Happy Birthday Pumpkin!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

As promised … today I will share with you an alternative project from the March Paper Pumpkin. The stamps in this months kit are just too cute …

6a00e54f95df92883401b8d0eda0f7970c

I decided to turn the note card into a full card, so I used Basic Black for the base, cut the note card into 2 pieces and matted it onto Pool Party.

I wanted the “Birthday” to be my focal point so I trimmed my cardstock for the greeting down to 2-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ and stamped it in the Basic Black. I think the little stickers are so cute, so I added all 3 of the diamonds to the front. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back to pop it up and give the card some extra dimension.

000_2076

I couldn’t resist adding the cute little “You’re a Gem” stamp inside, topped off with the diamond stamped on top in Pool Party. I believe I’m going to have a lot of fun with this set.

February Paper Pumpkin Kit, Layers of Gratitude

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Got caught up in some genealogy searches today so I am quite late on my post, but as they say “better late than never”.

We hope you’ve been having fun with your February Paper Pumpkin Kit, Layers of Gratitude. You’ve seen some of my Alternative samples …

here are some fun alternate uses for the kit. Try cutting up the accordion card to make lots of little note cards, as I did here. You could also use the felt “thanks” negatives and adhere them to our Tag A Bag Gift Boxes (item # 130927). Or just have tons of fun with the incredible stamp set!

THANKS … You Make my Heart Happy!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

What did you think about yesterday’s announcement … 4 more amazing Sale-a-Bration products released just for the month of March! Click on flyer to view …

I have a cute project to share with you today! As promised … I will be using the “This Day” Project Life by Stampin’ Up! Mini Card Collection that you will find in the Sale-a-Bration catalog.

I have teamed it up with 2 great products … First, our February Paper Pumpkin and second, our newest photopolymer stamp set … “Loving Amazing You”.

The results from combining these 3 projects are a bold, fun and simple project to create! Let’s begin with the cute little box that is enclosed in the Paper Pumpkin kit …

000_2026

I simply trimmed down one of the cards from the Project Life by Stampin’ Up! Mini Card Collection – “This Day”, then stamped the envelope from the “Loving Amazing You” stamp set in Daffodil Delight and topped it off with the greeting done in Pool Party.

It’s my representation on “Sending (the envelope) good wishes your way!

The inside of the card was super simple ….

000_2030

I trimmed down the cards to 2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ and used the felt “T-H-A-N-K-S” from the Paper Pumpkin kit. I love the bright colors … it’s just so “FUN!!”. I think it looks like a party 🙂

Ohhhh … what a great thank you card to give to that special person who got you that “just what I wanted” gift.

I finished it off by adding a cute little verse to the back … the sun is just another one of the cute cards enclosed in the Card Collection. All the stamps came from the “Loving Amazing You” stamp set.

000_2031

Hope you enjoyed my cute little project as much as I had fun making it! Quick and Simple, fun and cute!

Thanks much for stopping by today.

Brighten someone’s day … just by saying “THANKS” ~

Say “THANKS” with style …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’m going to show you an alternative project that you can do with your February Paper Pumpkin.

I really meant to post earlier but last night I was not feeling up to par so I sat down on the couch and before I knew it, it was about 3 am … with all the lights and TV on! Needless to say … I shut everything off and went to bed! Must have really needed sleep … lol.

Yesterday you got to watch the Stampin’ Up! video on how to make the Filled with Gratitude project, here’s mine …

000_2012

I took the negative (or leftover) piece of felt and decided to create something with that. First, you have to cut it because it comes 2 per sheet. I used a ruler to draw a line where I wanted to cut, then used my “Craft Scissors” … it works great!

Because the felt piece is larger than a regular size card, I designed it to fit into a business size envelope! You’ll need to cut your full piece of cardstock (I used Soft Suede) down to 9-3/4” x 7-7/8” and fold in half lengthwise.

000_2016

I really wanted it to pop so I matted it with the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper! I did use Mini Glue Dots to hold the felt piece onto the glimmer paper.

I then popped up that piece with dimensionals and attached it to a piece of Pool Party and stamped “you’re the best” from the Simply Wonderful stamp set found in the Sale-a-bration catalog. The entire front was then attached to the Soft Suede.

Living a life of gratitude seems to bring more wonderful people in your life, so I try very hard to show people I appreciate them. If you have a special waitress, hairdresser or UPS man … this would be a great way to say “Thanks”!

000_2015

I’ve added a piece of Pool Party to the inside and punched a partial “Decorative Label” in the center, then trimmed the sides with the “Extra Large Oval”.

The “YOU’RE SIMPLY WONDERFUL” also comes from the Simply Wonderful stamp set found in the Sale-a-bration catalog. Once attached … just slip some cash or a gift certificate for a fun touch.

000_2012- Thanks

I appreciate that you follow my posts. Let me know if there is anything special you would like me to showcase.

Have a wonderful day …

“Layers of Gratitude”

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’d like to share with you the February Paper Pumpkin kit …

It comes with “Layers of Gratitude” stamp set, 8 accordion fold cards, 8 craft boxes, bakers twine, and 48 felt letter stickers, plus a full color instruction sheet.

