Have you ever imagined …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I have some cute stampin’ projects that were shared by fellow demonstrator Cindy B.  She is also a project writer at Stampin’ Up!  Cindy, just like the rest of us, loves to stamp, then her friend asked her the golden question …

“Have you ever thought about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator?”

She had in fact thought about being a demonstrator,  and was invited to a downline meeting.   What do Stampin’ Up! demonstrators do at their meetings? They make stuff. Lots of stuff. And they swap.  They eat yummy snacks. They learn about upcoming promotions and products. And they have fun with friends who love to papercraft. Here are some pictures that Cindy shared …

Have you ever thought of  becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator? When you join Stampin’ Up! between now and June 30, you’ll receive:

  • $55 worth of products

  • A 30 percent discount on your first order*

  • A 20 percent discount on all your orders

  • Free Paper Pumpkin Kit

  • Free entrance to our annual convention* (must be registered by June 20)

Create friendships that will last forever and enjoy the benefits of fun, friends, and creativity—become a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator today.

Fast -n- Furious Friday’s … Hello Love

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Wow … another week is behind us and we can look forward to that weekend!  Today I have a sweet card for you and will introduce another of the Hostess stamp sets.  It is the cute “Hello Love” stamp set.

It’s done simply in Whisper White and Lost Lagoon…

102_2427

With just a bit of basic stamping, you have this cute card to share with someone “who makes you happy”!  Don’t you just love that little birdie?!

The yellow used for the sun and greeting is the new “Hello Honey”.  I think these two colors work so well together.

102_2424

It’s crazy how easy this card was to create!  The tulip folder is no longer available, so for those of you who don’t have it … this card will look just fine without it.  Our little bird makes the perfect focal point!

Thanks you for stopping by!

Enjoy the upcoming weekend ~

My weekly deal favorites …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

On Wednesday I shared with you the weekly deals, today I want to share with you why these are some of my favorites!

First let me start with the “Heart Punch” … I love punches, they make creating cards so quick and easy.  Just a couple layers of cardstock, glimmer paper and a greeting!  Simple …

000_0766

Next is the Natural Composition Specialty Designer Series Paper …What can I say, this is an awesome product!  The specialty paper is one sided but it has an embossed side.

You can leave it as is, and just add a greeting or you can emboss over the top of the embossing as was done on this card …

000_0293

Ok … if you think that is awesome (and it is) then grab a brayer, ink it up with your favorite color, and brayer that color over the top of this fabulous specialty paper.  The emboss on the paper, resists!  You can do this technique on “any” of the designs.  Check out this card…

000_0297

So those are 2 of my favorites.  Hope you enjoyed the samples.

Click on any of the links below to view further details of the specials.

Have an awesome Friday ~

Dare to Dream …

combined-poppies-800

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Let me first send my thoughts and prayers on this Memorial Day to all the service members and their families, who have sacrificed so much to give us the freedoms we enjoy in this country.  I thank you as well.

Today’s card encourages the receiver to “Dare to Dream”, so whether it’s a graduation, a new job or someone moving into a whole new life experience this sweet and simple card will fit the bill.  It’s simplicity makes quite a statement.

000_1093

I have been choosing to showcase simpler cards lately because our summers seem so busy, especially at this time of year.  Use this quick -n- easy pattern with any Washi tape to create your card and get back to enjoying your summer.

I will say … it’s getting harder to pick stamp sets, because many on the retirement list are quickly selling out.  The “Loving Thoughts” stamp set used for my greeting only has the wood mount remaining … the clear mount set is sold out.

The yellow checked washi tape comes from the “Gingham Garden” designer collection and is currently on sale… 30% Off!!  That is good news.

000_1095

As you can see, I added a bit of the washi tape to the inside too.  Washi tape is so fun and easy to use!

My butterflies were created by layering the punched Bitty Butterfly over the Elegant Butterfly.  I just love the way this looks … oh, and I used the “Watercolor Wonder” designer paper to punch the butterflies out of.  I used the “string” of rhinestones for the butterfly body.

000_1098

I finished off my card by anchoring it with the 3 rhinestones at the bottom.  If you haven’t guessed my color pallet by now … I used Whisper White and the beautiful Daffodil Delight.

000_1093

I have a list of ingredients at the end of my post for you.  Just click on it to view more details or to begin shopping.  We only have a few days left before these items retire for good.  Please let me know if I can help you.

Have yourself a wonderful day.

Fabulously Fun Friday …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Hope you are having a good day.  I thought we would have a bit of fun today by going back and taking a look at some of my favorite retiring stamps sets and more.

Most of the samples are my cards, but this is a fellow demonstrators card.  If I have their names I’d be sure to share and give them credit, however on our first card, I do not have the creators name.

The first sample is from “Field Flowers” – page 67 of the main catalog….

102_5802

The clear set has been “sold out” but the wood mount is still available.

