Mele Kalikimaka (Hawaiian Christmas Song)

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I’m sending you warm holiday wishes with our So Santa Stamp Set. Have you ever wondered what Santa is doing in his spare time? Well, here are some snapshots …

The card I’m going to share with you today is quite fitting for the Incentive Trip that Stampin’ Up! has planned for us … we are currently stamping towards Maui!! Warm breezes and Palm Trees swaying … doesn’t that sound perfect right now!!  So here is Santa saying … Mele Kalikimaka!

Here’s Bing Crosby (one of the first to record this song written in 1949 … it also features the Andrew Sisters) Blast from the past 🙂

Just some fun for a Tuesday … hope you enjoyed.  If your interested in finding out how you can go on an all expenses paid trip for two to Maui, contact me – there is plenty of time to earn this trip yet.

Thanks for stopping in, see you tomorrow ~

Snowflake Showcase Parade of Cards

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

At times during the month I have shared with you several beautiful cards from our Snowflake Showcase made with the stamp sets and dies.  I’ve loved working with this showcase of products and I’m sharing all of them with you today.   *Today is also the last day your can purchase any items in this product suite.

Love this card because I created it with the left overs …

Don’t you just love the red card … it reminds me of a sweater! (lol … don’t ask me why?) The cute floral card was created with the Happiness Surrounds stamp set. And count me in for the watercolor background with the tree!!

Another from the Happiness Surrounds stamp set that is truly delightful and fun. The colors just pop!

Simple and Elegant in Very Vanilla and Gold … sheer Christmas.

This is my friends Margarete’s card … so beautiful and airy. I just love it and so happy she allowed me to share it with you.

This was one of my favorite cards that I designed for our  2018 Holiday Stamping Retreat … This is the card that generated the “scraps” that I used on the card at the beginning of the “parade of cards” …

Could not make a card sample without using the snowflake swoosh … it is one of the main reasons I had to have this die set (and coordinating stamp sets).

Another card created with the Happiness Surround’s stamp set (lol … spelled it wrong on my card) This one was fun, we made it in my Advanced Stamparatus Class but it was easy to make!!

I could not let this day go by without sharing all these lovely cards with all of you who have purchased this showcase of products, and to remind everyone that today is the last day, so if you love it … don’t let it go.  It is gone for good after midnight tonight.

Thank you for joining me for my Snowflake Showcase Parade of Cards.  Please let me know if you have any questions or if you need help placing your order.

Have a wonderful day … let’s kick off the weekend right!

Here are the products available in the Snowflake Showcase ….

Peace On Earth Card

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Today I want to share with you the second reason why I had to have the Snowflake Showcase …

If you’re looking for something a little different and that will take that ordinary “snowflake” up a notch, then you too will “melt” over this combination. Yesterday (and the day before) I shared cards that featured the big so today I want to bring back the tree, and the die that turned my head.

WOW … this pretty card was done in the new Soft Seafoam and white – simple. Do you see the “swoosh” of snowflakes? That is one cut with this die … I love this unique shape! I cut this from Vellumn cardstock so you get a soft look.

Each snowflake was highlighted with a rhinestone gem except the large one which I used the snowflake trinket.

This simple yet pretty card could be done in any color and the snowflake swoosh is the centerpiece of the card.  This stamp set and die are only available for a few more days, and then it will be gone.

I hope you enjoyed todays card, I will be back tomorrow featuring the second stamp set in the Snowflake Showcase.

Thanks for dropping in …

Enjoy your day.

A Blizzard of Wishes

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I see you made it through Monday!! lol  Me too … now we can get on with the rest of the week, and another Snowflake card!!

I have to admit that when I first saw this come out, I thought, another snowflake stamp set??? But WOW … this is so different from the others, first there is the cool stamp that sprinkles down the snowflakes! Let me show you …

See how my Tranquil Tide snowflakes gently fall from the top of the Pool Party cardstock? That is the stamp … nothing fancy from me!! I just fell in love with this (the other reason I bought it will be featured on tomorrows card).

