Joy to All …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have another card to share with you that I created with the Shine Bright Bundle.  This one is all about the colors of Christmas with silver, green and red. Let me show you …

We first heat embossed our pretty tree in silver on Vellum cardstock … we used the Stamparatus to get perfect placement on our vellum. Once embossed we used the Real Red and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends to color our images.  Regular markers would take a long time to dry on vellum and that is why we used the Stampin’ Blends… they dry quicker. We also heat embossed our greeting in Silver and punched it out using the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch.

After coloring our tree, we attached it with Glue Dots onto the Whisper White so it would show up better on our card, and then matted it with a piece of Real Red cardstock … which was also the base of our card.

Our background was created by embossing a piece of Silver Foil cardstock using the Tin Tile 3-D embossing folder … I love that this pattern added some nostalgia (an old fashioned look) to our card. Now our tree was attached on top using Stampin’ Dimensionals, as was our greeting … after added a Real Red banner behind it to make it pop.

A touch of bling is all it needed now so we added the Holiday Rhinestone on the top of the tree and our regular Rhinestones where the little circles were on the stamped image.  That completed our card.

Hope you enjoyed this card as much as my Stamp Club enjoyed making it.  This is another form of the “Stained Glass” technique. Usually I color on the back but we wanted the brightness of the color on this card.

Simply Sunday: Shine Bright

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Sorry I missed you yesterday, no issues … just took the day off.  With the holidays coming up and new staff to train, I don’t get too many days off lately, but I did spend the morning stamping with my Stamp Clubs … a little holiday gathering.  Cookies, hot chocolate, more sweets and of course stamping, and today I’m going to share with you a simple card that we made using the Shine Bright bundle.

The Shine Bright Bundle includes the Shine Bright Cling Stamp Set and the Jolly Season Dies. You can create custom die-cut Christmas trees, stars, and holly boughs in record time using the Stitched Brightly Dies.

On our first card, we only used the die strip that has the trees which were cut in Garden Green.  I began with a 2-3/4″ x 5-1/4″ piece and ran it through my die cut machine.  Then I trimmed each tree piece down to 2-3/4″ x 2″. We matted the tree with Very Vanilla cardstock but before we attached it … we painted a little Wink of Stella in the center so it would show through the tree … so subtle but pretty.

Our background comes from the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper … it features traditional toile designs in classic Christmas colors–the perfect paper for a cozy Christmas.  There are 12 sheets of designer paper: 2 each of 6 double-sided designs.  This paper is so pretty … our greeting was stamped inside!

We used the pattern with the sleigh and carolers … now you can see why we did not want to cover any of this pretty paper up, even with a greeting!

This bundle can do so much more, so for the next few days, I will be sharing additional samples with you. Wrapped in Plaid Bundle …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I am sharing some cute Christmas cards featuring the Wrapped in Plaid bundle! That Pine Tree punch makes cardmaking quick -n- easy!  I will be sharing several samples that I created, some from the Greek Isles Incentive Trip and from our Holiday Stamping Retreat … all to show the versatility of this bundle.

This little beauty was created from scraps …

I had the squares left over as well which I layered onto a gold background to pull the gold out of the Wrapped in Plaid Designer paper.  Since I wanted the tree to be my focal point of my card, I added a piece of Vellum Cardstock cut from the Stitched Framelits Dies. I then embossed my Christmas tree with the Country Floral embossing folder.

This card was created for the Greek Isles Incentive Trip swap and shared for all of us to see ….

I created this card in a jiffy … This little cutie is my #1 card for views & saves on Pinterest! I always said that “simple” works … we all have busy lives, so whatever helps us is a win, win!

I used the Gold Edged-Foil and Envelopes set for the base of my card … and the gold trim is already on there to enhance the gold strips in the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series paper so it’s the perfect choice.  Once the Wrapped in Plaid Designer paper was attached, I die cut a circle and punched the tree into it.

This next card is one that we made at our Holiday Stamping Retreat … It’s so cute!

Oh my … I found another from our Greek Isles cruise …

I have one more that I’d like to share with you. This card was one of the swap cards at my Holiday Stamping Retreat … This bundle can really create a wonderful array of card styles! What’s Your Style?

The Itty Bitty Christmas Bundle …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I am sharing cards I created with the Itty Bitty Christmas bundle and a couple from Stampin’ Up! It is amazing how different each card turned out … I wanted to show the different elements of the stamp set and dies to demonstrate how versatile this bundle is.

The first card is bursting with holiday flair and is decked out in gold.  The floral pattern really highlights the greeting and ties in the gold throughout the card so nicely. The Shades Spruce and Cherry Cobbler look so regal together and are compliments of the Wrapped in Plaid Specialty Designer paper.

Here is another sample that highlights the floral dies cuts … I love these, they actually look more like a metal embellishment than a die cut piece of cardstock!! They also used the die cut image to create a fun background on this card.

My second card is so different from the first in that we have created our own “Shimmer” paper by spritzing the beautiful Seaside Spray from our 2019 – 2021 In Color collection.  For a little more sparkle, the snowflakes are cut from the Sparkle Shimmer Paper! But wait … there is one more layer of sparkle when I added the Rhinestones to the snowflakes.

