Bargain Hunters Delight

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

I’m excited to share some of my favorite items that have just been put in the Clearance Rack … time to save some money!!

Let’s begin with the return of some of my favorite In-Colors … not sure which ones I’m more hungry for, the Blueberry Bushel or the Grapefruit Grove! Stampin’ Up! sure picks out some yummy names for colors 🙂

Are you a Designer Paper lover? They’ve just added some great retired Designer and Specialty papers … the first is the “From the Heart” Specialty Designer paper …..

This first card was created with two patterns, the one with the small hearts for a background and the second which was punched with the heart punches which were designed to coordinate with this paper …

I did the same on this card, two patterns and the Heart Doilies which are also on the clearance rack …

The last card has a third pattern for the background, the pretty foil heart which was punched out and the doily!!

The next designer paper is Dino Days … I love this one ❤ I spent time with my great grandson (he’s 5) making dinosaur cards … he loves the die cutting machine!! lol

This designer paper has two of the In-Colors on the Clearance rack “Lovely Lipstick” and “Pineapple Punch” …. AND the Dino Days stamp set and coordinating Dino dies are still in the catalog!

We thought it would be fun to create “Birth Announcements” with Dinosaurs … I thought the designer paper was perfect for it!

We also made a cute “friendship” card using this cute dinosaur paper … looks like they are having a party!!

My last is also my favorite … the sentiment says it all ❤ The designer paper could be used for a number of different occasions.

April Showers & May Flowers …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

As the saying goes “April Showers brings May Flowers” … certainly true in our gardens! Today’s card has both, a hint of showers with a bouquet of flowers! I’m using another pattern from the beautiful Tropical Oasis designer paper and teaming it up with the sweet little boots from the March Paper Pumpkin kit.

Before I get started … I also want to let you in on some amazing information! First, the May Paper Pumpkin kit is going to include the new “2020-2022 In-Colors”!! I’m so excited that you will get your hands on the new in-colors before they are released in the upcoming new Annual Catalog!!

Second bit of information and just as exciting is … Stampin’ Up! has updated the Clearance Rack!! There are some amazing new items (I’m actually purchasing some to create a fun class!). I’ve posted some of my favorites on my Linda’s Stampin’ Escape Facebook page and I’ll have some with card samples here for you tomorrow!!

Like yesterday’s Gift Card Holders, today’s card was recreated from a “card pack” I had sitting around.  Here is the original card ….

Did you notice the pretty paper on this card?  You can see it above on the Clearance Rack listing.  It is the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Paper.  It is on sale right now!! They’ve just added to the Clearance Rack.

Today’s card uses the left over card kit and the Tropical Oasis designer paper I had left over from yesterday’s card!!  I try not to let anything go to waste!  I’ve also incorporated the two stamp set from last months Paper Pumpkin kit.  The color pallet was inspired from this pair of rain boots …

I bought these boots for my sister Ruthie as she battled Pancreatic Cancer.  The boots represent a story between sisters ❤.  When I was 9 and Ruth was 12, we were walking home from school in a terrible snow storm.  I was little first grader, crying, and my feet were cold … I had a hole in my boots.  My sister Ruthie gave me her boots!! So … as she bravely fought her battle against cancer, I brought her the boots and told her that I was there for her, and it was her turn to walk in my boots ❤ She would not walk alone.

Although my sister Ruthie was capable of amazing things, she lost her battle to Pancreatic Cancer 7 years ago.  It’s amazing how a stamp set can make such a heart connection. I’m sure you have a stamp set that pulls on your heart strings as well. These cute little boots were fun and easy to color!  I love that Paper Pumpkin gives you exclusive stamp sets (these are very special to me). The little bit of bling added to this card are from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones … the add the perfect touch!

Throwback Thursday: Swirly Snowflakes

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Today we are going to step back in time with one of my favorite “winter season” die sets … the Swirly Snowflakes!

At first glance these dies might look a little confusing or blah … but what they can create is something special.  Let me show you …

This is one of my favorites … Why? Because I can easily swap out the Christmas greeting for a “Birthday” … “Thinking of You” or whatever you choose. This is a great simple layout to use over and over again. Swap colors out too for a different look.

My next card highlights the snowflakes separately ….

Again … snowflakes for a December or January birthday are perfect. And what girl doesn’t like a little bling. You could do a light blue cardstock with silver snowflakes!

My next card shows the snowflakes with the same color pallet … Gold & Vanilla but has the snowflakes together…

You cannot get much simpler than this … simply die cut and assemble, and it’s so pretty.  My last card uses the “swirls” from the dies …

On this card you could easily switch out your greeting to a birthday, thank you, get well … since the greeting is the focal point on this card, and then embellish your card with the swirls and a snowflake. You wouldn’t even have to put the snowflake on there … and by swapping out designer papers, you could create endless beautiful cards … another perfect layout.

A Rosy Celebration …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Yesterday I shared with you the announcement that the Everything is Rosy has been added to the Clearance Rack, along with a parade of cards to show what you can do with this product medley.  Today I’m going to share some of the cards I created.   I also have a fun announcement for you today … check out the video!!

On my first card, we used the Rose Glimmer Paint to stamp the back ground.  It reminded me of old fashioned wall paper and the glimmer added the perfect twinkle.

The rose gold elements that are include in the medley make creating cards easy, but they look like you’ve spent a lot of time on your card.  I’m sharing the next one in two angles so you can see how beautifully the Rose Gold goes with the Night of Navy.

I love the foils that are include with this medley and “everything” coordinates so it takes the guess work out of your creating … the hard part is picking which pattern you want to use, they are all so pretty.  This card may be simple but I think it’s my favorite.

The next card shows how you can tame down a pattern that you might otherwise think is a bit loud.  Some love it, not my first pick but once I got my card together … I loved it!!

Do you agree? Turned out pretty cool … I cut the frame out using the rectangle framelits which really highlighted the greeting. The pretty floral adhesive die cuts add the finishing touch to the card.  I absolutely fell in love with this card when it was completed.
