The Retiring Awash with Beauty Designer Paper & Making Beautiful Cards …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I had to share my “Handy Cutting Guide” Video using the retiring Awash with Beauty Designer paper. Take one 12 x 12 sheet of Designer paper and turned it into 8 beautiful cards. Today I will be showing you step by step how I did my cutting with a quick video! Then you will get to see the four remaining cards.

Don’t you love how simple that is … and this is perfect for creating multiple cards in a short period of time. My first card I kept very simple ….

Basic White cardbase with an 5-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ Balmy Blue mat. My greeting comes from the Paradise Palms stamp set (Retiring) and is punched with the Double Oval punch.

The second card …

Same dimensions on this card, however I used a Granny Apple green mat and Polished Pink ink, cardstock and ribbon. Don’t you just LOVE coordination!!! I brought in the Layering Circle dies (Retiring) to my sentiment and then added the Iridescent Rhinestones.

The third card is stepped up a bit …

I used the Stitched Greenery die (Retiring) to create texture and a cool background for my floral piece … I matted the designer paper with Polished Pink and then a Granny Apple Green background. My granddaughters love this color combination. I also used the Iridescent Rhinestones on this card. My sentiment … that comes from the Happiness Abounds.

For my fourth and last card I wanted to show you that you can stamp directly onto the designer paper …

I also stamped directly onto the card base to create some depth and interest to the card. The leaves come from the Happiness Abounds as does the greeting. The mat and cardbase are Merry Merlot (Retiring)… it truly changes the look of the card and gives it a beautiful deep look. I completed my card with the white ribbon and Brass Butterflies.

My purpose for sharing this with you, is to inspire you to cut that beautiful designer paper AND how to take one 12 x 12 sheet of Designer paper and turned it into 8 beautiful cards.

Thank you so much for joining me today ~

Amazing Silhouettes Card in Watercolor

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m sharing the last of the 3 images in the Amazing Silhouettes stamp set. I’m using a touch of watercoloring with this one. I began by stamping the leaf image on to one of the watercolor patterns in the Dainty Flowers Designer papers in Old Olive. Yes, I stamped my image onto designer paper.

I added water to the middle size Water Painter and I used it to activate the ink and give it a more watercolor look. Then I added a little more ink to the image using the Water Painter giving it more depth of color…..

Once dry, I added a Mossy Meadow mat to it and wrapped the corner with the 3/4″ White Frayed Ribbon and then some of the natural Bakers Twine. These add so much texture to the card and create a framed edge for our foliage.

Using another pattern from the Dainty Flowers I cut into two pieces and used one side to highlight the green and the other to highlight the freesia that is found on the original piece that I stamped on. I layered these three pieces together and mounted them onto my cardfront.

I used Mossy Meadow for my card front and then embossed it with the Stitched Greenery Die. It gives the project some texture and a touch of greenery! You’ll love how the intricate detail dresses up the card perfectly.

No bling on this card because I wanted to keep it more natural. I added the card front to my base in Mossy Meadow … I love layering color on color, it’s such soft and subtle look.

Hope you enjoyed the three different looks / techniques that showcased the Amazing Silhouettes. I have to “Thank” my friend Karen who booked a workshop and asked to see this stamp set. It totally changed my mind … I love it! It’s unique and lends itself to many different techniques.

Thanks for popping in today, I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!

Stitched Greenery Die Doubles Down!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Happy St. Patrick Day … The luck of the Irish are with us because I’ve got two cards to share with you today. One highlights one of our favorite products; Wink of Stella! It was a suggestion from Beth, one of my Facebook LIVE viewers! I thought using Stella was a great idea, so I tried it.

Let’s take a look at it now …

The Wink of Stella just adds that subtle shimmer that creates magic on the card … I love it, and when you pair it with the soft color of the Fresh Freesia it just says … WOW.

The simplicity of the card just adds to the magic of this card … my greeting comes from the Flowering Tulips bundle and I used the Elegant Punch to create the focal point. Add a pretty bow and In Color gems and your card is done.

My next card highlights the die in a totally different way …

This technique creates a subtle statement but why wouldn’t we want to emboss our designer paper too!! It looks soo cool …. and adds that texture! I kept the same layout as the first card but this time added a piece of the “flip side” of the designer paper.

The greeting also comes from the Flowering Tulips bundle but was punched from the Label Me Lovely punch, and again I added some of those beautiful In Color gems!

So …. which technique is your favorite today? Do you like the Wink of Stella on the embossed White Cardstock or you prefer the embossed designer paper? Do we call it embossed or pierced? Not sure … but it’s pretty!!

Thank you so much for joining me again today. Enjoy the day!

Tulips & Stitched Greenery Die Video

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I am happy to share an amazing die that I have fallen in love with along with two cards highlighting the cool look that you get… It’s the Stitched Greenery die. I’m teaming it up with the beautiful Flowering Tulips bundle. I’m having quite a bit of fun playing with this bundle.

Let’s take a look at the video now …

Dimensions:

  • Card Base / Basic Black : 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” then Score at 4-1/4” and Mat: 4-1/8″ x 2-7/8″
  • Cardstock #2: Pear Pizzazz: 4″ x 5-1/4”
  • Cardstock #3: Basic White 4″ x 2-3/4″

The depth and detail of the Stitiched Greenery die is nothing short of stunning, and with all of the beautiful floral stamp sets and bundles, I believe this to be a staple in anyone’s stamping room.

You can just run it through your die cutting & emboss machine and leave it as is … or you can add a touch of color directly to the die as I did on my next card ….

On this card I patted the Evening Evergreen ink pad onto the die and then ran it through the Die cutting & embossing machine. It is a very subtle touch of color but still adds the texture as before. I’m hooked!!

Stop back tomorrow and the next couple of days as I share even more ideas on how you can maximize the use of this die. I know once you get it … YOU will love it! I have the link for you below.

Have fun creating and thank you for hanging out with me today.
