Hello Stampin’ Friends ~
How are you this fine day? I’m hoping for that 64° weather they promised us … and sunshine, lot’s of sunshine!
We always talk about how versatile and how well our stamp sets and accessories coordinate, well today I’d like to share a card that I created with a unique combination.
I began with the “In This Together” stamp set which you can find in our main catalog. I like to two friends standing together under the umbrella. I wanted blue tones for my color pallet and picked the Bermuda Bay and Tempting Turquoise colors from the Bold Collection.
It was the umbrella that reminded me of a card in the “Memories in the Making” Project Life Specialty card collection … It’s a FREE Sale-a-bration item! It has “resist” raindrops!
Now … I’ll be totally honest / I left a nice turquoise finger print on my card piece and did not want to start all over so I improvised! I looked through my stamp sets until I found a verse that I thought fit with my card, and yep, I told you our stamps coordinate in unexpected ways … The verse is from “Sprinkles of Life” … amazing! I love the way the theme for this entire card fit together.
One more thing … I used the “Crystal Effects” on the umbrella and boots on my card, which coordinates with the “Memories in the Making” Project Life Specialty card resist … the shine carries all the way through the card.
I’m not sure Stampin’ Up! even knows these three items would coordinate so well. My thought for you … experiment with combining different stamp sets and accessories, you’ll never know what you will come up with!
Thank you for sharing part of your day with me!
I’ll be back tomorrow with another Simply Sunday project.
Have a good day ~
Today’s Stampin’ Supply List …
Hello Stampin’ Friends,
It appears I ran into some technical problems yesterday and my post didn’t show up when expected. Hopefully everything is back to normal!
Today I have a card to share with you that illustrates the kissing technique. Hope you got the chance to watch the video yesterday (or this morning!). I chose the “I Think You’re Great” stamp set from the new catalog. It has the perfect stamps for the kissing technique.
I inked up my cloud in Marina Mist and “kissed” it to the scalloped pattern stamp … It makes the cloud look a bit fluffier! The beautiful sun comes from the “Kinda Eclectic” stamp set and the greeting from our Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set “Sprinkles of Life”.
I used the new Silver Metallic Thread to create my silver lining behind my cloud. I think it turned out pretty cute.
From this angle you can see that I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop us the front of my card…. just a little added dimension.
As for the Kissing Technique Tip … If you’re working with a larger solid image in a lighter shade, you can kiss it to a more detailed image inked up in a color that is darker than your solid. For example … use the solid balloon from “Celebrate Today” and kiss it with “World Map” or “Corner Garden”. Play with it and have some fun!
Till tomorrow … have a great day.
Thanks for stopping by ~
Hello Stampin’ Friends ~
I’d like to introduce a new stamp set to you today …. the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set. It is this years Ronald McDonald House Charity stamp set.
Sprinkle positive thoughts wherever you want. This set is chock-full of positivity that you’ll want to share with everyone.
Stampin’ Up! donates time and money to support Ronald McDonald House Charities. To date we’ve contributed over $1,000,000 to RHMC and their network of local RMHC Chapters. When you buy the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set, we donate a portion of the proceeds to RMHC.
These cute projects were created by our home offices at Stampin’ Up! You can find these right in your catalog! Be sure I will be sharing plenty of my own samples with you … I love this stamp set!
The Sprinkles of Life stamp set comes in “Photopolymer” form and will work great when you are layering your stamped images! I love the Photopolyemer because they “really” stick to the blocks and you have a clear view for your stamping.
Make sure however that your ink pads are fully inked … that’s when they work the best and give you a beautiful crisp stamped image. If your not sure how to re-ink your ink pads, let me know, I can help you with that.
Here is a glimpse of a photopolymer stamp (for those of you who have not used these before). Notice you can create a beautiful layout of multiple stamps … create your own background!
I hope you love “Sprinkles of Life” as much as I do, the projects are just so cute!
Thanks for sharing a part of your day with me, hope to see you tomorrow for another new stamp set!
Have an awesome day!
