Twinkle Twinkle … You’re My Star!!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

How have you liked the array of cards created with the Twinkle Twinkle Designer paper? Amazing … right! I actually bought it because of the “Stars” on many of the papers because my teams name is the Stars by Design! Then I found it could be used for so much more!

I have one more beautiful card to show you today, but lets start at the beginning and review what we’ve seen so far. My first card was for my granddaughters birthday … I teamed up the Twinkle Twinkle paper with the “Happy Birthday Gorgeous” stamp set and the Large Letter Framelit Dies. You can click HERE to view that post.

Of course I had to make a Baby Card with the Twinkle Twinkle paper and I way dying to try out my new “Tufted” Embossing Folder.  It is one of the 3-D Dynamic folders which gives you a beautiful deep impression. The greeting comes from the coordinating stamp set … the bundle comes with the Twinkle Builder punch (Save 10% when you buy the bundle) Click HERE to view this post.

I love the little dots in this series of paper to I teamed it up with the beautiful “Springtime Impressions” Thinlits Dies and the Stitched Framlit dies.  Butterflies always remind me of my Mom so what better greeting could I use than “love you”.  This greeting also comes from the Twinkle Twinkle Bundle … I just used my marker to color in the words “love you” and then stamped & cut them out.  You can view the post for this card HERE …just click on it.

This next card is just one of the cards that I designed for my Designer Series paper Class! I have always wanted to create a card like this (don’t know why it took me so long) because it’s simple yet it is so pretty! It showcases 3 more patterns in the Twinkle Twinkle paper … see the “stars”!! Here we used the new Detailed Trio punch with the corner rounder side.  More details can be found HERE on the original post.

And our Christmas card which I just showcased yesterday … It is truly amazing all of the different Occasions and different styles of cards you can make with this one little pack of Designer paper!

Today I’ll be sharing a card that uses the coordinating Twinkle Builder punch!! The cute little Moon with Stars punch can be used for baby cards and more! I combined the punch with the banner punch to create a fun layered look …

There are three different patterns of the Twinkle Twinkle paper on this card … the base is Night of Navy and the top banner that was punched is Pool Party, such a pretty combination. I have a piece of the Silver Foil sheet under the Pool Party banner highlighting the punch. The cute little silver stars are part of the Twinkle Twinkle product suite and can be found on page 83 in the annual catalog.

I hope you enjoyed the review of my Twinkle Twinkle Designer paper cards and today’s card. Thanks so much for sharing a part of your day with me!

Have a wonderful day ~

Twinkle Twinkle Christmas in July!!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Fridays are always fantastic and so is the card I’m going to share with you today!  Yesterday I shared another card from the Twinkle Twinkle Designer paper and I said that this beautiful paper is so versatile you could even make a Christmas card with it, sooooooooooooooo

Yup … there it is! I took one of my favorite designer papers (Twinkle Twinkle) and teamed it up with one of the Hottest Christmas sets last year – the Star of Light stamp set. I still love this stamp set, it is stunning and the verses are just beautiful!! It’s so pretty!!

You will also notice that I used the same punch as yesterday … the Detailed Trio punch. So the same punch but with a totally new look. I think that it really added a nice dimension for the greeting.

My Holiday Retreats attendees know I love my bling, so I decided to started early this year and added the Silver Glimmer paper to my card which really gives me … Christmas in July ❤ If you think this card looks good here, you should see it in your hands … the sparkle, oh my! It’s gorgeous!!

Oh … and sparkle, I added some Rhinestones to really put this card over the top glitz!! Wooo Hooo!

Thank you for visiting me today and checking out my blog! Don’t forget the Designer paper is on sale right now. I have them all listed below for you to view  🙂

Thanks again and enjoy your day!!

DESIGNER PAPERS ….

Designer Paper Party!!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Last night I hosted my “Designer Paper” class.  It was a fun night with wonderful ladies … lots of laughs but we still managed to make our cards!!  The focus was on paper techniques and folds because of the Buy One Get One FREE promotion from Stampin’ Up!

I love using designer paper … it can take you from Quick -n- Easy (still beautiful) to Upscale -n- Elegant!! Here is a card that we made last night, and if there is a name for this technique I don’t know what it is, what I do know is that I’ve been wanting to try this for a long time … and it’s EASY!!

