry Merlot (Retiring)… it truly changes the look of the card and gives it a beautiful deep look. I completed my card with the white ribbon and Brass Butterflies.

My purpose for sharing this with you, is to inspire you to cut that beautiful designer paper AND how to take one 12 x 12 sheet of Designer paper and turned it into 8 beautiful cards.

Thank you so much for joining me today ~

Celebrating National Pink Day with a Card!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Did you know it was National Pink Day? Well there is no better way to celebrate than to share a card with your friends! My card today is made with Polished Pink and the Awash in Beauty Designer Series paper. A simple layout but oh so cute!

The card base is Polished Pink and cut at 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and folded in half. The Basic Black mat is 4″ x 5-1/4″ while the designer paper was trimmed 1/8″ to allow just a little black to show.

I used the Gingham Ribbon and dyed it using the Polished Pink Stampin’ Blend … just simply run the painting tip (larger one) along the ribbon! Then I stamped my greeting from the Lovely You stamp set and punched it out using the Dual Oval Punch.

Don’t you love the dimension and texture on this card!! I popped up the greeting with the Stampin’ Dimensionals and the added the in-color gems … in Polished Pink to highlight the greeting.

The Awash in Beauty Designer Paper makes cardmaking an easy task … and fun when you add the special touches of dyed ribbon and a little bling. Happy National Pink Day!!

Thank you so much for sharing a part of your day with me! I truly appreciate your time … if you haven’t yet, make sure you “follow” my blog for daily inspiration.

Have a Happy National Pink Day~

Making Cute Cards from Scraps!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’m going to show you a really cute card from the scraps left over from the Awash in Beauty Designer paper that I used on the last three cards … I still have four more to show you
after today!! Crazy right!

This card reminds me of my friend Mary … she always is posting pictures of her pretty kitties and her cute puppy, so this is in honor of all of you with four legged children!

I used the reverse side of the floral image on that sheet and loved the pattern … the cute little kitty relaxing in the chair comes from the Sit Stay Relax stamp set found in the Hostess Section of the new Annual Catalog. This is an exclusive stamp set created just for our Host/Hostesses.

You can get this by hosting your own party (in home or virtual … I do both) or if you place a qualifying order. I would also like to invite you to my MYSTERY HOSTESS PARTY this weekend on my Linda’s Stampin’ Escape Facebook page. More details to follow.

The Blushing Bride card base is 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ then scored & folded at 4-1/4″. The Awash in Beauty designer paper is cut (3X) to measure 1″ x 5-1/8″ and are secured to a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White. The image was stamped onto Basic White using Blushing Bride ink and covered in Wink of Stella. I finished it with Crumb Cake ink.

If you’re not the one who has these cute pets hanging out at your house, you have a friend who does! Just think, you can make this cute card with scraps. Thanks for stopping by!

Three Quick & Easy Cards

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’m back with more Quick & Easy Cards from that same sheet of paper that I shared with you yesterday … Click Here to View! Don’t forget …. over the next few days I will be sharing “how to” make 8 beautiful “easy to make” cards from one sheet of designer paper … the Awash in Beauty Designer paper.

The layouts for all three cards are similar of coarse but the designer paper gives it a different look. I’ve also chose to use different colored card bases so you can see what a difference that can make on your card as well. Let’s take a look at the Granny Apple Green …

Wow! The Granny Apple Green really makes the greenery in the design POP!! I also decided to use the Double Oval punch for my greeting and the greeting comes from the Lighthouse Point stamp set. I added a bit of the White Frayed Ribbon which I cut the width in half.

My next card highlights the Merry Merlot in the Awash in Beauty Designer paper by using it as my card base ….

The card base is 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ then scored & folded at 4-1/4″ on all three of my cards. The Awash in Beauty designer paper and the inside piece of Basic White both measure 4″ x 5-1/4″. I just used scraps for my greetings, and I used the same one as the last card. I die cut the greeting using the Layering Circle dies and added a ribbon to complete the card.

If you look at my three cards together you will see the pattern of the paper ….

I did add the Iridescent Rhinestones to all three cards. Don’t you just love these Quick & Easy Flower Cards. Thanks for joining me today!

Simply Sunday: Easy Flower Card

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

If you are looking for Easy Flower Cards that will rock someone’s socks off … I’ve got just what you need! Over the next few days I will be sharing “how to” make 8 beautiful “easy to make” cards from one sheet of designer paper … the Awash in Beauty Designer paper.

I invite you to hang out with me this week while I go through how to create those 8 cards …. even beginner stampers can make these beauties!! Let’s begin with today’s card.

Oh yes … these beautiful paper with it’s watercolor look is where I’m going to start. I love the color pallet used in this design; Mossy Meadow, Merry Merlot, Polished Pink, Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green and Balmy Blue. Just like in nature … the colors abound!

I choose to use the Balmy Blue as my card base to pull out the blue in the background. You can use any greetings you have on hand, mine comes from the Positive Thoughts (retired…sorry) stamp set.

My Balmy Blue card base is 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ then scored & folded at 4-1/4″. The Awash in Beauty designer paper and the inside piece of Basic White both measure 4″ x 5-1/4″. I just used scraps for my greetings, and size will depend on which greeting you use. I finished off my card with the fun Iridescent Rhinestones.

I think you will love creating with this Easy Flower Card pattern, and I know your friends will love the colorful bouquet you sent them. Have a wonderful day!