There is nothing lacking on the beautiful snowflake die either, especially when its cut from the new “Sparkle” Glimmer paper. If you thought the Dazzling Diamonds that retired last year was pretty … wait till you see this!

The little snowflake is cut with the White Velveteen paper (Sold Out) and backed with the Joyous Noel Glimmer paper and topped off with a Clear Faceted Gem. If the layering of snowflakes didn’t add enough texture to my card … I added the Tranquil Tide Velvet Ribbon as well.

The greeting is included in the Snow is Glistening Stamp set and is stamped in Tranquil Tide.  Don’t you just love this color combination!! Hope you enjoyed my Snowflake Card and that it “melts” your heart!

Thank you for dropping in for a visit today!

Have a good day ~

Guest Stamper: Margrethe Hooper

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving weekend, got your shopping done or started and maybe a few decorations hung. I worked extra hours, enjoyed an nice Thanksgiving dinner and had some well needed downtime and for all of it, I am grateful.

Today I have a beautiful card to share with you that was created by my friend and fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator; Margrethe Larsen Hooper. We found each other on-line … Pinterest to be exact, and Stampin’ Up! has made us sisters!

We finally got to meet in person a few weeks ago at the 30th Anniversary Stampin’ Up! OnStage event and it was so much fun to hang out together!

Margrethe’s card was made using the Snowflake Showcase which I will be featuring all week long. This beautiful product suite is only available through then end of November, and when I saw Margrethe’s gorgeous card, I asked if she would allow me to share it on my blog …

I really can’t resist this snowflake … it is so beautiful, and Margrethe’s color combinations and designer paper really bring it to life. The Linen thread and the Subtle textured embossing folder gives the card an organic feel, while the pretty Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle added a touch of elegance.

I hope you enjoyed Margrethe’s card as much as I did… such a beautiful combination of color and textures and it truly highlights the Snowflake Showcase products.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I will continue sharing cards from this product suite.

Have a marvelous Monday!!

Simply Sunday: Snow is Glistening

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Ahhh … we really do enjoy life on a much simpler note don’t we? And why not, that gives us more time to do the things we really enjoy. I do enjoy my stamping but I still like simple, and pretty … and today I have both for you in one card.

Today’s card features the Snow is Glistening stamp set, which is only limited until the end of the month, and I will be showing your more cards in the next few days.

Today’s card is fully embossed in gold … a simple technique that creates stunning results. You can get your glam on and texture in one shot.  The back piece, the tree and the greeting are all embossed with Gold Embossing Powder and the heat gun.

  1. Rub your cardstock with the Embossing Buddy. This will absorb any oils left by your fingers, and eliminate static. Both of these can hold unwanted embossing powder onto your cardstock
  2. Ink up desired image (the tree) with VersaMark™ and stamp onto your cardstock.
  3. Sprinkle your embossing powder over the VersaMark™ ink, and tap off excess embossing powder.
  4. With the heat gun, hold the gun over the embossing powder until the dull embossing powder turns into a beautiful gold.

The embossed pieces have the Gold Foil cardstock as a mat which adds a little more shine and elegance to your card. I’m using Very Vanilla cardstock with my gold today.

The greeting was also embossed in gold and then punched out with the circle punch and coordinating scallop punch. A few Stampin’ Dimensionals to add some added dimension and your card is complete.

If you love the simple elegance of this card, then this is the technique for you. Don’t get me wrong, it’s beautiful stamped in various colors as well, but the gold is stunning.

Thank you for joining me today, and I hope you stop back as I will be sharing more cards with the Snowflake Showcase product suite.

Enjoy your Sunday ~

TODAY’S STAMPIN’ SUPPLY LIST … If you’d like what you see and want to purchase any of the items used, you can begin by clicking on the item … this will take you to my online store. Any orders over $50 (before Shipping & Handling) will qualify for my Stampin’ Rewards.

Christmas Solutions: All Is Bright!

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving and celebrated it the way you like!! We each have our own traditions which we cherish and that is OK!!