This is another great way to use up your scraps!! Cut them into squares, use the new triple punch which has the corner rounder and viola … a quick and cute card!!  The pretty patterns in the Twinkle Twinkle Designer paper are perfect for any style card … I love babies, but let’s think outside of the box. I think it’s perfect for birthday”s, graduations and more – why I bet you could even make a Christmas card out of it!!

The greeting comes from the “Detailed With Love” stamp set, you’ve seen me use this before and you can find it on page 39 of the Annual Catalog. It has great sentiments and pretty elements in it!  Better yet, it’s part of the bundle with the punch!! When you purchase the Detailed Trio Punch and the Detailed with Love stamp set as a bundle … you can save 10%!!

Love this shot …it really shows the dimension on this card.  I’ve also added a little bling to the card … of course!  The new Silver Bakers Twine (Pool Party) and the Faceted Gems, which I think are fabulous and so happy they stayed in the catalog another year 🙂

I thank you for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed the card!

Have a great day ~

Simply Sunday: Butterfly Kisses

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you’ve had time to enjoy this beautiful weekend! I’ve been busy stamping, planning classes and visiting with my great grandbabies! Life is good!!

Today’s card features the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Paper … in fact, because of the sale, the last few days have featured our designer papers!! This quick card just takes a few runs through the BigShot and you’re pretty much done.

The “dots” on my designer paper inspired me to continue the circles in my design, so I cut out a Whisper White and a Soft Sea Foam with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. The double cut “hollow” circle is done in the new Gray Granite color, which is also the base of our card.

I did tuck a little Soft Sea Foam behind the designer paper to tie in our major circle which highlights the butterfly.  Our butterfly comes from the Springtime Impressions Framelits and is cut from the Petal Pink.

To make this beautiful butterfly “pop” even more … I added the Basic Pearls, another item I always keep handy in my stampin’ stash!! You can see that my color pallet came from the Twinkle Twinkle designer paper … takes all the stress out of coordinating your projects.

My greeting comes from the Twinkle Twinkle stamp set, I just omitted everything but the “love you” by covering the stamp with Washi Tape!! Once the stamp is inked … just peel off the washi tape 🙂

This designer paper may have the intention of “baby” but let your imagination go wild and use your designer papers for any application!!” You may find that it’s just the touch you need.

I appreciate you spending a part of your Sunday with me and checking out my blog.

Have an awesome Sunday ~

Thank you,

Welcome Sweet Baby

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have a sweet baby card for you featuring the new Twinkle Twinkle bundle on pages 82 and 83 of the 2018-19 Annual Catalog.

This sweet stamp set caught my eye the first time I looked at it, it’s perfect for welcoming a new baby into the family and I think it will work for many other occasions as well (I’ll be sharing some of those with you!)

Now … I have always loved the “quilted” look that you can do with your Simply Score, however, now we have the new “Tufted” embossing folder and it makes this look super simple!!  Just check this out …

I used the beautiful star pattern in (one of my favorite new colors) Soft Seafoam … it is so pretty and delicate and perfect for a new baby ❤ I added the pearls in each of the exposed “tufts” to make this card a “keepsake” card. Will you be using a lot of your pearls … well, 39 to be exact but I don’t forsee anyone making too many of these! 😉

My greeting is from the coordinating stamp set and is cut out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  These are my “go to” dies … I use them all the time!!

Inside you will see …

I incorporated the coordinating “Twinkle Builder” punch that is included in the bundle to dress up the inside of my card and a strip of the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series paper.

You can also see from this angle that I “popped up” my entire front of the designer paper and the greeting… it adds so much dimension yet does not compete with the pretty pearls on the front.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and I would love it if you could leave a message in the comment section or just click the like button … I appreciate that. It helps my blog become more available in search engines … so others can fine me 🙂

Enjoy this beautiful day … I’ll be back tomorrow to show you another way you can use this great bundle.

Thank you ~

Share What You Love …. Card Review

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I can’t believe it is Monday already (again!) time goes by way too quickly!! Today I’m going to share several cards from my “Share What You Love” collection of cards.  I thought I would be nice to see the many styles you can create with this product suite …

I’m going to share the video with you again because it explains all of the contents from each of the 3 different bundles, with the 4 bundles consisting of the New In-Colors!!

Isn’t that an amazing product suite … I love it!  This pretty card was created by Stampin’ Up! and shown in the video. It is what you can create with the first bundle. I think the first bundle is great for someone who is just starting out … they will need the ink pads and the block as well as the paper.

This is the Level 1 Bundle! Great if you are a new stamper.