My next card share is from the stamp set “Gently Falling” on page 65.  Also retiring … both the clear and wood sets are available and the clear mount is on sale at 25% Off.  I will post a link to the stamp sets at the end so you don’t have to search … just click it and you’re at my store.

I made this card with my technique group … it is the Tile Technique.

Most of the time for the tile technique you use embossing with clear emboss powder, however, it was much quicker and easier to use the glossy cardstock and the Simply Score!  I am going to miss this stamp set … I love Fall and it’s amazing colors.

100_5947

Here is another card that I created using the “Gently Falling” stamp set …

000_0136

000_0134

And I can’t forget to mention the Ronald McDonald House Charity Stamp Set ($3 is donated per stamp set purchased)  The clear sets have sold out, but the wood mount is available and at at 25% savings!  Here’s two of my favorite cards from the “TAG IT” stamp set …

101_1359

101_1397

Hope you enjoyed our stroll down memory lane!  I will share the links for these stamp sets at the end of my blog so you can view full details or purchase before they are gone too!  These sets are going fast, and many are gone forever.

Here is just a fun fact for Friday …

The TOP 5 Countries viewing my blog!

  • United States
  • Canada
  • Germany
  • Australia
  • United Kingdom

Thank you for joining me … Have a fabulous Friday and a safe and Happy Memorial Day Weekend.

A Little Something Cute (Sneak Peek)

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

The sun is shining today!!  It’s also the first day in a long time that I have had to myself, so I think I got a little lazy with my post!  Let me just say … it’s worth the wait.

Today I am sharing with you a cute card created with some new products from Stampin’ Up!.  It’s a bit of a tease of what coming not only in the new catalog, but at my New Catalog Kick-Off party!!  I don’t have a date right now as I’m still waiting on word from the hall, but I’ll be sure to send invites as soon as we have things finalized.

My card is made with the new “Maritime” Designer Series Paper and is perfect for a new baby boy or a first birthday.

000_1072

My color pallet reflect the designer paper: Whisper White, Night Of Navy, Pool Party, and Cherry Cobbler.  The white, cherry and navy truly feel nautical, and the addition of the Pool Party makes it perfect for this baby card.

I used the both sides of the designer paper … the cute little octopus is on one side, and the fun waves pattern is on the other!  You will also find a strip of the “waves” on the inside of the card.  To anchor my greeting, I used the star punch from the new “Itty Bitty Accents” punch pack.  I also used the punch inside on my strip of designer paper.

000_1074

The greeting… “a little something cute…”  comes from the new stamp set, “Something to Say”.  It’s filled with great greetings and verses!  I added the inside verse “for your cute little someone” to complete the card!  This is one of the stamp sets you will be using and my Kick-off Party!

Oh!  By the way… I will have boxes and boxes of the new catalogs along with me!!  All club members get them for free, or anyone placing an order of $25 or more will also get to take one home with them!

I can’t wait to share this exciting new catalog with you!  Watch for my “Kick-Off Party” invitation!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

My 2014 Annual Stampin’ Retreat Swaps …

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I am sharing with you just some of the swap cards that were exchanged at my annual Spring Retreat.  I must say … there was a lot of talent in our group this retreat!   All of the cards were wonderful.

Our first guest stamper is: Karie K.   I love the beautiful color combination Karie used with the “Polka Dot Pieces” stamp set.  Love the fold and the use of the “Scallop Tag Topper Punch”!  What a wonderful way to express birthday wishes!

100_2379

Our next Guest Stamper is Linda K.  This beautiful card shimmers with delight!  Linda’s choice to team up the “Brushed Gold” cardstock and Striped Gold Vellum in matching envelope is brilliant.   The vellum and the stamp set “Happy Congratulations” can both be found in the “Celebrate the Everyday” catalog.

100_2382

My next guest stamper is:  KATHY C.   Another fun fold card.  Like Karie’s Scallop Punch, Kathy used the “Angled Tag Topper Punch”, and used one of my favorite designer papers – Quarterfancy Specialty paper.   The beautiful flower is from the “Love & Sympathy” stamp set.

100_2381

Our next Guest Stamper is: OLIVIA H.  I just love the colorful way Olivia  say’s she’s “Thinking of You” which comes from the stamp set “Kind & Cozy”.  And who doesn’t love the “Gingham Garden Washi Tape”!  Sad to see that leaving the catalog 😦  Olivia finishes off her beautiful card with the “Elegant Butterfly” and the “Pearls”.

100_2384

My last Guest Stamper is: BARB L.  It is also the WINNER of our card contest.  Each guest votes for their favorite and Barb won a $25 Gift Certificate for more Stampin’ Up! products of her choice!

100_2383

I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek at our our retreat swaps.  I love having all the wonderful ideas and samples.  Like I said earlier … a lot of talented ladies came to stamp.  Maybe someday I’ll post more.

I’ll post a list of the main ingredients below,  that were used in the swaps.  Just click on them for more information or to purchase.

Thank you for stopping by ~

Retiring Stamp Sets Card Share ….