Today I have two Christmas cards to share with you. They were created with the All is Bright product suite for my Holiday Stamping Retreat. Both cards also highlight the beautiful “All is Bright” Designer Series paper. Our Designer paper is on Sale through Midnight tonight …

Tomorrow the stamp sets and kits will go on Sale with a 10% savings.  Let’s get to our first card …

Are you wanting to make Hand Stamped Christmas Cards this year but feel a bit overwhelmed?  This sweet -n- simple card was created with the “All is Bright” designer paper and the “Merry Christmas to All” stamp set.  This stamp set also has a coordinating die.  We jazzed it up just a bit with a bow and the new Sprig punch from the Holiday catalog… it looks good without it, or how about a shimmery heart – that would be perfect!!

When you need to make quick -n- simple cards …. beautiful designer paper and a good greetings stamp set is the way to go and the “All is Bright” designer paper and “Merry Christmas to All” stamp set is the answer.

What is amazing about the “All is Bright” designer paper is the beauty on one side and the fun on the other! On my next card I am still using the “All is Bright” designer paper … both patterns used come from just flipping the gorgeous paper over.

What reminds you of Christmas? When I was little we had a tree with these Old Fashioned light bulbs so naturally I was drawn to this pattern. Are you lovin’ the bulbs too?

I used the stars as my backdrop and then added the Christmas lights for a fun and festive element to the card, and they really pull the eye to the card (which just means they are so stinkin’ cute!).

And if you’re loving these little Christmas bulbs then the “Making Christmas Bright” is on your shopping list, or you have it already.  Where you drawn to the combination of Stars and Bulbs like I was?? Oh my gosh, I thought this was such a fun and unique stamp set … one we haven’t seen yet.   Here’s another (I shared earlier) …

and the cute little door tags from my Holiday Retreat could easily be turned into a card … just put a greeting where I have my guests name!

Such a fun, fun stamp set and coordinating designer paper.  The designer papers are on sale today, stamp sets tomorrow … so choose your larger savings. If you need help or have questions let me know.

Thank you for spending part of your Saturday with me. I hope you enjoyed the card shares.  I will be back tomorrow with my Simply Sunday.

Have a wonderful day ~

Snowflakes… Sparkling and Special

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

How are you on this Wednesday? I am choosing to be happy … somedays life can be crap, but I’m just not taking it!! lol  Looking at the bright side and knowing that I’m just days away from spending a fun weekend with a group of wonderful ladies stamping!

Yesterday I share two cards that introduced the new Snowflake Showcase, today I’m sharing a card that I created with the left overs from one of my retreat cards. Don’t feel second best, because this card is the bomb … I just couldn’t throw the die cut piece away! Enough talking … let me show you!

See that big beautiful piece of “Sparkly” glimmer paper? I know you would or could not throw that away either! So … we tuck another piece of glimmer paper behind it, cut out a few more snowflakes, add a greeting and ta-da … we’re done!

I had some of the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper left from last year, but I wanted to make sure that I used the “new” SPARKLY Glimmer paper and WOW!!

I love the all the different colors  you can see in this glimmer paper, pinks, and greens and more … and depending on what color you put with it, it will bring out that color in the Sparkly paper … oh so pretty!!

It’s like magic …

All of the products in the Snowflake Showcase will be available to order beginning tomorrow November 1st through the 30th or while supplies last.  Even though I have “snowflake” stamp sets, this is so much more, just listen to the verse on this card …

Each snowflake is beautiful, sparkling, and special … just like you!

Awe … this card would be perfect for a birthday, a get well, or to cheer someone up! This may be just the card someone needs to get them to that “I’m going to have a good day” day.

On that note, I hope that you have a wonderful day and share a smile … they are free and may make someone’s day.

Thanks for sharing a part of your day with me ~

Two for Tuesday: Snowflake Showcase

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’m thrilled to show you this amazing new product suite …

Today I’ll be sharing 2 beautiful cards with you along with pictures of the product so you can see for yourself how amazing this is.

Snowflake Showcase isn’t just for winter, these products are perfect for year round. Don’t believe me? Shannon West, from the Riverton home office, is here to show you how Snowflake Showcase is perfect for everyone.

