Guest Stamper: Margrethe Hooper

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving weekend, got your shopping done or started and maybe a few decorations hung. I worked extra hours, enjoyed an nice Thanksgiving dinner and had some well needed downtime and for all of it, I am grateful.

Today I have a beautiful card to share with you that was created by my friend and fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator; Margrethe Larsen Hooper. We found each other on-line … Pinterest to be exact, and Stampin’ Up! has made us sisters!

We finally got to meet in person a few weeks ago at the 30th Anniversary Stampin’ Up! OnStage event and it was so much fun to hang out together!

Margrethe’s card was made using the Snowflake Showcase which I will be featuring all week long. This beautiful product suite is only available through then end of November, and when I saw Margrethe’s gorgeous card, I asked if she would allow me to share it on my blog …

I really can’t resist this snowflake … it is so beautiful, and Margrethe’s color combinations and designer paper really bring it to life. The Linen thread and the Subtle textured embossing folder gives the card an organic feel, while the pretty Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle added a touch of elegance.

I hope you enjoyed Margrethe’s card as much as I did… such a beautiful combination of color and textures and it truly highlights the Snowflake Showcase products.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I will continue sharing cards from this product suite.

Have a marvelous Monday!!

Simply Sunday: Snow is Glistening

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Ahhh … we really do enjoy life on a much simpler note don’t we? And why not, that gives us more time to do the things we really enjoy. I do enjoy my stamping but I still like simple, and pretty … and today I have both for you in one card.

Today’s card features the Snow is Glistening stamp set, which is only limited until the end of the month, and I will be showing your more cards in the next few days.

Today’s card is fully embossed in gold … a simple technique that creates stunning results. You can get your glam on and texture in one shot.  The back piece, the tree and the greeting are all embossed with Gold Embossing Powder and the heat gun.

  1. Rub your cardstock with the Embossing Buddy. This will absorb any oils left by your fingers, and eliminate static. Both of these can hold unwanted embossing powder onto your cardstock
  2. Ink up desired image (the tree) with VersaMark™ and stamp onto your cardstock.
  3. Sprinkle your embossing powder over the VersaMark™ ink, and tap off excess embossing powder.
  4. With the heat gun, hold the gun over the embossing powder until the dull embossing powder turns into a beautiful gold.

The embossed pieces have the Gold Foil cardstock as a mat which adds a little more shine and elegance to your card. I’m using Very Vanilla cardstock with my gold today.

The greeting was also embossed in gold and then punched out with the circle punch and coordinating scallop punch. A few Stampin’ Dimensionals to add some added dimension and your card is complete.

If you love the simple elegance of this card, then this is the technique for you. Don’t get me wrong, it’s beautiful stamped in various colors as well, but the gold is stunning.

Thank you for joining me today, and I hope you stop back as I will be sharing more cards with the Snowflake Showcase product suite.

Enjoy your Sunday ~

Christmas Solutions: All Is Bright!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving and celebrated it the way you like!! We each have our own traditions which we cherish and that is OK!!

Today I have two Christmas cards to share with you. They were created with the All is Bright product suite for my Holiday Stamping Retreat. Both cards also highlight the beautiful “All is Bright” Designer Series paper. Our Designer paper is on Sale through Midnight tonight …

Tomorrow the stamp sets and kits will go on Sale with a 10% savings.  Let’s get to our first card …

Are you wanting to make Hand Stamped Christmas Cards this year but feel a bit overwhelmed?  This sweet -n- simple card was created with the “All is Bright” designer paper and the “Merry Christmas to All” stamp set.  This stamp set also has a coordinating die.  We jazzed it up just a bit with a bow and the new Sprig punch from the Holiday catalog… it looks good without it, or how about a shimmery heart – that would be perfect!!

When you need to make quick -n- simple cards …. beautiful designer paper and a good greetings stamp set is the way to go and the “All is Bright” designer paper and “Merry Christmas to All” stamp set is the answer.

What is amazing about the “All is Bright” designer paper is the beauty on one side and the fun on the other! On my next card I am still using the “All is Bright” designer paper … both patterns used come from just flipping the gorgeous paper over.

What reminds you of Christmas? When I was little we had a tree with these Old Fashioned light bulbs so naturally I was drawn to this pattern. Are you lovin’ the bulbs too?

I used the stars as my backdrop and then added the Christmas lights for a fun and festive element to the card, and they really pull the eye to the card (which just means they are so stinkin’ cute!).