Level 2 bundle. This is a step up for a more experienced stamper.  The block is gone (you’ll already have one) but you’ll get an additional stamp set and more … I love the box that contains the embellishments!!!

This card is from the level 2 bundle which was also created by Stampin’ Up! and showcases the pretty lazer cut tags from the pretty accessories box and the Pearlized Doilies.  This bundle also comes with another stamp set.  I love it because you can create your own words with it …

Level 3 … Got to Have it All Bundle!!!

This bundle is where you get the beautiful Designer Paper, a brand new “Got to Have” embossing folder and another stamp set! Here is another pic of my first card creation …

This card shows another one of the Designer papers … this one has the shimmer or Pearlized look on the flowers. It also shows the 3rd stamp set that is included in the “Got to Have It All” bundle.  You can’t see it well on this photo but I added Wink of Stella on the flowers!!

These two are my favorites … the Grapefruit Grove card above and the Mint Macaron below.  The Mint Macaron card highlights the embossing Folder, two beautiful designer paper patterns (One we cut the flowers out to create a bouquet on our card) the doily and the lazer cut tag!

I must tell you that the beautiful box has the same lovely pattern as one of the designer papers. The paper actually has the pearlized or shimmery flowers … it is stunning!!

In this photo I am showcasing the New In-Colors (Bundle 4) and the embossing folder and the many verses in the stamp set. I really love this product suite. I find it very versatile and I know I’ll be sharing more …

I hope you enjoyed taking a look back at all of the different styles (Oh there is so much more you can do as well).

Thank you for stopping in today, and please let me know if you have any questions with this beautiful product suite and the fun, fun bundles.

Have a wonderful day!

Simply Sunday: Beautiful Day!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Oh my goodness … I’m slackin’ a bit today!! I have to work which is unusual for me on a Sunday but I wanted to let my staff have a “sleep in” day after their prom.

Today I have I have a beautiful card to share with you that is very easy to make yet quite elegant. We made this card for our May Stampin’ Club meeting …

I used one of the designer papers from the Share What You Love … Got to Have it All bundle.  It is so pretty! We then stamped our greeting and the flowers to wrap around the greeting.

The flowers coordinate with the designer paper, so I decided we should watercolor our flowers as well.  We used the Aqua Painters and a drop or two from the ink refills… then colored them in.  We used the coordinating marker to draw the lines in …

Those that know me well and have attended my classes, clubs and / or retreats know that I love “sparkly” things, and the Glitter Dots are one of my favorite.  I was sad to see these on the “RETIRED” list but happy to see they are back … just in pretty new colors!!  Wooo Hooo!!

Here is the Level 3, or should I say “Got to have it All” bundle!!  This awesome bundle is what I used to create my card.

The bundles (there are 4 of them; listed below) are available to you as a special pre-order … in this kit your FREE gifts include the “Share What You Love” Embellishment Kit, Very Vanilla Medium Envelopes and the “Statement of My Heart” stamp set!!

I can’t forget to mention the ribbon … the beautiful velvet ribbon!! I coordinates so beautifully and gives the card an added dimension, texture and warmth.

Thank You so much for stopping by my blog today.

Have a wonderful day!

We Share what we Love …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have I have a beautiful card to share with you that we made at our Annual Spring Stamping Retreat. The card was cased from fellow demonstrator and Artisan member; Kim McGillis.  I could not resist her beautiful card and the dimension on this card … it was almost like getting a bouquet of flowers!

We used the “Got to Have it All” bundle from the Share What You Love product suite.  This is still available on a pre-order for you before the end of May.  What is different from waiting until the catalog comes out June 1st?  FREEBIES … Stampin’ Up! has added extra product for you in each of the bundles … the bigger the bundle, the more free product!!

Here is the “Got to have it All” bundle!!  This awesome bundle is what was used to create today’s card…

In this kit your FREE gifts include the “Share What You Love” Embellishment Kit, Very Vanilla Medium Envelopes and the “Statement of My Heart” stamp set!!

As I stated earlier, this card was cased by fellow demonstrator Kim McGillis. Each of our cards turned out slightly different because each guest got a 6 x 6 piece of the beautiful designer paper (shown in the lower left-hand side of the picture) and they cut out the flowers they wanted to add to their card.

The big flower you see centered in the doily has a shimmer to it. This is not only a beautiful designer paper, it is a specialty paper … there are several of the sheets that have the shimmer on them.  What I love is the shimmer coordinates with the new Pearlized Doilies – they coordinate … oh heck, they just look beautiful together!!