Amazing right!! First card I have is from the Snow is Glistening stamp set (149742) …

You can’t have this amazing stamp set without the coordinating dies, which by the way, coordinate with BOTH stamp sets!!

The second card is from the Happiness Surrounds Stamp Set (149744) …

I am always looking for stamps and die sets that work for more than one season, it just makes sense and a better investment. I also fell for the fonts … they are fun and readable greetings and salutations.

And, if you’re like me, you like to grab up those coordinating embellishments. The cute Snowflake Trinkets are simply lovely …

The Snowflake Trinkets are a great way to embellish your cards, or your ears, neck … are you catching this? They are so cute … why not make jewelry out of them. Embellish a gift package with them, Christmas is just around the corner!!

AND … if you are a paper junkie like I am (Three sheets short of being declared a hoarder – LOL) You are simply going to FLIP over this new White Velvet Paper!! It is so cool and of course, velveteen to the touch.

I feel head over heels for the Snowflake Showcase and will be introducing it to my Retreat Attendee’s this weekend, but don’t feel left out, I have a special card to share with you tomorrow!!

I will also be hosting a class or two, I just need to figure out the details, so keep your eyes open and make sure you are on my mailing list. YOU will NOT want to miss this one!!  This showcase will be available to order November 1st through the 30th or while supplies last.

Thank you so much for joining me this Tuesday, be sure to stop back tomorrow to see what I did this this set so far.

Have a wonderful day ~

Star of Wonder …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

As I prepare for my upcoming Holiday Stampin’ Retreat in two weeks, I reflect on past retreat and how many wonderful people have joined us, the creative projects we have done and the fun!

We’ve had some amazing cards and last year’s Holiday Catalog was packed with some amazing stamp sets. Yesterday I shared some beautiful cards from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set and today I have one from the stunning Star of Light stamp set.

We created several cards using this amazing stamp set but this was one of my favorites. Simple in layout but it speaks loudly in its design.  The musical notes are a tie in to the verse which almost plays in my mind like a beautiful Christmas song.

The star is die cut from the Starlight Thinlits from Gold Glimmer paper, first the detailed die in the gold and then the solid die in Basic Black.

This may not be in the Holiday Catalog but you’ll see there are amazing Holiday stamps in our Annual Catalog as well.

Hope you enjoyed todays little flashback.

Enjoy your day ~

Christmas Beauty and Joy

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Did you enjoy your weekend? I hope so. I enjoyed a wonderful group of ladies who joined me for a Stamparatus Class! It is always fun to stamp with others … plus there is a touch of free therapy!  lol

Today I’m bringing you a touch of the holidays … a little Christmas.  While you’re looking around for some inspiration for your Christmas cards this year, don’t forget the Annual Catalog. We have a few of the most popular sets from last years Holiday Catalog and some brand new ones, like Stylish Christmas on page 101.

The poinsettia in this stamp set is so elegant … the soft swirls and the holly leaves are paired with some beautiful sentiments.  These are the new distinktive stamps. They are made of the same premium rubber as our wood-mount stamps and have deeply etched images so you get a superior stamped impression each time.

The “pretty paper” I used as my background also came out of the Annual Catalog (page 189) called “Under the Mistletoe”.  I love the festive, traditional, dynamic patterns for your holiday projects. You are able to create so many different styles with this paper.

Today’s card may have a simple layout but not everyone likes the “putsy” cards … so if you like these supplies and layout, just add the Stamparatus … you can have your holiday cards done in no time at all.

Please let me know if you have questions about the Stamparatus or the project I shared today. I’m here to help.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Enjoy your day ~

Holidays Edged in Gold …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you enjoyed your weekend and my Simply Sunday post … You will notice that todays card has the same basic layout as yesterdays card but by stepping it up by adding an additional product, it will change the entire look of the card. WOW!!

So in they style of keepin’ it simple, I am still using the Gold Foil-Edged cards, envelopes, and the Merry Christmas to All Bundle with the Gold Foil Sheets, BUT instead of the Vanilla cardstock … I’m using Cherry Cobbler cut to the 5″ x 3-3/4″ card front …

WOW …  is what the stunning Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Designer paper does to your card when you add it to your card. You know, this would be pretty over the Vanilla paper too! Want to know something else amazing about this designer paper? It’s Whisper White on one side and Very Vanilla on the other … how cool is that!?

