Today’s layout is similar to yesterday’s yet unveils a new dimension of beauty. The designer paper was used as my backdrop with a Lemon Lime Twist mat, setting the perfect canvas for our floral masterpiece. Your eyes are effortlessly guided by the graceful diagonal stripe, leading you to the heart of the composition—the bouquet of vibrant zinnias.

What truly sets today’s card apart is the meticulous coloring technique employed. The zinnias, oh, the zinnias! They have been meticulously colored with Berry Burst, Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie with the centers in Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends for the leaves, infusing them with a bold and layered allure. This technique elevates the stamped images to a whole new level, adding depth and dimension that simply mesmerizes the beholder.

Easy Card Making with the Simply Zinnia Bundle: Quick Tips for Stunning Results

The background of today’s featured card was created using the Zinnia 3-D embossing folder, adding depth and dimension to the design. This layering technique gives the card a sophisticated look, as if it took hours to create, when in reality, it was quite easy thanks to the die cuts and coloring tip.

Step Into our Annual Spring Stamping Retreat

Welcome to the recap of our annual Spring 2024 Stamping Retreat! What a delightful time we had, filled with reconnecting with old friends and forging new bonds. Let me take you through a glimpse of the experience.

As guests arrived, they were greeted not only by myself but also by a charming flower garden adorning the fireplace mantle. Each attendee had the opportunity to choose a flower to take home as a token of our time together, a beautiful reminder of the retreat’s essence.

Next, we guided our guests to their rooms for the weekend ….

After settling in, our guests were pleasantly surprised to find sweet little pillow gifts awaiting them in their rooms, a warm welcome indeed.

But the surprises didn’t end there! This year, we decided to shake things up a bit by introducing a Baked Potato Bar for dinner—a delicious departure from our usual fare, and it was a resounding hit! A “Seven Layer Salad” to lighten things up, and a sweet treat for fun.

Following our scrumptious meal, we gathered in the stamp room, where the excitement continued with fun bling and personalized bags filled with all the necessary supplies for our stamping session. Laughter and creativity filled the air as we crafted away, sharing tips and tricks with one another.

But the surprises weren’t over just yet! As the evening wound down, guests were treated to yet another pillow gift, along with an invitation to don their “happy” socks and join me in the living room for hot chocolate and delectable desserts. It was a cozy and delightful way to end the evening, surrounded by good company and even better treats.

And what better way to cap off our time together than with a playful display of Snoopy and Woodstock socks? It was a lighthearted moment that perfectly encapsulated the spirit of our retreat—joyful, whimsical, and full of laughter.

Delight in the Cheerful Daisy Card

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’d like to share a card created by one of my design team members highlighting the new Cheerful Daisy. To kick off this new bundle, I’m sharing the dimensions and instructions for this beautiful card ….

Measurements:

  • Crushed Curry:  5 ½” x 8 ½”  and  3 ¾” x 5”
  • Basic White: 4” x 5 ¼”
  • Fresh as a Daisy Designer Paper: 3” x 4 ¼”

Instructions:

  • Place the 4” x 5 ¼” Basic White cardstock in the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder and run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to add texture.
  • Wrap the Baker’s Twine around the cardstock 3 times and adhere the ends to the back of the cardstock. Take a smaller piece of twine and tie it in a knot around the 3 pieces.
  • Adhere the cardstock to the card front.
  • Adhere the Designer Paper to the 3 ¾” x 5” Crushed Curry cardstock and adhere the layers to the card.
  • Cut out 2 pieces of Basic White cardstock using the triple flower die.
  • Color the centers using a dauber with Crushed Curry ink.
  • Cut off the leaves from the triple flower.
  • Take 1 of the triple flowers apart. Adhere the individual flowers on top of the other piece using Dimensionals. Adhere all with Dimensionals.
  • Stamp the greeting on the bottom of a piece of cardstock. Cut out close to the greeting. Add the greeting to the card using Dimensionals.
