Christmas Snowflakes Cards …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

We’re another day closer to the weekend and hmmm … Christmas! It’s sneaking up fast and I have been busy creating for my Fall Holiday Stamping Retreat, so Christmas cards are second nature to me right now.

Many of us would love to send out hand-made Christmas cards but do not have a lot of time, so I’m here to help with an … oh so cute, and quick & easy card you can recreate in no time at all …

Two simple colors of cardstock; Basic White and Balmy Blue. I used the Time of Giving Stamp Set (now retired) for the snowflake swirls inside the card and to decorate my envelope.

I used the Wintry 3-D Embossing Folder on the Balmy Blue for both my cards. Then the Wonderful Snowflakes … they are iridescent so the color just dances across them.

If you’re looking for just a little more color … you can use any one of our Stampin’ Blends and color your Snowflakes … and best of all, that iridescence shines right through.

You can create these pretty snowflake cards with ease and in no time at all. It’s a card base with a contrasting piece that measures 3″ x 4-1/4″. I hope you try out this simple layout.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. A simple layout so you can create your Christmas Cards with ease … fun for the whole family!

Enjoy your day ~

Simply Sunday: Simply Elegant Hello Card

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

A Happy Sunday to you … Today I have a stunning card for you created with the Simply Elegant Designer Series paper. This floral pattern is done in bronze, gold and silver foil.

I accented the silver by adding additional silver foil paper and embossing it with the “Thanks & Hello” Embossing folder … I used the Hello. It adds a beautiful texture and greeting at the same time.

I’m not much for raw edges so I added the Metallic Mesh Ribbon which adds even more sparkle to our foiled card. I used a black card base to draw the black from the designer paper.

Creating stunning cards highlighted with the pretty foil patterns is so easy when using “Simply Elegant” … it’s all in the name!

Thank you for dropping by and checking out my blog today. A simple card that is Simply Elegant! Have a great day ~

Split Circle Technique Video

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today we’re going to explore the “Split Circle” technique … you’ll discover how easy it is to create this fun and unique paper design. I will be sharing the replay of my Facebook Live which shows you step by step how to create this card, then I’ll be sharing another card I’m sure you’ll enjoy just as much.

Here is the short video …

Are you ready to try this fun and easy technique? The next card is a bit more fun … I decided to use the Ombre Specialty paper, each circle was cut from a different section of the Ombre paper so you got the full effect.

I’ve decided to use the same embossing folder as I did on my first card, this piece of Basic White was cut 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ and was mounted onto a 5″ x 3-3/4″ piece of the Ombre Glimmer paper. I also used the same stamp set for my greeting which I stamped with Gorgeous Grape onto my Basic White banner.

Before mounting the card front onto our Highland Heather card base, I tied a White Glitter bow onto the left side. I couldn’t resist adding the beautiful 2021-2023 In-Color Jewels.

Even though we used the same technique on both cards, just the little touch of changing out how we add the greeting can make a big difference in the way the card looks. Fun, fun, fun!

Thank you for hanging out with me today!! Inspiration has spoken, are you following the calling?

Have an amazing day ~

Sending Thanks / Guest Stamper: Rita K.

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’d like to share a beautiful card I received from my sister Rita and to wish you a Wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.

Rita used the Simply Elegant designer paper for her slim line card. She also used; very vanilla and basic gray card-stock, rectangle stitched dyes, seasonal layers thinlets, holiday rhinestone basic jewels, and curvy verses stamp set.

There is nothing better than receiving a beautiful card in the mail, unless you are the one creating and sending it… you know it’s going to make someone’s day. I think many of us will be working on cards soon (unless you’re sending them out this weekend)!

I would love to wish all of you a very safe and wonderful Thanksgiving. Enjoy time with your friends and family.

Thank you so very much for stopping by to share a moment with me on this Thanksgiving day.

Enjoy your day ~

Simply Elegant in Copper

Hello Stampin’ Friends & Happy Saturday!!

Today I have a pretty card to share with you that I created using the Simply Elegant Suite! You can find this on pages 68 & 69 of the Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog (Let me know if you need one!) I give my customers a FREE Catalog each time they come out.

Let’s begin with our card base which is our Basic Gray … I then added one of the simple designs from the Simply Elegant Specialty Designer paper. This designer paper has Gold, Copper and/or Silver Foils … it’s just stunning!

I knew I wanted to use the designer paper with the beautiful flowers on … but just the flower, so I fussy cut one out! This was layered onto the pretty little tag punched from the coordinating Elegant Tag Punch (Part of the Bundle) also punched from the Basic Gray cardstock. It needed a bit more … so I added the Copper Foil but embossed it!

Look at the beautiful layers …

You can see that I used the Stampin’ Dimensionals to create a lot of depth to this card. To bring the silver in from my floral piece, I added the Silver Metallic Pearls … It adds a bit more texture to the surrounding “focal point” – the flower and draws your eye around the card.

A simple layout with beautiful results. Give this simple layout a try on your next card … each one will look different, depending on the punches, dies and designer paper you choose. And that my friends … is the fun part!!

Thank you for joining me today. Have a wonderful weekend!!

Simply Sunday: Love Stories

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

If you’re looking for a love story, then you’ll find one in today’s card featuring the beautiful Simply Elegant suite. The suite includes the Elegantly Said stamp set with coordinating Elegant Tag Punch, and the stunning Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Paper…. and I will be using all three.

We begin with this pretty pattern of designer paper in white and gold… so elegant. I matted this onto a piece of Gold Foil paper to really bring the gold out.

The card base is Basic White and our beautiful card front was mounted directly to it.

The next step was to create the greeting … This was done by stamping the verse with the VersaMark ink and then heat embossing with our Gold Embossing powder. The raised verse in Gold looks so elegant and pretty …

Next, our greeting was punched with the Elegant Tag punch on both ends. This is done by sliding the cardstock through the back of the punch. I added the Gold Pearls from the Metallic Pearls collection at each end of the punch.

Lastly, I popped up my greeting with the Stampin’ Dimensionals to create some depth and texture. A simple card to create yet so stunning!

I thank you for taking time out of your Sunday to visit with me, it is appreciated and I hope you enjoyed this simply elegant card with celebrates love stories.

Have a wonderful day ~
