Throwback Thursday: Happy Easter

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m bringing back a really cute Easter card and a scrapbook page! With the products we currently have in our catalog today, you could easily recreate either of these two projects.

My “technique” that I was teaching when these were created was “Dying your Glimmer Paper”.  I taught my classes how to use your ink refills and either a sponge dauber or the Stampin’ Spritzers to color the Glimmer paper … NOW you don’t have too! With the beautiful colors of Glimmer Paper Stampin’ Up! has brought out for Sale-a-bration all you have to do is punch! No fuss required!

The first is my bunny card …

Both the bunny and the eggs were created with a combination of circle and oval punches … now, I think I would use the Layering Circle and Oval Framelits. You will have a greater choice of sizes this way. The little bunny tail was made with a flower punch.

I used the same format on my scrapbook page as I did on my card.  That is one thing that I have always taught in my classes.  Use what inspires you to create what ever you need.  How do you like the little chick I tucked inside the cracked egg? Again, made with the oval 🙂

OK, I have one more card that I want to share with you that I created using the “Dying your Glimmer Paper” technique …

You could easily recreate this card using the Sale-a-bration Glimmer paper. And you know what … the “Petite Petals” punch that I used to make this card is still in the catalog!!  You know what else would be cute … the Elegant Butterfly punch.

Just because something is old (Created 2014) … doesn’t mean it can’t be new again!

Thank you for stepping back in time with me today, I hope this inspires you to get creative and have some fun!

Have yourself a wonderful day ~

Below is a list of products I used and suggested products to create that projects shown.  You can purchase any of these items by clicking on the item.  Remember that you will receive a FREE Sale-a-bration item with a qualifying purchase of $50 or more.

Throwback Thursday: Fall Fun

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I love fall,  it is my favorite season and hosts my second favorite holiday … Halloween. I love the crisp air, the smell and the beautiful colors, not to mention the visits to the pumpkin farms!

Today I’m sharing two scrapbook pages that I did years ago, but the layouts used make them timeless.

The first is a visit to the pumpkin farm with 2 of my granddaughters. A simple layout but it works beautifully as it really makes the pictures “pop” … and isn’t that was scrapbooking is all about – the pictures!

I still laugh when I look at this page. We told Cassie should could have any pumpkin she wanted as long as she could pick it up! Well let me tell you… that young girl had a lot of determination, you can see her struggle, but she got them and was so proud.

The second is another layout of us at the pumpkin farm … this time I used a split photo technique. I always wanted to do that and it really looks cool.

These pages are really making me long for the days of pumpkin farms … time to pick up my great grandson and continue the traditions!

Hope you enjoyed the layouts, and that it inspires you to pull out your photos and do a bit of scrapbooking.

Thank you for sharing a part of your day with me.

Have a wonderful day ~

Throwback Thursday: Butterflies

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today we are stepping back to 2014. I’m sharing some of my favorite butterfly cards.  Enjoy…

This one is sweet and simple. The contrasting butterflies make a bold statement … the larger butterfly is actually punched out of the vanilla and the Petite butterfly is set inside.

Love this card! The Square Framelits and Flowering Flourishes stamp set are both retiring this year, as is the Blackberry Bliss which I used for the butterfly and flower. Oh I’m going to MISS that color!!

This was a quick and simple card that I created with the butterfly punches and Washi Tape!

This one was created using the “Kinda Eclectic” stamp set and the butterfly punches.  Whew … my “Kinda Eclectic” made it through to another year!  Love this stamp set and it’s versatility.

I love stepping back in time and seeing what I stamped a few years ago, love to see that they are still relevant and could be used today!

Thank you for sharing a bit of your Thursday with me.

Enjoy your day ~

Throwback Thursday: WOLF plus a Guest Stamper!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

We are past the hump and heading for the weekend … that’s always a good thing! Hope you are having a good day!

Today I’d like to share with you one of my favorite “wish I wouldn’t have sold that” … stamp set! The Wolf stamp set was always a favorite of mine, and so easy to use.

I’m sure many of you recognize this stamp set.  If you’re lucky … you still own it!!

The card I’m showing you today, I demonstrated many, many times.

The contrasting colors “Eggplant & Olive” really made the card pop! I also added the same color highlights with our “then” chalks (miss them dearly too!).   I then trimmed some of the edges with our “Deckle” scissors!  Am I bringing back some memories!?

We do still carry the Crystal Effects which really look cool in the wolfs eyes.

I also want to share a beautiful card that I received as a swap last Friday; Created by Bonnie K.  She did the “Dazzling Diamond Dust” technique on the card and I find it just stunning!

Did you notice the embellishment wrapped around the “grosgrain” ribbon … more flashbacks from the past!  Such a pretty card.

I hope you enjoy my “Throwback Thursdays” … they are meant to inspire you to pull out your older stamp sets and use them again. It’s not about getting you to buy something, but to use your supplies and just enjoy the art of stamping ❤

Thank you for sharing a part of your day with me!

Have a happy day ~

Throwback Thursday: Tea Anyone?

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Had a wonderful night stampin’ with my Technique club last night. A wonderful group of ladies and it was just what I needed … I’ve been working hard in my stampin’ studio on my retreat and it was so nice to interact with my stampin’ friends face to face. Wish I could have you all over!

Today for Throwback Thursday, we are going back to March 2012 to the “Tea Shoppe” stamp set … oh I loved this set! Here are some of the cards that we made using this set!

Today we have the “A Nice Cuppa” stamp set, and you can bundle it with the “Cups & Kettles” Framlits Dies…. What did we do before them!? Lots of fussy cutting! Ugh!  I LOVE FRAMELITS & PUNCHES!

This fun layout and color combination is what I really loved with this next card! Early Espresso (what else) and Pool Party … so nice together.

There were so many cute cards created with this set but this will be my favorite. Did you notice the corner of the card front is tucked behind the “you suit me to a tea” …. hmmm!

That’s because it locks the fun fold together. It’s like a card inside of a card (sorry for the poor photo quality) and the back is embossed to highlight the inner card. Unique and fun.

Now with the fun designer paper from the “Have a Cuppa” product suite … it all coordinates including the stamp set, cardstock and embellishments!  Check it out on page 34 and 35 of the Occasions Catalog. (click on the catalog on the right to view).

I hope this inspired you to create some fun projects using our new “tea cup” stamp set!

Thank you for sharing a part of your day with me.

Have a good one ~
