Throw Back Thursday … Stampin’ Style!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’d like to share with you cards I’ve created with the fabulous “Timeless Talk” stamp set. This stamp set is on the retirement list … you know I’ll be sad to see it go, it was my favorite stamp set when it was introduced.

Some inventions are timeless no matter how many generations go by and how much technology changes. They may not be iPods or cell phones, but these clear mount images are too cool not to love Set Quantity: 7. “Timeless Talk” first appeared in 2014-2015 Annual Catalog.

So come with me through a walk back in time and enjoy the following cards…

Thanks so much for joining me and reminiscing over this fun and fabulous stamp set.

A Happy Birthday Note … Quick & Easy!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Burrrrrrrrrr… it is cold again this week.  This has been a “heck” of a winter!  Hope you’re all holding up … even those of you in the 60 to 70 degree Arizona warmth. (tee hee)  We’re jealous!

Today I’m going to share with you a simple layout that will work with any Designer Series Paper and Stamp set.  Of course, I chose one of my favorites… you guessed it, I’m using the Timeless Talk Stamp Set and the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper.

000_0720

What a fantastic Birthday card!  Gender neutral … that is always good when we are creating cards.  A bit nostalgic, and I guess that is what draws me to this stamp set.

This sweet stamp set should be a must have in everyone’s collection … I love that the greetings are included in this set.  It includes a “Thanks” … a “Hello” … and of course the “Happy Birthday”.  Seems to me that rounds it out pretty good.

This card is so simple to make, I don’t have a lot of instructions.  The only thing that I forgot to add to my list was the “Ovals Collection Framelits”.  You can find them on page 186 of the annual catalog & Idea book (the big one) or click on the link.

I must say that I do use the Black StazOn ink pad whenever I stamp black images.  I think it works the best.

I added a few pearls just to jazz up the card a bit, and used my “Sharpie” marker to color them black.  You “MUST” use a Sharpie / permanent marker so that it does not rub off.

Stay warm … have a wonderful weekend and …

Have a great day!

When stampin’ this card for my friend, because we have known each other for ………. we’ll enough about that, I was feeling a bit nostalgic.  So I went to my “go to” nostalgic stamp set “Timeless Talk” – page 19 of our big catalog.

Of course I’m going to pair it up with the “Modern Medley Designer Series paper.  I know that I have a few of you hooked on that paper.  I love it all … which means you use it “all”… no waste!

Here I have made a quick banner out of the musical note paper and added another strip of DSP for a contrast.

I popped up the stamped section with our “Stampin’ Dimensionals” and to finish it off …. HERE COMES A STAMPIN’ TIP:  I used my black Sharpie® marker to color my pearls.   Oooooooooooh … I just love the way that looks!

Now how sweet and simple is this card!  Easy to make for your BFF (Best Friend Forever).  Celebrate today and call a friend.

I’ve shared several of cards using that set; You can view these just by clicking on the name ... “Sweet Music” , “Simply Timeless” and “Hello There“.

I’ll be back with more stampin’ tips and stamped projects …

Have an awesome weekend,

Sweet Music …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today is a quick and simple post for a quick and simple card.  Inspired by the group of ladies who participated in my “Timeless Talk” class, I’m sharing another card using the paper design they suggested.

000_0105

They thought that this pattern from the Modern Medley Designer Series paper would work great with this stamp set … so here it is.  I think they are right, don’t you?

With a little help from my BigShot and the Circle Collection Frame-lits, I highlighted the phonograph.  This sweet but simple card would work nicely for a birthday or just to “send a note” to your friend.

I added a few banners from scrap pieces of the Modern Medley paper and tied it all together with the beautiful “Crochet Trim”.  Everything you need to make this card can be found in our current catalog.

Here is the list of ingredients to make the card:  You may click on the item numbers and it will take you to the catalog page.

SIMPLY TIMELESS …

Hello Stampin’ Friends!

I can’t believe it’s Friday already, however I am sure there are some of you who are sayings … “It’s Finally Friday”.   Time seems to be flying by, which brings me to today’s post.

Last night I hosted a stamp class using my favorite new stamp set in the Idea Book and Catalog… Timeless Talk.  I love the nostalgic look of this set and have probably said so a million times.  The class was based upon 3 simple ingredients.

000_0087

First and foremost is the “Timeless Talk” stamp set (Wood – 126605 / Clear – 126607) found on page 19 of the catalog.  Second is the “Modern Medley” Designer Series Paper (126926) that is on page 164.  And the last ingredient to the class was the Basic Pearls (119247) on page 171.

I held true to the coordinating colors of the “Modern Medley” Designer Series Paper … Basic Black and Very Vanilla.  I also added a splash of Real Red on a couple of the cards.  On this card I added the “Real Red” (119247) Stitched Ribbon.  This card really reminds me of yesteryear… when days were calmer, and more relaxed.

000_0091

We had a nice time in the class and talked about how this precious stamp set brings back memories.  We also had a good laugh as we discussed “party lines” …  something kids now days would not understand.   And phone numbers were not as long as your social security number.  Our old number was 4-7725! THE GOOD OL’ DAYS!

If you are interested, I would be available to host this class for you and your friends … just contact me ( lindaluvs2stamp@aol.com ).

Enjoy your day  … and remember, the weekend is almost here!

Hello there!

Hello there stampers …

Today I want to share a card with you that I whipped together so I could announce an upcoming class!  It is my favorite new stamp set in the catalog … Timeless Talk.

000_0053

I love the nostalgic look of this stamp set.  I’ve always loved the old phonographs, my grandma and grandpa actually had a Victrola.  Oh memories (hmmm… might have to do a scrapbook page too).

126607S

My “TIMELESS TALK” class will be held at my Stampin’ Studio on Thursday, August 15th at 6pm.  I have the details listed on my calendar, and will be sending out the “Upcoming Class” list to those on my e-mail list.  Click on the “my calendar” to view.

The picture of the card does not show the dimensions (layering) of the actual card.  The “Modern Medley” (126926) Designer Series paper and the Real Red mat behind it, were cut out with the “Ovals Collection (129381) Framelits, then popped up with the Stampin’ Dimensionals to frame that cute phone!

Don’t you miss those kind of phones?  I had to laugh… someone had just told me the other day they wished they had the old style phones because you can’t slam down the receiver of a cell phone!  I just smiled … I didn’t ask.  But, it’s true! lol

000_0053

For the greeting, I cut that out and then added the stampin’ dimensionals to pop that up too.  It just gives it so much dimension.  And you know me, I couldn’t stop there … I just had to embellish it a bit further with the pearls.  They are always a nice touch and so inexpensive to use.

Last but not least, I added a scrap piece of the designer paper inside the card to match the front … why let it go to waste!  I often use the scraps to coordinate the envelopes (that’s cute).  Just make sure you adhere it down well so it doesn’t get caught in those automated sorters at the post office.

Pretty simple card to make, but it is so cute.  Sure to bring a smile to someone’s face.  And isn’t that why we make cards.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card, and that you can make it to my class … I know you are just going to fall in love with those cards.

Have a great day and share a “hello” with someone!
