Grateful for Stamping Inspiration …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Have you ever looked at a stamp set in the catalog and thought, that’s pretty … but you just keep moving on? Well … that has happened to me too. I’m sure we’ve all done that. THEN we see a beautiful card created with that stamp set!

Well that is exactly how I felt about the “For All Things” stamp set …

See … pretty, right?! But it just didn’t spark the creativity fire in me. Then I saw the card in the new catalog (turn to page 87) It is beautiful!  I just love this card …

Annual15_p087_c

The neutral color scheme and the simplicity of the card is striking! The new “Brick Wall” embossing folder makes the leaves pop … literally and figuratively.  My guess is that the leaves were cut by hand, but well worth the effort.

I love how they highlighted the word “grateful” and wrapped a bit of bakers twine within the leaves. Then to add the “cherry on top” … they added the little flowers from the “Itty Bitty Accents” punch pack.

My “Brick Wall” embossing folder is on the way, and now … I’ll have to add the “For All Things” stamp set to my wish list. Did you know … the Brick Wall folder is bigger than most? It is 4-1/2″ x 6-3/8″

Two thumbs up for Stampin’ Up! creative team for all the great samples in the new catalog. I’m ready to stamp! I’ll be posting some upcoming stamping events before the end of month.

Thank you for stopping by ~

Have yourself a fabulous day!

Get Creative with … What’s Your Type?

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

The idea for today’s post comes from comments made at my stamping club last night. The were discussing the “What’s Your Type” stamp set.

Stamping is all about creativity, and this might just be our most creative set yet! This Stampin’ Up! video walks you through the ins and outs of the What’s Your Type set, showing you how to build your own alphabet for amazing personalized greetings.

They are talking about last years (2014-15 Annual Catalog) that displays the alphabet guide. If you are interested in purchasing the stamp set from me, and want a copy of the catalog, let me know, I’m sure I have a few left.

Here are two cute samples created with this stamp set. They give you a good idea of how creative you can get with this stamp set … the sky is the limit!

Designer Series Paper Stacks and More

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Just had to share the “Get Inspired” post by Stampin’ Up! with you.  Check out all these cute projects!!

The new annual catalog is out! Wooh!!! I don’t know about you, but my wish list is enormous. And our new (adorable) Designers Series Paper Stacks are my faves.

Check out these striped and floral patterns! For this project, I used Crushed Curry, Cucumber Crush, Pool Party, and Watermelon Wonder. It takes just a minute or two to make the fun little Designer Series Paper floral accents featured here using the Flower Medallion Punch (item # 137417). Just snip the petals to give them a little dimension, then adhere them to the tags using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

12be816583795661a8962ff0000f7f0e6

Do you love the adorable floral centers? They’re our new 2015–2017 In Color Blossom Accents (item # 138383)—1/2″ in diameter with 20 flowers per package and four each of five colors.

2

The stamp sets featured here are Friendly Wishes (item # 139579) and Sweet Stack(item # 138948).

Create the tag using the Ornate Tag Topper (item # 137416).

3

Love the new Watermelon Wonder 1″ Dotted Lace Trim; it’s item # 138425 in the new catalog.

4

The cute taffy paper used to make this card is included with the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack (item # 138443). Make the gift box with the Big Shot (item # 113439), the Fry Box Bigz L Die (item # 132966), the All about Sugar Stamp Set (item # 138684) and the Sprinkles on Top Stamp Set (item # 139569). I slipped the treat inside a Gusseted Cellophane Bag, item # 133770.

5

Just for fun, I made a necklace out of stamped doughnuts (see right side of picture). Just make a “sandwich” out of two punched doughnuts with a Stampin’ Dimensional in the middle, then adhere it to the soon-to-be-available-and-super-awesome Silver Metallic Thread (item # 138402). Add a balloon to this cute little ensemble and you have a bright and happy birthday gift for a friend!

Thank you Cindy B. for the awesome projects! Get’s you in the mood to party!

Introducing …. Sprinkles of Life

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’d like to introduce a new stamp set to you today …. the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set. It is this years Ronald McDonald House Charity stamp set.

Sprinkle positive thoughts wherever you want. This set is chock-full of positivity that you’ll want to share with everyone.

139971G

Stampin’ Up! donates time and money to support Ronald McDonald House Charities. To date we’ve contributed over $1,000,000 to RHMC and their network of local RMHC Chapters. When you buy the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set, we donate a portion of the proceeds to RMHC.

Sprinkles of Life_1

These cute projects were created by our home offices at Stampin’ Up! You can find these right in your catalog!  Be sure I will be sharing plenty of my own samples with you … I love this stamp set!

The Sprinkles of Life stamp set comes in “Photopolymer” form and will work great when you are layering your stamped images!  I love the Photopolyemer because they “really” stick to the blocks and you have a clear view for your stamping.

Make sure however that your ink pads are fully inked … that’s when they work the best and give you a beautiful crisp stamped image. If your not sure how to re-ink your ink pads, let me know, I can help you with that.

Here is a glimpse of a photopolymer stamp (for those of you who have not used these before). Notice you can create a beautiful layout of multiple stamps … create your own background!

I hope you love “Sprinkles of Life” as much as I do, the projects are just so cute!

Thanks for sharing a part of your day with me, hope to see you tomorrow for another new stamp set!

Have an awesome day!

Hello Darling … Guest Stamper: Robin P.

