Picnic Basket Fun …

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

Didn’t you think those baskets and notecards were cute yesterday? Totally loved them but what if 3-D projects aren’t your style?  Well … I have a fun alternative for you! I love the baskets and thought that they would look cute on the front of my  card – sooooooooooooooo…

Oh My Gosh … I had so much fun creating this card and it was so easy!! I just cut one of the side flaps off the die cut basket, added the rim around the top and added the handle!!

Everything is die cut in this months Paper Pumpkin kit and some pieces already have adhesive on them so placing the strawberries in the basket were simple. Even the little leaves have adhesive so I pulled the two ends together (they were open) and it created a nice cupped leaf look!!

I had to shoot the card at this angle so you could see all the texture and dimension of this card!! The only thing I added to the kit was the card base in Real Red and the Night of Navy front which was embossed with the “Basket Weave” embossing folder!

I love having the kits on hand because then I’m ready if I need a quick card, or sometimes it’s a great afternoon project to do with my grandkids!!  They love it and I don’t have to drag out all my supplies.

These 3 cards came from the February Paper Pumpkin kit … and they are my alternative to the cards that was in the box.  I do this and share it with my Paper Pumpkin subscribers to give them a few more ideas to do with their kits!

This was a quick -n- easy card that looked like I worked so hard on yet the beautiful lazer cut card front was done for us!! I just added the Dazzling Diamonds behind the design and a little pop of color with the ribbon and mat.

This was one of my favorite months and you can tell because it was so easy to play with and come up with additional designs. In fact, I bought myself and extra kit because it had those kit little pillow boxes for treats … Yummy Fun!!

Here are the alternative projects I made from last months Paper Pumpkin.  This one was fun because it coordinated with the Broadway Bound product suite …

Happy 4th of July Cards & Projects

Hello Stampin’ Friends ~

My apologies for the late post but as many of you know … sometimes the cards in our head, don’t always work out on paper!! This was my dilemma on this holiday day … Happy 4th of July to you!! So I’ve decided to share some 4th of July celebration cards I have created in the past …

Four years ago I held a Stampin’ Party and we did some fun projects with the Paper Pumpkin that month … here is what we made: Pinwheels to be used in several different ways!

and a fun banner …

I used the left over straws in my banner creation and in the card below. I tucked a piece of Bakers twine into the straw to create a fire cracker!!  How clever an I … LOL

HOORAY … It’s Your Day!!

Hi Stampers ~

So what did you think of yesterday’s project … cute right! OMGosh today’s project had me tickled pink! Or should I say Lovely Lipstick!!

Yesterday was an interesting day … I’ve been training new employees for the past two weeks so setting up for the weeks events (at work) have been challenging to say the least, however the events started at home! I spilled the coffee grounds, the sugar … oh my, but I wasn’t going to let this start dampen my day! Life is short and is meant to be celebrated so I brushed off those bad vibes and let out a big HOORAY!!

Like I said … this card has me tickled pink!

Again, everything on this card is included in this months kit and I did not add anything outside the kit!! The base kicks off the party and then I added the block of Lovely Lipstick to the center (I’ve loved red and black since the ’80’s!!)

I love the little accent that looks like a marquee so that will be my focal point and will broadcast the HOORAY to announce the celebration!! Too cute!! But I was not done yet!  I added the little green pieces on the sides of the center square to act like moving blinkers calling you to pay attention!! lol  Can you visualize these moving??

Those little green pieces are actually the left over piece from the banners in the kit!! Again, waste not, want not (or so they say) I just thought they looked cool 🙂

I added the two balloons to keep the party going and to create some fun coordination of color! And the sequins added a touch of bling and would highlight/coordinate with the greeting. Overall, I love it!!

Oh wow … I think that coordinating the Paper Pumpkin and a product suite is the catalog is genius!!  I have just ordered the Broadway Birthday suite and can’t wait till it arrives … love the colors and the specialty paper is like a party itself … so much fun!!

I created my alternative card with only the ingredients from the June / Broadway Star kit! The two strips of Lovely Lipstick came from the left over areas of the banner!! Don’t want anything to go to waste … besides, the width was perfect, I only needed to trim off the ends after attaching it to the white banner.  Many of the die cuts already have adhesive on it … easy breezy!!

You can see by this angle the shine from the die cut greeting in gold foil … now that’s one way to get someones attention! lol

I’m visualizing a Happy Saturday! I don’t normally work on Saturday or Sunday (which I am tomorrow) but I’m working so my staff can have off for their prom.  So I’m thinking it’s going to be a good day!

Father’s Day is right around the corner, and whether your favorite guys are sports fans or outdoorsmen or techie nerds, they’ll never tire of getting a handwritten “I love you” in big, swirly letters on their special day, especially inside a card made by you. Wooo Hooo … it’s Friday!  I’m always happy to see the weekend on it’s way (kind of like the Ice Cream truck on a hot summer day)!! Things just seem to get a little easier, less stress …