I have surprise to share with you!! This comes from fellow demonstrator Marlieke Smetsers!! Oh my gosh, this is so clever … look at all the different patterns Marlieke created using the Pearlized Doilies!! You could use them to highlight a greeting … as snowflakes … to embellish a part of your card, the possibilities are endless.

Today I’d like to “THANK” Kim and Marlieke … my fellow demonstrators for “Sharing What They Love”. We have a large community of sharing and caring demonstrators, it is a wonderful group to be a part of! I’d love to have you join my group and the Stampin’ Up! family … because that is what we all are.

Thank You so much for stopping by my blog today.

Have a wonderful day!

I’m Lucky …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have I have a beautiful card to share with you that is simple in it’s own right yet quite elegant. My card was inspired by fellow demonstrator Rebecca Urban … Her card was so beautiful I didn’t change much.

I decided to use the new Grapefruit Grove for my pop of color. I cased Rebecca’s the layout only changing the placement of the mat on the doily … mine is placed behind the doily, whereas Rebecca had her color on the front, directly behind the greeting. Both of us used the “Share What You Love” Designer paper … just different patterns.

I switched mine up a bit by adding the new “Polka Dot Tulle” ribbon … not available until June 1st but it’s so cute I couldn’t resist!!  And I just had to add the Metal Edged Pearl in the center of my flower, I believe the pearl brings out the pearlescent finish of the doily and designer paper.

Here is the Level 3, or should I say “Got to have it All” bundle!!  This awesome bundle is what I used to create my card.

It is all available to you as a special pre-order … in this kit your FREE gifts include the “Share What You Love” Embellishment Kit, Very Vanilla Medium Envelopes and the “Statement of My Heart” stamp set!!

Thank You so much for stopping by my blog today.

Have a wonderful day!

Stampin’ Technique: Reverse Masking

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I heard it rained here on Sunday morning … hmmm, I never heard a thing! lol Yesterday I posted two cards that were created by my Retreat Attendee’s for our Swap, and Janet’s card used a technique called Mask Resist. I was asked “how” that is done, so I tried to explain it in my reply but thought I should show you, so I will 🙂

Today the card that I created is using the “Got To Have it All” Bundle …

Directions:

Use any framelit or die to cut out a circle, oval or other shape using Vellum Paper. I cut my vellum piece the same size as the cardstock I will be stamping on (No Mess!)

Adhere the Vellum Paper “reverse mask” to a piece of cardstock with a very small spot of removable adhesive (I use the retired Stampin’ Up! Dotto).

Without moving the mask, ink your Stampin’ Sponge and sponge within the masked area with a light color, leaving a bit lighter area in the center

Remove the vellum mask (remove any Dotto residue with the Adhesive Eraser) and Stamp a focal point stamp INSIDE masked area onto cardstock… today I used the bonus stamp from the “Got to Have It All” Bundle.

Stamp additional images that overlap the focal area and the white space for added dimension … and a little “Wink of Stella” always adds a sweet little touch of sparkle to your card.

Thank you for hanging out with me today.

Have a wonderful day!

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Simply Sunday …. Guest Stampers: Janet & Dawn

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Yesterday was a beautiful day … Eileen and I did not make it to Door County, she wasn’t feeling she could make it that far so we had a nice drive and had lunch in Port Washington. It was a good day and we will try again after we get an OK from the doctor.

I also shared with you yesterday one of the Attendee Swap cards created by Maria using the Waterfront stamp set. Today I’d like to share two more cards from our swap… we have some very talented guests who come to retreat.

First is a simple yet beautiful card created using the reverse masking technique! My guest stamper is Janet. She used a reverse mask to add color to the card front and then stamped the floral image and greeting.

This technique works magically to highlight the stamped image … and a touch of glitter really makes it pop.  Janet shows that a simple card can be beautiful, and we all need cards that look like we spent hours creating but we can get them done quickly.

Our second card comes from a new attendee this year … Guest Stamper: Dawn.   A little more layering on this card but the simplicity really creates a beautiful focal point… the balloon.

Dawn used the Up & Away Thinlits dies to cut out the balloon and the clouds – done with glimmer paper. Just a simple stamping of flower really draws your eye to the balloon … simple yet lovely!

I hope you enjoyed these beautiful swap cards as much as the rest of us at retreat did.  I’ll be sharing a few more, including the winning card!!

Thank you for hanging out with me today.

Have a wonderful day!