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

When I checked out the Stampin’ Up! “Get Inspired” blog … I found this cute card and project and had to share it with you.  It was created by our concept artist: Robyn P

Gold is the new black—okay, maybe not when it comes to your basic black skirt or pants, but it’s huge in the crafting world. Our Gold Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper (item # 133697) has just the right amount of gold. In fact, each sheet has gold metallic ink on it, from a full sheet of gold stripes to little hints of gold confetti.

The gold is paired with other trendy, fun, bright colors and coordinates with the hip imagery in the Hello Darling Stamp Set (item # 133994). Combine these two together to make cards, boxes, and tags that shimmer! You’ll be the talk of the town. Get them fast before they are gone!

Planting Pumpkins …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Hope you had a wonderful weekend. I was busy packing up my stampin’ supplies for my upcoming Spring Stamping Retreat.  Can’t wait to see everyone… I’ve got some great projects planned!!

Yesterday I showed you the April Paper Pumpkin, today I want to show you an alternative project that you can create using the same kit.

It’s spring, so I figured it was time to plant …

000_2182

I created a flower pot out of the Hello Honey card that is included in the kit. I also punched a 1-1/4″ circle from the other half for the center of my flower.  I then covered it in “Crystal Effects” and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

Because the card was Hello Honey, I kept my color scheme within the 2014-16 In-color family with the Lost Lagoon for the flower “Blossom punch” and greeting, and Mossy Meadow for the stem and leaves. I used the 1-1/4″ circle punch again to create the leaves.

The greeting comes from the “And Many More” stamp set and then punched with the Word Window punch and backed with the Modern Label punch.

Since they have the cutest greetings included in the Paper Pumpkin kit …. I had to use them.

000_2189

As you can see, this is a card that I am giving my Mom … Just because! I might have to pop a butterfly on the card for her – she loves her butterflies!

Thank you for checking back with me to see what I have created with the April Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Flamingo Lingo Showcase …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I’d like to showcase a retiring stamp set “Flamingo Lingo”. This is a stamp set close to my heart, it is the Ronald McDonald House Chariest stamp set.

134306G

You’ll be tickled pink with the Flamingo Lingo Clear stamp set and the variety of cards you can make with this darling flamingo. And you’ll love that with each set purchased, Stampin’ Up! will donate $3 to RMHC. Together we can make a difference in the lives of children and their families.

Speaking of pink …

000_1399

Here is the first of 3 cards that I will showcase today using the Flamingo Lingo stamp set.  This card was stamped by my friend and downline member Cindy. It was a swap card from one of our Star’s Team meeting. Who does not love pink & black, and she created a focal point with the Oval Collection Framelits.

Next is a card I created …

000_1343

Oh yes … tickled pink again! I framed out our flamingo using the Square Collection Framelit die. The Coastal Cabana really pops with the black and Strawberry Slush (both retiring colors). I do believe that the scallop edge punch is also on the retired list.

Last but not least, is a card that we made at one of my Stamp Camps …

000_2166

This card was done in Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe … with just a touch of Pistachio Pudding. The 2013-15 In-colors will also retire (and the refills go FAST!!) which include the Cantaloupe and Pistachio!

As you can see … you really can make a variety of card using the Flamingo Lingo stamp set. There is still time to purchase this fabulous set … Click Here to shop now.

I hope you enjoyed … I have a list of ingredients for your convenience below. I will not repeat items (like the Petite Petals punch) for each card, ingredients will only be listed once.

Thanks so much for stopping by ~

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST …

Hooray It’s Your Day Project Kit

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Yesterday I saw the cutest projects made with the ” Hooray It’s Your Day Project Kit ” on the Stampin’ Up! Get Inspired blog so I have decided to share the post from Brandi B. with you!
Set of cards

I am absolutely IN LOVE with the twenty cards I created that day, and I can’t believe the value this kit includes: wood and metal embellishments, twine, washi tape, tons of pre-cut embellishments, exclusive stencils, specialty card folds, custom envelopes cut from Stampin’ Up! cardstock, and more.

I mostly made the cards the way the kit showed me (why mess with perfection?) but I made a few alterations. The kit includes stencils for a spritzing technique, but I wanted to skip the drying time. So I just used a Stampin’ Sponge (item # 101610) instead of the included Stampin’ Spritzers.

card 1

The sunburst template from the kit made such a nice, vibrant background for my balloon card. The Multipurpose Liquid Glue (item # 110755) worked perfectly for the little wooden embellishments. It was clean and easy to apply, and my stars are “stuck” quite permanently.

card 2

This card has a fun file folder style. I glued my file folder shut on the edges, which meant I had to trim my insert a little smaller to fit. You could try closing the sides of the folder shut with washi tape. I love that this kit includes some blingy pieces like the quote bubble. They add so much dimension.

card 3

This matchbook-style card uses the scallop mask that is included with the kit. These masks are fun to use and make easy, pretty backgrounds. I love how each piece of this kit—every quote bubble, every balloon, all the accessories—are included. It let me make perfect, fancy, embellished cards completely on the go. In fact, the rhinestones in the centers of these flowers are the only embellishment I added to these cards. (Maybe a record for me!)

card 4
This card features a glossy print, which resists ink when you sponge (or spritz) it. The two-tone background looks so vibrant! And since this card features a built-in gift card holder

(and self-adhesive numbers are included), I thought about who I could give a birthday gift card to.  I decided to put the ages of my older nieces and nephews on front. I had one left, so I included my sister (who will be turning 34 this year).

I love this card kit, and I know you will, too! Whether you follow the instructions or get creative with it, you’ll be amazed with the fun folds and great value it has to offer. Order one today—this is a limited time offer, only available in the occasions catalog!

Happy Stampin’! Brandi B. / Curriculum Developer & Trainer