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today I just wanted to share a couple cards from some of the stamp sets that will be retiring.  First is the “Delightful Dozen” stamp set … I used this a lot because of the many different greetings.  You will find it on page 27 of the main Stampin’ Up! catalog or you can view at the end of my post.  Also retiring is the “Birthday Basics” Designer Series Paper.

101_1722

Next I have for you the “Make a Cake” stamp set from page 17 of the catalog.  This fun birthday card also features the “Itty Bitty Banners” stamp set, however that one is not retiring 🙂

Make A Cake - May web

I also want to remind you that the 2013-14 Ronald McDonald House Charity Stamp Set: Tag It will also be retiring.   Stampin’ Up! gives $3 to the RMHC fund for each Tag It set sold.  You can find it on page 45.  I am going to miss this one!

                101_1399  101_1385

My last card share for today is on page 51 and it’s titled “Rev Up the Fun”.  I used this for my manly cards.  Any guy who rides or loves NASCAR would appreciate a card from this stamp set.  It’s fun!  The Designer Series Paper; “I Am Me” will also retire.

000_0066

I’m always sad to see my favorites leave the catalog, but I guess that’s the only way we can get new stamp sets and fabulous accessories!

I do urge you to purchase early if you have some “must have” items … some items are already sold out (like Gumball Green cardstock!)

You can go to my website www.lindaluvs.stampinup.net or just click on one of the pictures below.  You will have to create an account … but it’s easy.

You can also contact me at lindaluvs2stamp@aol.com or call me at 262-334-1009 and I will help you with your order.  Thank you.

I Hate Goodbyes … but Love “Good Buys!”

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

I wanted to share this post from our Stampin’ Up! “Get Inspired” blog.  Jen has the cutest cards to share …

I Hate Goodbyes

The new annual catalog will be coming soon and that is exciting. But, inevitably, something I love gets retired each year to make room for new products and colors. I’m already sad knowing how much I’m going to miss a great collection of In Colors (US/CAN). (I’m still not over losing Poppy Parade.)

I thought I’d share a few quick projects that showcase my favorite colors that will soon be retiring.

So long, Summer Starfruit . . .

You’ll be missed, Midnight Muse . . .

Goodbye, Gumball Green . . .

What colors do you miss?

Jen C.
Concept Artist

Great things are coming … and it will come just in time to bring a smile to your face, even though some of our favorites will be on the retirement list.

Stampin’ Up! is giving FREE SHIPPING!  Get FREE shipping on everything (excluding expedited orders) April 21-25! The lists of retiring products will be available on April 21, so you can take advantage of free shipping by ordering all your favorites right away!

I will have the Retirement list available for you on the 21st!!  See you then.

Have a wonderful day ~

Pumpkin Card Share …

Hello my Stampin’ Friends,

Oh my… It’s March 31st already!  It’s been cold for so long that I don’t think we realized that we really are heading into April (and Spring).

I have created a bunch of cards using my March Paper Pumpkin that I wanted to share with you.  I also want to remind you that the offer for the FREE Markers (when you sign up for the Paper Pumpkin) ends today.  CLICK HERE TO TRY IT OUT

I don’t want you to miss out on the FREE markers if you have been thinking about trying out our Paper Pumpkin.  It really is a fun treat that comes to you each month.

demoheader_paperpumpkin_demo_1.11-1.27.2014_US_CA

Here is my first sample, which represents how Stampin’ Up! pictures the design for you.  You will see as we go on, that there are 4 each of the two different greetings in wood, the base cards, two different stamps, and two different ink colors.  The cute little glitter dots, envelopes and gold envelope liners are also included in the kit.  Oh yes, and they even have “glue dots” included to adhere your wooden greetings!

000_0943

My second card for you is simply adding a flower created with the “Petite Petal” punch from the “Celebrate the Everyday” catalog.  I put one of the little glitter dots into the center … did I mention that they are “self-adhesive”!

000_0944

For my 3rd card, I found left-over oval from another project, and added it to my card.  The fun part is … I stamped the arrow image directly onto my wooden greeting!  You could stamp any design on these wooden pieces.  How fun is that!

000_0948

For my 4th and final card share, I stamped the patterned image on my card several times to create a wide border.  I have to say that using these clear photopolymer stamps … it’s really easy to align it!

Then I used the ink pad (spot) that was included in the kit, to “die” my wooden greeting.   I punched a circle out of the envelope liner, and used it to highlight my greeting.  The envelope liners are long enough that you can still use the liner for your envelope after punching … as shown below.

000_0950

I understand that you cannot get this Paper Pumpkin any more, but I did want to show you how neat, and how versatile they really are.  If you really like the wooden elements – you can find the “Essential Wooden Elements” on page 18 of the “Celebrate the Everyday” catalog.

Pair it up with the Watercolor Wonder Designer Note cards and try some of the same techniques I’ve shown you here.  I will have the links at the bottom of my blog for you view these products.