This delicately detailed laser-cut sheets can easily be cut apart and used as accents on card fronts. So pretty and so much fun, I know you’ll think of amazing cards with this paper… just switch out colors and switch out your greetings and you’ll be set for any occasion … oh, weddings would be pretty too!

I did put a banner on this card to highlight my greeting so it would “pop”.  I used glue dots to attach it but I had to roll them so they would be skinny … that helped hide them and lifted the greeting up to create some dimension.  Simple can be stunning!

I thank you for stopping back and I hope your have a wonderful week.

My Saturday Stamparatus Class is SOLD OUT but I have room left in the Thursday Night Class.  Payment will have to get to me by this Wednesday so I can purchase your Stamparatus for class.

There is still one week remaining in our Dashing Along Promotion …

Simply Sunday: Making Holidays Simple

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I hope you are enjoying this beautiful weekend. I had the pleasure of going to my grandsons soccer game yesterday. I had a nice time chatting with my daughter and watching Aiden’s game … and they won!!

We all have to remember to slow down every now and then and enjoy the little things in life, because they are truly the important things.  Many of us have very busy lives and find it hard to do all the things we want, our intentions are good!

Lets say you’ve been meaning to make Christmas cards year after year but you just run out of time or you don’t get as many made as you’d like to, let me help … Today my Simply Sunday post is to share a beautiful yet simple card that will be easy for you to get those cards done.

Pretty right!? The base of the card is the Gold Foil Edge Cards & Envelopes!! You can find these on page 11 of the Holiday Catalog and you get 20 of each (card base & envelope). Then I simply cut a front to emboss, you don’t have to … you can go directly to the greetings which are from the “Merry Christmas to All” bundle. It can be that easy!

If you do want to step it up and create some texture on the card, the front is 5″ x 3-3/4″ then run it through the BigShot with your favorite embossing folder.  I used the “Tufted” but the new “Swirls and Curls” embossing folder that is part of the All is Bright product suite, either would work great!  The new Seasonal Wreath would be pretty too!

The “Happy” is heat embossed in gold and the “Holidays” is cut from the Gold Foil paper, again both are from the Merry Christmas to All Bundle from the All is Bright product suite found on pages 4 and 5 of the Holiday Catalog.

So whether you chose the card front to emboss and add texture of just adhere the greeting directly to the front, it will get you on the fast track to your cardmaking this holiday season.

If you would like to see this layout stepped up just a bit more … stop back tomorrow, it’s a beauty!!

I’m so happy and grateful that you’ve taken time out of your Sunday to sit with me a while.

Enjoy the rest of your day, and I’ll see you tomorrow.

Create Christmas Cheer

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Oh my gosh … I have the cutest cards to share with you today. These cards were shared with us (demonstrators) from Stampin’ Up! and it wouldn’t be nice if I kept these cuties to myself.

You’ll recognize these samples from the Holiday Catalog and can be found on page 38. You will also notice the Buffalo Check background stamp (I will be sharing some samples & tips on this in a future post).

Here is the “Spirited Snowman” … Give these holly jolly snowmen a place in your home. They deserve it! And they will prove themselves useful!

He just looks like he is having snow-much fun!! And so can you when you a head start in your stamping schedule and get started on your seasonal cards! Using just one stamp set, Spirited Snowman. Stampin’ Up! created these three different cards… the versatility of the set is enhanced with different coloring themes and techniques.

Each one is so cute in it’s own way … I love the two snow-people hugging and the sample on the far right, so cute and so simple to make.  Stamp your snowman … emboss your snowflakes with clear embossing powder … and then sue your watercolor pencils to add color to the background and then blend it with your Aqua painter!  When you blend the watercolor pencils the clear snowflakes will now “pop” out and look white (looks like magic!).

When you purchase your Spirited Snowman you can use the Hostess Code Y6DU6NVB

Thank you for spending a part of your Wednesday with me …

Enjoy your day!