And if you’re loving these little Christmas bulbs then the “Making Christmas Bright” is on your shopping list, or you have it already.  Where you drawn to the combination of Stars and Bulbs like I was?? Oh my gosh, I thought this was such a fun and unique stamp set … one we haven’t seen yet.   Here’s another (I shared earlier) …

and the cute little door tags from my Holiday Retreat could easily be turned into a card … just put a greeting where I have my guests name!

Such a fun, fun stamp set and coordinating designer paper.  The designer papers are on sale today, stamp sets tomorrow … so choose your larger savings. If you need help or have questions let me know.

Thank you for spending part of your Saturday with me. I hope you enjoyed the card shares.  I will be back tomorrow with my Simply Sunday.

Have a wonderful day ~

Aren’t these cards just stunning! I love the look of stained glass in combination with the “Illuminated Christmas” from the Holiday Catalog. The O, Holy Night card is my favorite.

The vellum is subtle and uncolored on this card but it still makes a statement.  The beautiful star that draws your eye to the card and then the use of the Stained Glass Thinlits Dies as it highlights the Three Wisemen… I love it!!

The “Hope” Card is beautiful too with it’s colored vellum. This card also used the Stained Glass Thinlits Dies and the Subtle Dynamic Embossing Folder. What’s neat about this card is, you have a beautiful layout now, and you can transform it just by switching color pallets … the blues would be gorgeous too.

Let me know if you need any help placing your order, or if you just have a question about it.

Hope your day is a good one.

Sending Christmas Wishes …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

The camera is back and so am I 🙂 Last week I wanted to share a cute gift that I made for my Holiday Retreat attendees, and today I have them for you! I began with the Christmas Traditions Punch Box … a wonderful gift in itself.

If you look at the picture above you will see where I got the inspiration for my attendee gifts. I created 4 Gift Tags and boxed them up in the new Bakers Box found on page 49 of the Occasions catalog.

Each gift box had 3 of the tags tucked inside and the 4th was tied to the front so that everyone got to see what was inside without having to open their boxes.  Only one was not showcased and that was because it had no tie, it’s closure was Velcro …

This cute little tag was created to look like a present!  It actually opens by pulling the top up which is secured with a Velcro tab. I used the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series paper. There are 6 different stamps included in punch box, I couldn’t pick a favorite …

My second of the 4 tags is a folded tag so you can easily write a message to the recipient of the gift …

Because I used the stamp “Heaven and Nature Sing” … I decided to use the “Stars” from the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series paper as well.  I try to limit my supplies when recreating my projects. I added a touch of green with the Sprig Punch. (Sorry this photo got a little fuzzy)

My next tag is a fun and simple tag to create …

I fell in love with the “Making Christmas Bright” bundle and we actually highlighted this bundle in our Friday Night stamp session as well. The colors from the Christmas Traditions Punch Box actually coordinate with the Making Christmas Bright bundle.  Using the Layering Circle Framelits Dies made it easy to highlight the greeting.

The last of the 4 tags used the “Sending Christmas Wishes” greeting …

This little beauty was created in Pool Party and Silver.  I did a waterwash of color on the tag in Pool Party, let it dry, and then heat embossed the greeting in Silver.

The silver cardstock is the Galvanized Metallic Paper and with the use of the Big Shot Embossing Mats the background was created with the Blizzard Thinlits Die.

I enjoyed making these gift tags for my attendees and you could easily replicate them, or make the ones shown below …

These cute tags use the stamps and punch included in the kit, a circle punch and the “Tufted” embossing folder. How cute and simple are these!!

Thank you so much for stopping in to visit me today, I hope you enjoyed these samples. I have listed the ingredients below. You can find more information about each item by clicking on the photo.

JUST ANNOUNCED: You can save 10% on the Punch Box Kits (there is one in the Annual Catalog too!) November 25–26 during our Online Extravaganza.

I’ll have full details tomorrow on our Online Extravaganza. See you then.

Have a fabulous day today ~

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

My apologies for the “patchy” posts … Today I’m giving you a sneak peek into the Occasions catalog that we saw at our Stampin’ Up! OnStage event in Orlando!!

Let’s start with the “Beautiful Abounds” stamp set and coordinating dies …

For those of you who cannot resist butterflies, you will fall in love with the delicate dies and the beautiful coordinating stamp set … so elegant.

Those cute little wooden butterfly elements will be found in the upcoming Sale-a-bration Catalog … oh yes, you can get these for FREE!