000_2006

I love it … We also got 2 spots this month! Pool Party and Daffodil Delight. You will always get a minimum of 1 spot and the color never repeats itself within a 12 month calendar year. This is great because I store by spots in a plastic case and then I take them when I travel instead of hauling the big ink pads!

Everything is included that you will need to create your projects (except scissors). The idea is that you can complete the project in a half to one hour. I just love the fonts in this stamp set!

000_2005

Grab a cup of coffee, sit back and let’s watch how it’s made …

They showed the February and March kits at Leadership … sorry I missed it! But now you got to see how cute this kit is, and rumor has it … the March kit is really cute!

Love … You have my Heart

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Happy Valentine’s Day! And a happy weekend to you too!

Yesterday I promised to share with you a card that I created from the left overs in my January Paper Pumpkin kit … we really don’t like to throw anything away, do we?

My focal point will be the sheet that is left after we use up all the hearts …

000_1987_0001-2nd Day

I first cut one row off the sheet so the hearts were in a row (horizontally) and then I trimmed them to fit my Real Red mat that is behind the hearts.  I liked the “open” hearts and the end … reminds us to keep our hearts open and let love in … and out.

000_1991

The only thing that I used that was not in our kit, is the cardstock … both the “love” and the “you have my heart” stamps came in our kit. Those we keep forever! I had a couple hearts left from my kit so I stamped it and popped it up … it is the focal point that draws your eye to the card.

Your eye then follows the hearts to the greeting “you have my heart” … what a nice Valentine card, or a special card to give your significant other on your wedding day or anniversary. You can’t say it any better than … Love, you have my heart.

I love doing the projects in our Paper Pumpkin kits, but I also love to challenge myself to create something fun with the items in the kit.

Sweet Treats for my Club Members …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’d like to share with you a cute little treat that I made for each of my Club Members … they are very special to me so I used the January Paper Pumpkin and some Candyman truffles to to help me surprise them!

This is just one of the many, (see more below) I tried to make sure none of the treats in class looked alike. I was happy to see that Stampin’ Up! had added the refill kit so I had enough for all my club members and my grandkids! The refills are a great way to cost effectively purchase multiples … you don’t have to buy the entire kit, just the “consumable” contents … clips, bags, hearts, etc.

BE MINE, Valentine

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

As promised, I am going to share a card that I whipped up using 3 of yesterday’s Weekly Deals! I used the two heart punches and the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.

All you glitter lovers … if you do not have the new “Dazzling Diamonds” glimmer paper, put it on your shopping list – it goes with almost everything!

I began with a Basic Black base and my Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper. After I punched the heart border, I added the Real Red behind the glimmer paper to make the hearts pop.

000_1975

I then embossed the Valentine greeting (came from the January Paper Pumpkin) and then punched it out with the heart punch.

There are two hearts in every love story, so I added the red heart. To balance out the card, I added the Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine and tied it off in a bow.

Super simple. Hope you enjoyed.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today have a good one!

Hugs, Kisses & Valentine Wishes …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

This weekend I shared with you our January Paper Pumpkin and an alternative project you can make with the kit. So what happens when you use up all the contents of your kit? Well … one of the best things about the kit is the stamps!! You can use them over & over & over!

Today’s card is using the stamps and fun stuff you have in your stamp room. Let’s begin with the “Red Glimmer paper”, left over from Christmas and our “Stacked with Love” designer paper that we used earlier this month.

000_1959

I picked the XOXOXO paper because of the greeting I was using from the kit, and the Basic Black cardstock was the obvious choice for the base. It ties in beautifully with the designer paper and really makes our red glimmer paper pop.

I wanted to use the “Postage Stamp” punch because I thought it would be “fun” when “sending” hugs & kisses. I trimmed the center out of the glimmer paper that is behind the designer paper and used it to back my postage stamp.

I punched the center of the postage stamp so you could see more of the glimmer paper and it’s cute!

000_1963

I took my left over designer paper and added it to the inside along with the hearts … stamped in red, from the kit. This picture also gives you a great shot of how I “popped up” the postage stamp punch and greeting.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card … remember, just because the rest of the items in the kit have been used, doesn’t mean you have nothing left to play with! Your stamps will last forever 🙂

Hugs & Kisses to my Granddaughter Cassie and sister Ruthie … today is their birthday! Love you both

Thanks for coming by and …

Have a marvelous Monday!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today’s Simply Sunday is a card I created using the 2015 January Paper Pumpkin Kit! It was super simple to put together as all these fabulous components are found in the kit …

000_1957

All I added to my Valentine’s card is cardstock! Whisper White is my base and makes the the focal point (the heart) really stand out. The Real Red was embossed with the “Happy Heart” textured embossing folder from the occasions catalog.

000_1945

The tag, clip, bakers twine, heart, banners, stamps and even the ink are included. To join in on all the fun … you just need to sign up for Paper Pumpkin.