My last card of the three is just simply elegant and done with White and Silver … and yes, graced with a touch of glitter. Instead of die cutting the image and adhering it to the base as I did in the first card, I actually cut it out of the front and used it to impose a second layer to the card… stunning.

Simply Sunday: Reflections of Christmas …

How are you enjoying the Holiday Catalog and all the goodies inside? It’s a fabulous catalog … isn’t it! However, I want to remind you of the beautiful stamp sets that we have in our Annual Catalog … so, today I’m going to share some great cards that were created with the stamp sets you will find in it …

One of my favorites is the Merry Christmas to all (and the coordinating dies) This is perfect if you need to make quick -n- easy cards, and don’t feel bad about that because we are all busy … just pair it with one of our beautiful designer papers.

One this card I simply used the Gold Foil-Edged Cards & Envelopes … embossed a separate piece of Whisper White Cardstock with the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder and used the die cuts to create an impressive greeting!

My next card highlights the stamp set … just add designer paper!!

Another one of my favorites that you will find in the Annual catalog will not only satisfy your holiday card making needs, but will extend throughout the year … WINTER WOODS STAMP SET:

This beautiful card was created by one of my friends and downline members; Kathy Czerwinski.  This card is simply stamped multiple times … the lighter trees were “stamped off” first before stamping onto her cardfront.

Let’s take that same stamp set and use it for the perfect birthday card …

I used that same stamping technique that Kathy did by stamping off … add some designer paper and you have the perfect quick -n- easy cards.

I have one more from the Winter Woods stamp set …

I love the simplicity of this card … this is another that would work perfectly for a birthday or thinking of you card. Replace the red glimmer paper behind the stamped tree and use your (or their) favorite color.  I embossed the background with the Woodland Embossing Folder … this adds texture to the card.

I hope you enjoyed taking a look at what you could create with these amazing stamp sets. I love the Holiday Catalog but our Annual Catalog is one of the best tools you can get your hands on … so many great samples, fun and informative tips and a whole bunch of cools stuff to satisfy our creative habit!

Everything Festive …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Are you a novice crafters … or do you just love making simple yet fabulous cards? Not all cards need to have 5 layers of cardstock and embellishments, sometimes we just like quick -n- cute.  Today we’re going to start with the Everything Festive stamp set …

The Everything Festive Stamp Set will make sure you’re not at a loss for words. Celebrate Halloween, Christmas, New Year’s, and Valentine’s Day all with one stamp set! Let’s start with the PS I Love You Card … it’s created with the Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, and Whisper White Cardstocks and the Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes … they are the beginning to quick-n-easy cards.

First, we’ll sponge some color on the note card, then add few strips of the Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper; notice the basic layout of these cards are the same … just change up your colors!

When you have the Everyday Season punch pack you can add sweet little punched images quickly … on our PS I Love You card it’s the simple hearts in Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo. We used the leaves on the From our Home to Yours punched from the Brights Designer Series Paper.

O Christmas Tree

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I have another alternative ideas for the Winter Gift / November 2019 Paper Pumpkin. I’ve got to say “WOW” … yesterday’s alternative project made a big hit on Pinterest.  Today I’m sharing the “tree” and have it all decked out for you.

The tag that the tree lays against comes in the kit, I did however stamp it with the cute little snowflakes that are part of the Winter Gifts stamp set.  I cut a background piece in Whisper White and sponged it with Pool Party and then stamped it again with the snowflakes.

I added three strips of ribbon to my background to add some texture and to bring in the color of the tree throughout the card.  These are mounted onto Real Red which coordinates with the Red Rhinestones I used to decorate it.  To add a bit more sparkle, I used the Iced Stampin’ Glitter from the Holiday catalog.

I have several more ideas that I will be sharing with my Paper Pumpkin Pals (PP subscribers with me) using the sled, deer, etc. If you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin through me, I can send you the link to these samples as well as sharing alternative ideas with you when future kits come.

Simply Sunday: Winter Gifts

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Hope this blog post finds you well this Sunday. Today I’d like to share with you a pretty card that I created using the contents of the November 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit. Yesterday I shared with you a video on how to create the projects in the kit, and here are the finished projects …

These are so cute and you could actually face the front of a card with these if you are not into tags, or you can take the many, many pieces from the kit and create your own. That is what I’m sharing today, an alternative to the kit …

I took the tag from the “cardinal” and added the snowflakes.  The greeting is included in the set of stamps that comes with your Paper Pumpkin. That is one of the highlights of getting Paper Pumpkin … even after you’ve used all the goodies inside, you have a wonderful stamp set to use over and over again.

The snow flakes have two sides and I chose the side with the silver imprint to add a little sparkle and shine to my card …

The sparkle comes from the self-adhesive sequins that are also included in the kit … they are silver (they also have an iridescent white pack included too) and I love the way the silver sequins picks up the Pool Party cardstock.  Basically, that is all I added to this card that was not in the kit, a Whisper White base and a piece 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Pool Party.

It’s fun to create with these kits, and it’s even more fun to do them with a friend. I send out Paper Pumpkin Nights to my subscribers periodically to work on our kits! Wanna join us?