I am so impressed with all the wonderful items in the Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs … I can’t wait to send them to you!!  Make sure you are on my mailing list. If you’ve purchased from me in the past, you are on my list.

If you are in need of a demonstrator, I’d be honored to help you and send you both the Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs.

Let’s take a look at a cute project next …

I am just in love with the new Gingham Designer Paper … don’t you think it’s so cute!! That is in the Occasions Catalog.  And the coordinating ribbon … in the Sale-a-bration Catalog.

I encourage you to be one of the first to host a Stampin’ Party during Sale-a-bration … I’m working on filling my calendar now, so message me below or email me at: lindaluvs2stamp@aol.com

Now … I also want to share the OnStage highlight video that starts with Shelli (Co-founder) 15 years ago talking about her vision of Stampin’ Up! When you have a goal … dreams come true!

I had a wonderful time at ONSTAGE this November. It’s so exciting to see the upcoming catalogs, to celebrate our stampin’ sisters (and brothers) for their achievements, and best of all … see all my stampin’ friends from all over the country!

We’re having our Spring OnStage this coming April … Will you join me?

Thank you so much for spending part of your Sunday with me, it is greatly appreciated.

Have a wonderful day ~

Christmas Traditions …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I used the “Christmas Traditions Punch Box” … this awesome box of goodies would also make the perfect gift itself!

Start with this festive tin filled with crafting goodies, add your favorite paper and adhesives, and begin creating for the season!  Not only can you make cute tags and cards but you (or your gift recipient) will have this beautiful tin as a keepsake. OR you can fill it with cookies!! lol

Box includes:
* Christmas Traditions 6-piece photopolymer stamp set
* 2-7/8″ x 2-11/16″ (7.3 x 6.8 cm) clear stamp block

Coordinating colors: Call Me Clover, Real Red, silver

These are the cute stamps that are included in the Christmas Traditions Punch box. Now let me show you the cute tags that I made for my Holiday Stampin’ Retreat attendee’s.

OK … It appears I have left my camera in my sisters car (lives in Marshfield) or I left somewhere between Florida and home!  (SAD FACE) So I’ll share these tags with you instead … they are cute.

These tags are quick -n- easy to make, and could easily be turned into a quick Christmas card.  I promise to share my tags as soon as I find my camera or get another to take photos with.

Thank you so much for joining me today ~

Great News … Great New Product Announcement

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Sorry I missed you yesterday, I still feel a bit like I’m in a time warp! lol  Trying to catch up after being gone, and getting everything from Retreat and Convention put away, but I wouldn’t have missed either for the world.

I will be sharing more of each of those later fun events later as I have awesome card samples too!!

Today I’d like to share a few announcements and goodies that are coming your way.  First, our Online Extravaganza is coming next week! Deals start November 23 (Black Friday) through November 28. I will get you more details as they are released to us.

I also have some great news … if you ever had trouble getting your red rubber stamps to stick to the clear blocks, your troubles will soon be over!! Stampin’ Up! have created Cling Stamps …

  • At the OnStage events in November 2018, Stampin’ Up!’s cofounder Shelli Gardner introduced and demonstrated the new red rubber stamping solution: cling stamps.
  • Beginning with the 2019 occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure, all new stamp sets will be available either in cling (for red rubber stamps) or photopolymer.
  • Stamps in the 2018-2019 annual catalog will continue to be available in clear-mount, wood-mount, or photopolymer.
  • Red rubber stamp sets (clear-mount or wood-mount) in the annual catalog that will be carrying over will transition to cling with the 2019-2020 annual catalog. Watch for more information about carryover stamp sets in April 2019 with the regularly scheduled communication about catalog transitions, the carryover list, and the retiring products list.
  • In 2019-2020 annual catalog, clear-mount and wood-mount stamps* will no longer be available. The only exception is background stamps in North America only, which will still be available in wood-mount.

I have even more exciting news to share … and I will do so along with some awesome card samples. They have inspired me, and I’m sure they will do the same for you.

So … I’ll be back tomorrow with a cute “gift” that I created for my Retreat Attendee’s.  See you then.

Thank you for stopping by ~

Stampin’ Up! OnStage: Day 3

Using the die cut wheels! Next up is a good look at the designer series paper …

Stampin’ Up! OnStage Event: Day 2

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Day 2 of our stamping event. A lot of walking, a lot of stamping demonstrations, always a time to stamp and always Prize Patrol or some type of give away, and recognition walks across the stage. Today I walked across the stage for my Flex Point (Sales+) and was honored to walk with two of my friends Evie and JoAnne … sorry, no picture of that.

