Two-Step Technique

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m going to share another card and a video using the Floating & Fluttering Bundle. I will show you how to use the Two-step Stamping technique with a minimum of ink pads!! This is a great tip for new stampers who don’t have it all … yet 😉

Join me for this short video, hopefully you’ll catch a few more tips and techniques to use in your stamping …

Oh my gosh … don’t you just love those butterflies! The dies were designed to make these butterflies look like they are floating, and if you didn’t catch it in the video, I have a close up here …

The colors I used were the Highland Heather, Calypso Coral and Coastal Cabana … if you want to pair these colors to create a darker butterfly you could add Gorgeous Grape, Terracatta Tile and Bermuda Bay.

You could always add a touch of color to the edge of the wings like I did in the video. Either was these butterflies are quite stunning …

I hope you will join me for my Butterfly Class … you will learn even more about these butterflies. I have a private Facebook page for the class, there you will find even more samples!! Join us …

You can order your bundle by CLICKING HERE … once I receive notification, I will contact you with more information and a link to the Class Room.

Thank you so very much for joining me today. I hope you have a beautiful day ~

Simply Sunday: You’re So Cool

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Happy Superbowl Sunday to you! My team went out in the last game, so I’m out too … I’ll be in my stamping room, staying warm! It’s a whoppin’ -10 degrees this morning with a windchill of -29!! Burrrrr … So I thought today was the perfect day to pull out the Popsicles because there is NO chance of them melting!! lol

The Popsicle stamps are a two-step stamps which makes it fun and easy to create the most delicious flavors you can image …

My favorites are Lemon/Lime: Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green, then Gorgeous Grape which is stamped off on the top and full ink on the bottom, and then my Strawberry Lemonade; Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight …. YUMMY! I know a few in my house who love Blue Raspberry so I’ll have to keep making Popsicles!

I used the sentiments from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set and stamped them in Gorgeous Grape, which was also used to mat my card front ….

Wanted to jazz up my flavorful popsicles a little more with the glint of sparkle by adding the Opal Rounds to my card. I used my Stampin’ Blends to color the Opal Rounds … it’s so cool to know that you can have these cute embellishments in “any” color you want.

The popsicles were so fun and easy to create and will make quite an impression on anyone who receives this card.

Thank you for sharing part of your Sunday with me. Stay warm and have a great day ~

ThrowBack Thursday: Blooming Birthday

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I would like to share a post from August of 2014 … It’s still as relevant as it was two years ago. This is a sweet and simple birthday card that will bring a smile to anyone who receives it.  I used the new “Flower Patch” stamp set!  This is one of our Photopolymer sets, and makes the two-step stamping super simple because of the clear images.

I have a video for you to view that highlights the “Flower Patch” stamp set …

My card base color is the new In-Color Mossy Meadow along with the Whisper White which truly highlights to ink colors we will be using on our card.

The flower was created by stamping our largest image first, in the lightest color: Crisp Cantaloupe.  I then layers the Calypso Coral next, and completed the flower with the Cajun Craze… and topped it off with a pearl.

STAMPIN’ TIP:  The leaves were added behind the flower by creating a mask.  Stamp the largest flower image on a piece of scrap paper and cut it out.  I always cut inside the line.  Then place it over the flower and stamp your leaves … it gives the appearance they are behind the flower!

It’s been a while since I’ve used a two-step stamping set and forgot how fast you can create a beautifully layered, colorful card.  I added the Daffodil Delight flowers in the background to create another pop of color.

There is no longer a bundle available as this was an earlier post.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and video!

Happy Birthday ~
