Delicate Dahlias & Coloring Vellum

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’m so excited to share this fun and simple technique. Today we are coloring our Heat Embossed Vellum … it is so simple and fun to do. I’ll be sharing a video along with 2 cards that I created using this technique.

Let’s begin with the video … it is a replay of my Facebook LIVE last night. You can also find it on YouTube along with all my technique and tip videos.

Wasn’t that easy … and just think, you can use any color you want!! You can also use any stamped images that your heart desires. The Delicate Dahlias will disappear on October 1st, 2021.

The Delicate Dahlias set is FREE right now in our Sale-a-bration catalog with a $50 purchase from any catalog! Here is the card that I created during the video ….

My next card is the one in which I embossed the Dahlia in silver and colored with our New Polished Pink In-Color. I love the way this turned out … remember I’m using the “backside” of the embossed image so I decided to use the Soft Succulent pattern from the Pansy Petals Designer paper because it coordinates beautifully.

As on the first card, I added texture with the Painted Texture embossing folder and then on this card I accented it with the Highland Heather cardstock. I added the Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon to tie into the designer paper … and to pose as “leaves” to my flower.

I also used the beautiful 2021-23 In Color Jewels on my cards … the Polished Pink on our first card, and the Soft Succulent on the second.

I hope you enjoyed the video and the cards, and don’t forget … Sale-a-bration ends tomorrow.

Thank you for joining me today, and last night if you caught this LIVE!

Here is a list of the products I used on my cards. You may click on any one for more information on the product, or to begin shopping so you can start making these adorable cards. Thank you.

Thank You Dahlias …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a pretty card that showcases the Delicate Dahlias in Fresh Freesia. It’s such a soft delicate color for these pretty flowers and creates a warm “thank you” for your recipient.

The dahlias are stamped multiple times on the Basic White cardstock … years ago this technique was common because the gorgeous designer papers you see now days, just weren’t there so we created our own backgrounds. Here we took it a step further and used it to showcase the flowers.

The card needed a come texture so I used the “Brick & Mortor” Embossing Folder behind my flowers … it reminds you of a lovely summer garden.

The greeting comes from the amazing Welcoming Woods stamp set (LOVE this one!!) It has so many nice greetings with a mixture of fonts … they look so pretty! I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies for my greeting … I die cut out the Fresh Freesia and then cut the white piece out with my cutter, and the greeting was stamped in the coordinating Fresh Freesia ink.

To finish off my card I wanted to keep the soft look of the card so I added the White Glitter Organdy ribbon… who doesn’t want a touch of sparkle with the soft flow of the ribbon. Then I added three Opal Rounds placed around the greeting …

We still have a few days left … well 2 to get your hands on the Delicate Dahlia stamp set. I am completing my class up this week so when you purchase through me, and choose the Dahlia set, I will send you an invite to a private Facebook page where I will have video’s and PDF for additional Dahlia cards!!

Here is a card I had shared prior using the distinktive stamps in this set …. don’t they look real? It really brings the dahlias to life … I wanted you to see how the two different large dahlias in the stamp set looked.

Hope you enjoyed today’s cards and I thank you hanging out with me today. Join me tonight on my Facebook LIVE to see a fun and easy technique using the Delicate Dahlias!

Delicate Dahlias …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have two cards, the video and the details for my Delicate Dahlias class. Does FREE * FREE equal a WIN * WIN?!! I would hope so 🙂 You can get the Delicate Dahlias stamp set for FREE during Sale-a-bration, and when you purchase enough to get yours … You will get a FREE class from me!

The Class Includes:

  • You will be sent an invitation to join a private Facebook Classroom where all of the information, tips and more will be posted.

  • You will also have access to a video for each of the projects.

Here is the replay of last nights Facebook LIVE … I also have both cards to share with you today as well.

My first card was done in Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie … sounds yummy doesn’t it! The tips shared in the video really helps in the alignment of the two step technique.

You’ll notice that I’ve changed a few things from the video. I noticed that my greeting was a bit crooked … don’t you hate when that happens!! So I just stamped it on another piece of paper and punched the ends like I did on the Cherry Cobbler card coming next.

I also used my Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend to color my Opal Rounds. I also stamped some leaves and added them to the card … wow, it really makes the colors pop!

The distinktive stamps in this set really bring the dahlias to life …

I used the Scalloped Contours dies to create the background, and the Lovely Labels punch for my greeting. I didn’t want to get “too fancy” and take away from those stunning dahlias!!

I couldn’t get my “name game” to spin my winner here on my blog, so I’ll be sure to spin next week … I don’t want to miss my rewards to my loyal LIVE fans!! You guys rock!!

Hope you enjoyed today’s cards and all the tips shared in the video!! I thank you hanging out with me today.