This is how we kicked off our evening session!! You will notice a blond coming through the crowd, that is Sara Douglass … she is our CEO!!

How fun is this!! I love coming to our OnStage or any Stampin’ Up! sponsored events because I get so inspired and rejuvenated.  I also get to connect with fellow demonstrator friends …

This is Evelyn Wood … we met years ago at a past Stampin’ Up! connection and have been friends ever since. This year we are sharing our goals with each other, so we can encourage each other to reach these goals!

Evelyn’s and her group, the Stamping Sirens adopted me (LOL) because I came alone to OnStage. What lovely ladies … really, they are a hoot!! We went out to dinner together and had an awesome time.

Our picture taking began after we received another give-a-way … the new Gingham Designer Paper! The colors are awesome!! YOU are going to love it ❤ I do!!

Now let me introduce you to Greta … we actually met on-line and have chatted for almost a year.  We decided to meet face to face here at OnStage, it was so nice to meet her in person. I also got to meet her upline Bente too.

Walking across the stage for recognition is fun, and going on the Incentive trips are even better … but the best and most important thing for me in my Stampin’ Up! journey is all the beautiful people I have met.

Whether they are fellow demonstrators or my downline or my customer aka: stampin’ friends, I would not have been doing this for 18 years without them!!

Together we create magic with ink and paper and bring happiness to others when we send our cards out, and that magic brings friendships and fun with it.

If you need a creative outlet, or if you want to meet new people, or if you want to have fun … I invited you to sit down a chat with me, because I would love to share this amazing opportunity with you.  It’s too good not to share!

Today is our last day at OnStage, kind of sad, but I will share more of the fun with you.

Thank you for hanging out with me today, see you tomorrow ~

Stampin’ Up! OnStage Event: Day 1

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Yesterday was our first full day at the Stampin’ Up! OnStage Event so I was up early to get ready and begin the day …

I thought I would take you along with me so you can get a birds eye view of the celebration along with a little sneak peek of the Occasions Catalog!!  Once we hit the convention center … we all head for the Main Stage and Opening Session.

Once the doors are opened we are greeted by Stampin’ Up! Staff, some fun music, and a decked out Main Stage.  Here we gather to celebrate 30 years, each others accomplishments, and to check out the new Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs …

On Main Stage we have presenters from the Stampin’ Up! staff and our fellow demonstrators.  Here is a SNEAK PEEK into the Occasions catalog … Let me introduce you to the Butterfly Gala!!

Another Butterfly Gala sneak peek …

While here, Stampin’ Up! likes to spoil us … CenterStage Achievers got to pick up their new catalogs last night!! Today during the product showcases, they host PRIZE PATROLS!! We are given a number at check-in and when they pick your number during Prize patrol … you get a stamp set!! Today, I won the Part of my Story Stamp set … I love this one, it has fun sentiments to make others happy.

You will also see that really cute little bag … It’s a tool bad and each attendee got one of those today!!  So excited to see what tomorrow will bring!

Have a good day today and thanks for stopping in.

CenterStage 2018

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

So we made it to Florida yesterday and I headed to the Convention Center to grab my goodies and hop on a bus to Epcot!!  Stampin’ Up! sent all it’s Leaders to Epcot for a fun filled day and a special area set aside for us to pick up a gift and a treat!

When we arrived we got an envelope full of our ribbons (we receive those as recognition for our achievements) and a note that tells us when we are to walk across the stage to be recognized … very exciting! Then we got this beautiful box …

In the box was our Convention bag, and in the bag we found a new stamp set, some notebooks and pens, or badge holder and my favorite … the Greek Isles Pin!!  I have that safely tucked into my name tag so I don’t loose it!

The bag … you want to see the bag? Oh … it’s beautiful

After I checked out all my goodies and packed them up tight, we hopped a bus and headed to Epcot. Epcot is a theme park at Walt Disney World Resort featuring exciting attractions, international pavilions, award-winning fireworks & seasonal special events.

Norway …

France …

Germany …

It was a great time!! I bit crowded but I think that was because of the Food Festival being held there … YUM YUM! I had a Norwegian Club Sandwich and some Lefsa!!

In Disney style … they end the night with fireworks!

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my blog.

Today I will be attending opening session of OnStage 2018 and partying with 7000+ of my stampin’ sisters (and brothers!).

Have a great day ~
